Great coffee machine, at a great price. No downside. Love that it has the levels on this model for the different coffee's as the other models have done away with this feature and turned it into guess work as to how much water to run through the machine, I ended up with a coffee that was to weak alot of the time so wasted a lot of pods. I went searching for this model purely for the coffee level Guage and can't complain. Highly recommend this.

I have had 2 of the Mini Me machines and each time they have developed faults after less than a year. Initially, I was very pleased with the coffee machine. It was small enough to have on my bedside table and the pods gave a really nice tasting cup of coffee. The machine is easy to use and clean so seemed to be just what I wanted. After some time, I experienced a lot of leakage which made a terrible mess. The water would not flow through properly so used to overflow and over then the machine didn't maintain a constant temperature for my coffee which resulted in a lot of tepid cups of coffee and many wasted pods. I tried to clean it to see if that was the problem but nothing worked. I also had problems with the lever which was supposed to automatically move to turn ... MoreI have had 2 of the Mini Me machines and each time they have developed faults after less than a year. It stopped doing this which meant that water kept coming through and overflowing and I had to sit watching it and move the lever manually to avoid the overflowing. Another problem was that sometimes pods didn't work and I would just get a cup of hot water. The machine punctured the pods but the water didn't go into them so again a lot of wasted pods. These same problems happened with both machines and it seems to me that they only have a short lifespan of less than 1 year which isn't practical at all and makes them an expensive option. The pods work out expensive too if you drink several cups of coffee a day. I would not recommend this machine and would suggest investing in a non pod machine that is alittle more expensive but better quality.

Dolce gusto mini me coffee machine is small, very compact and easy to use. Also, the weight of around 3 kg allows you to take him with you. Fill the water, insert the coffee capsule, press the button.. You have to wait less than half a minute and the coffee is ready.. Although the temperature cannot be adjusted.. It is set exactly so that the coffee is hot. In addition, you can drink dolche gusto not only coffee, Cappuccino... There is also hot chocolate, tea or just hot water... You can also adjust the volume - if you want a full cup of coffee or Espresso or Cappuccino where there is a separate capsule for milk and coffee. In addition, the coffee tastes great.. And I really like that there is also a good offer from the assortment of Starbucks coffee capsules. And ... MoreDolce gusto mini me coffee machine is small, very compact and easy to use. Beat The Leak !
21 January 2024

My previous Nescafe Gusto Mini Me machine was excellent for more than two years until the seal in the bottom of the water container failed and allowed water to escape whilst the machine was in use.Sadly the replacement machine reviewed here leaked from the same seal from day one. As quickly as water was added to the reservoir it dripped out of the bottom. Consequently I had to retirn the item. The return process was made more difficult by a total lack of paperwork upon delivery but after a telephone call to George Customer Services the matter was quickly brought to a satisfactory conclusion by an immediate refund.

The pods keep bursting but not sure if it's machine or pods. It's the same machine that we had as last time and we replaced it with the same model again but sometimes pods still burst. Not as frequently as they did in the last machine but it's very annoying as liquid can get into the internals of the machine.Either the quality of the Dolce gusto pods has gone down hill or the quality of this machine has. I had one previously that lasted quite a few years, the same model. Funnily enough my brother also has this model and it's also bursting pods.

Not great

A really appealing machine and easy to use but sadly can be dangerous - the pods are left with scalding water inside which is hazardous especially when some drinks need two pods (so you have to change over and handle them while hot). The pods have to be stabbed open to drain / empty coffee grounds after use too - otherwise you would have a bin full of water due to them leaking - and recycling is very tricky, you have to order bags from the company directly or via suppliers then post back to them. The majority of flavours are nice but the drinks come out too hot to drink straight away and too cool to add a regular amount of milk or alternative to. However, it can need 'doubling up' sometimes due to the small quantity (most are 150ml to 200ml) which means cost per ... MoreA really appealing machine and easy to use but sadly can be dangerous - the pods are left with scalding water inside which is hazardous especially when some drinks need two pods (so you have to change over and handle them while hot). However, it can need 'doubling up' sometimes due to the small quantity (most are 150ml to 200ml) which means cost per cup is pricey if you have to effectively use two portions for one cup.The machine itself is compact but the red cord is an eyesore and it is hard to get into all the nooks and crannies of the dispensing part if you want to properly clean it. A shame as this was a great price - if you don't mind the faff and waste of the pods then the chocochino drinks are tasty and the directions are simple enough to follow once you've used it a couple of times.

I'm afraid I can't rave about this machine....I have a Tassimo machine and I wanted to upgrade. The design is lovely, fits nicely into a small space, but I find my hands have difficulty removing the water tank. It's easy to programme and is automatic, but you have to wait for the water to heat up. When the machine is operating the vibrations make my mug dance about a bit...but it's no louder than any other. Easy to load the coffee pods, however they remain full of water when finished and have to be left to drain, which is a bit tiresome.Nice choice of drinks though, hot and cold, and they can be a lot cheaper than Tassimo discs.Overall it's 'ok', but I will be keeping my Tassimo machine....

Out of date pods
18 September 2023

I thought this bundle was a great option as you receive loads of pods with your purchase. After using it for around a week, I happened to glance at the pod box to discover they were months out of date, checking all of them, all out of date. Some expired February, we are now mid September. I cannot return as I’ve used the machine and some pods. I initially chose a Dolce Gusto as I’m lactose intolerant and they do a good range of dairy free pods. The drinks taste good but I would say they do not come out hot enough and you have to ping them to increase temperature. Instructions are not particularly clear, I’m familiar with this machine as I’ve used one before. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this machine. Also I ordered a grey machine to go in my neutral kitchen and it ... MoreI thought this bundle was a great option as you receive loads of pods with your purchase. I ordered one and sent a complaint that the water tank keeps leaking. It's annoying that the water keeps on dropping from the bottom part of the tank when filling and makes mess until you put it back to the machine. When I receive the replacement unit, still the same. I just thought it could be better but I think that's the way it is.Anyway, it makes good drinks. I like that it can make hot and cold coffee. Design of the machine is nice.

Very disappointed!
28 December 2023

The Dolce Gusto Mini Me looked perfect for my small kitchen. I read many very positive reviews before choosing it. I ordered it online and collected it in store. It looked stylish and straightforward to use. I followed the instructions carefully for cleaning the machine before making coffee. When I turned it on to send water through, the machine was incredibly noisy and vibrated so much that it moved across the worktop. I tried several times. I even tried putting it on a mat but that made no difference. The mug also vibrated a lot on the drip tray. It quickly became clear to me that it would not be possible to use the machine. I therefore returned the machine to the store I had collected it from and am awaiting a refund.
