I use these in both my everyday shoes, my ice hockey skates and inline skates. I've been using these by recommendation of my physiotherapist and they have helped so much in helping me walk. I have large wide feet with collapsed arches, Achilles tendinopathy and plantar fascitis. These are absolutely fantastic, they don't take up any space in my shoes and fit perfectly in my skates with are already snug. Make sure you replace any insoles you already have or you won't have space and check the sizing. I had to trim the ends as they were a tiny bit long. I've used the same pair for almost three years and I've glued them back together as the glue degraded - but the actual sole and foam topper is still in perfect condition even after going through the washing machine. I was using crutches daily before and I can now run, skate and walk for more than 30 minutes without extreme pain. I would spend any amount of money to ensure I could wear these, I truly wouldn't choose any other brand for my hockey insoles as they are simply perfect for me.

Decent insoles for all day wear

Definitely noticed an improvement versus the standard insoles that came with my shoes having tried these. I have relatively flat feet and the ergonomics they provided were much appreciated. Wish they provided slightly more arch support but besides that, they seem to be much more durable than previous off the shelf insoles I've bought in the past (bought these on recommendation from NY Times' Wirecutter). Time will tell how well they hold up but these are some of the best insoles I've used (other than custom orthotics) to date.

Great support with minimal shoe volume

I have neither complements nor

I have neither complements nor complaints to report, and that's the reason for modest disappointment. If you choose your footwear correctly up front, the inclusion of one of these insoles will not change much. I was hoping for a more revelatory experience. I wear fairly expensive well made shoes. I am careful about fit. If you are like me, you may not need these.

Instant help

The carbon inserts are thin and that lets them fit inside every shoe so far. I ordered the smallest size and I wear a 6.5 shoe. Perfect fit. No trimming. They have all but stopped all foot pain. I don’t know the cause if my pain but I feel it’s Psoas muscle related and it moves to different places in my foot randomly, sometimes making walking almost impossible. The negative is that they smell and make my feet smell. Supposedly they have “odor control”. I’ve only had them a week and I’m not pleased with their smell.

Looking at the insole, the carbon is only in the heel and arch of the foot. The front is soft and flexible. Given the problems of my foot, the insert isolated the working parts of my foot and each step painful to take a step. My foot never felt so bad, trying to work. After this experience, I realize a foot is a very complex appendage and under normal circumstances, the foot joints and muscles move in very complex ways. REI has the cure for debilitating foot pain

A lifetime of walking on extremely flat feet finally caused pretty significant arthritis and major limitations on walking. I used to walk 5 or more miles when I suddenly developed pain severe enough to limit even household weight bearing. Cold packs, massage, OTC analgesics offered no relief. A podiatrist recommended I try Superfeet insoles instead of expensive orthopedics and recommended I buy them at REI because they wouldn’t try to redirect me to sell me a store brand. I’d say I’m good at trimming accurately if needed but I am fortunate to have size foot that does not require trimming except larger hiking boots. These insoles are the second most comfortable for my closer to high arches. But there is simply no cure for the constant squeaking. Powder doesn’t help. A YouTube video suggests hitting bottom slightly with sandpaper, but I didn’t feel I should have to go to that extreme. Only the carbons do this, and both pair I have, and regardless of shoe. No such issues with blue, orange, green trailblazer (trimmed or not), run comfort, run comfort thin, everyday comfort. Thin and supportive

The Superset Carbon Lightweight insoles were purchased do to a recurrence of plantar fasciitis. As the name implies, they are lightweight, thin and supportive due to the carbon fibre. The best part, they fit into my normal size shoes. In the past, I had custom orthotics which were supportive and cushioning but necessitated that I buy bigger size shoes to accommodate. For the moment, I need more cushioning so am using Superfeet Run Comfort Thin Orthotic insoles in my winter hikers. The Carbon Lightweight will be handy in the spring/summer when more normal shoes will be worn.

Turns athletic footwear into champion gear!

I use the carbons in my Nike Tiempos and they are fantastic. They literally make my cleats and body work together. I feel like I have greater footing and control, and of course, after playing I don't have any muscle pain due to natural misalignment. No shin splints, no hurt knees, or hips. I also love the very low profile of the carbons; cleats should run snug so you can't add more bulk. They provide support and comfort in a very subtle way. I highly recommend carbons for any cleat user out there.
