Starts up in about 1 minute, and produces a lovely rich crema. Long black option as well. And easy to use steam pipe for milk/alternative milk heating and frothing. Controls straightforward to use. Better alternative to Nespresso-type capsule machines that waste resources in packaging.

This is by far the best coffee machine I have owned. In my opinion it is the most user friendly and practical design. Very easy to use and clean and I especially love the minimal, clean design. Makes great coffee every time. I honestly cannot fault this machine and so glad I treated myself to it. Highly recommend.

It is worth going through the manual step by step to ensure you get the best experience - but also how nice for a product to come with a proper, in depth, clear and concise instruction book instead of QR codes or random unhelpful pictures. I found it easy to set and useThe machine is super smart and sleek and modern looking and it makes me happy just seeing it in the kitchen (also I love the waft of proper fresh beans I get to smell when I pass it!). The machine makes ristretto, espresso and lungo sized drinks and there is a steam wand to froth milk for flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos, cortados etcI use oat milk predominantly but it froths this just as well as dairy. No steel jug is provided and this is my own but these are easy and cheap to pick up and I got one from John Lewis to really get the full barista experience. 10/10 experience.

For the price, your more paying for the look and brand , the coffee is okay but sometimes it's hit and miss and find all the coffee beans , which ever I try all taste similar and when on finest grind setting , it comes out more watery which is bizarre , and the milk frother makes the milk to frothy and foamy for my licking. More work that using my pod machine and tossing up whether it gives better coffee... Unsure !!!
We bought this one about 3 months ago.Tastes good, working well.However the quality of the machine is bit low.Button icon has started off. All the button icons will soon be blank.We sent an email to SMEG Australia but no responses.Overall, nice machine at this price but bit disappointed from the quality.

Great automatic coffee maker, very little maintenance required. It’s nice being able to get away from pods and use your own beans, but also not take for ever to make a good cup of coffee. The heat up cycle is quick and I love the auto rinse when turning on and off the machine. The steam wand is pretty good, and quick to you use. The only down side is the steam wand when frothing milk, kind of gets milk remnants inside the wand, and it’s the only thing I make sure a give a more decent clean after each use to prevent having rotten milk left behind for the next use; definitely not a deal breaker for me, but does add a little time to the daily routine. The notices are great for when to empty the used coffee beans, which is after about 8 cups.
