Purchased this for my girlfriend as a Christmas after my experience with the Eon Steel and the support received directly from Suunto. Great little computer, easy to read and use, just be aware that the Lite does not have any of the additional pieces, such as the bungee mount kit or the sync cable, so you would be looking to get those separately with this. The regular watch band works perfectly fine though, very happy with this purchase

Purchased just before a three-week trip to French Polynesia where I knew I'd have the opportunity for excellent diving. I was not disappointed by the trip, nor by my Suunto computer. It had been several years since my last dive and I was still using a watch and logbook to record my dives. The leader/instructor had a dive computer, so I would rely upon her or him for detailed information. I marveled at the clean, efficient design of my Suunto. Although not ready for the pressure monitoring just yet, I wanted to purchase a computer with that capability. The website works well and I appreciate the ability to view my dives in a larger format and access reports. Great build quality and accessories all fit properly. Bravo, Suunto!

Great dive computer for the money, with all the essential functionality in a rugged, easy to use package. My wife & I are still novice divers (PADI Open Water with a few dozen dives); the Suunto makes an excellent choice for a beginning diver's first computer that will provide all the features you need as a recreational diver for a long time.

Great diving computer but poor digital compass
12 August 2020

I'm using this computer fot 3 months now. It helps me fine with (planning) my dives. Dutch u.w. conditions often have bad visibility conditions, so a good compass is indispensable. This function of the computer unfortunately is poorly developed. Needs recalibration too often, loosing setpoint, pressing the button mostly opens the bookmarkfuntion instead of the compass. For the time being, I'm using a separate (Suunto) compass.

Ideal First Dive Computer, especially for the visually challenged.

Used the Suunto Zoop for all of my certification dives and found it to be simple and generally logical to use, with all the functionality that a novice diver requires. As someone with poor eyesight, requiring the constant use of prescription spectacles, I have always appreciated the large numerals and clear display of the Zoop, which were sharp and readable even without my spectacles underwater, and that led directly to the choice of the Vyper Novo as my first, privately owned dive computer.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,With the slightly more advanced and up to date features of the Vyper Novo, including the digital compass, I foresee that this will last for a long time within the scope of the recreational diving that I wish to conduct. Initial use confirms Suunto's reputation for quality engineered, reliable products, and, ease of use. The fact that so many dive schools select the similar Suunto Zoop for their own dive computers is a good indication that these products are trusted for their simplicity of use, rugged design and longevity. This also means that there is usually someone at the dive center who can help navigate the menus when help is required during the early stages of getting acquainted with this DC! :),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,So far, very pleased with this purchase, with it meeting all of my hopes and expectations. The easy to install DM5 software also permits an in-depth, detailed, visual record of each dive...useful for debriefing dives and tracking performance.

Perfect for a relative newbie with air integration
5 May 2019

I am a relatively new diver. I have been diving for a couple of years now, but i knew i wanted to pursue it; so I purchased the Vyper Novo with the transmitter.,,,,,,,,,,Thus far it has performed flawlessly, unlike my diving performance.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I would have loved a vibration alarm, and a color display, which might make it easier to tease out warnings. The audible alarm is useless to me, since I really could not hear it. Vibration alarm would be super great.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Suunto's software seems to be improving quickly. I use the Spartan Sport Wrist HR, so I am kind of a Suunto fan. I wish the transmitters were interchangeable, for when i want to upgrade....cmon Suunto!

Suunto Vyper Novo Dive Computer without Transmitter / Graphite
13 February 2021

Super easy to use with enough functions in my view for anyone but a tech diver. My last computer was a solution Nitrox, so this is a doddle by comparison! The additional advantage is that Suunto is so popular with the instructors that help is usually on hand if you need help.My only gripes are that I think the USB lead should be part of the package rather than extra and DM5 doesn’t work on an iPad.

Suunto Vyper Novo Dive Computer without Transmitter / Graphite
29 July 2021

I'd usually support my local dive shop, but they don't stock Suunto, so online I went. A quick Google search showed me that Mike's was by far the better price on offer. They had it in stock too and included free delivery. It arrived in a couple of days and I took it on a dive the following day. the Sunnto Vyper Novo was a direct replacement for my old Sunnto Vyper which I'd had for many years. This new one is a slimmer, slicker version of the old one, so perfect for what I need. The display is clear and crisp and the buttons even more logical than previous. So, a good deal, a great product and prompt free delivery. Hard to beat.

The Novo is a superb piece of kit

I purchased my Vyper Novo to replace my old Vytec DS due to a fault. Suunto custormer service was superb as usual. My old DS was well out of warranty and un-repairable yet Suunto still offered me a fantastic deal on this replacement.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I have now used my Vyper Novo on a few UK dives and also a full week of Redsea Liveaboard diving. I have found it an excellent product with the display being very clear (much clearer than my DS was), it also now has a fluorescent display as well as a backlight which is a massive plus. The addition of the compass is also another plus for this over the DS.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I have loved using this brilliant device. I did find it difficult to get to the Nitrox mix change at first esp. as I didn't have any manual ... MoreI purchased my Vyper Novo to replace my old Vytec DS due to a fault. Good computer but not great. Ok for the money but adding the transmitter adds up.It's my first dive computer and I don't find it particularly intuitive to use. Maybe they're all like this?Good, solid construction. This looks like it should last the course. Strap is waaay long. I would have liked it to come with the bungee included rather than having to cough up an extra £20 for some elastic bands. C'est la vie.Suunto DM5 software seems ok if a bit rudimentary.Service from Mike's was second to none, arrived in just a few days and was well packed to prevent any damage in transit.
