This drop sheet is useful on tiles or smooth surfaces. The tape is a light stick masking tape type and the drop sheet is a light weight plastic. I would use this product to hold an edge and put a normal drop sheet over the top of it. I'm not a fan of using tape to create a painting edge so I wouldn't use it for that. I tested the tape on some painted timber. The drop sheet was taped down for 2 days. After that I pulled the taped drop sheet off with no trouble. I didn't find any sticky residue on the painted timber. I would avoid using it with a heat lamp or hot lights as the plastic is quite light.
