It is easy to use (though download the full manual from the Suunto website to unlock it's full potential), feels solid and well made, the lime colour is great underwater and it's such a popular brand that there is usually someone who can help you if needed. The buttons are a little hard to press (though not a major issues even in 1.5mm gloves) but there is a nice little boot you can buy if you are struggling. The USB cable costs extra which is annoying, but it is still a five star product.

Last time I dived we had tables on laminated cards so I wasn’t really sure how to select or even use a dive computer.Although I’m reasonably tech-savvy I didn’t want to over -complicate things or spend a fortune on something with features I would never use.Happily the Zoop Novo was a perfect choice. Super easy to set up using the basic instructions, runs in an auto mode if you want and has a simple, big display with everything you really need. The buttons are easy to access although I haven’t tried it with gloves yet.Very happy with the choice and service.

Overall I am very happy with the product!It's a good size so even in deep murkey water it is pretty easy to read with a very clear display. Bright lime colour means it is very visible (which is great! makes you easy to spot by your buddy).My only slight issue is that the strap is a little long for me when in a semi-dry it loops around and covers part of the screen (I have quite small arms so probably not such a big deal for others? - also not such a problem when in a thicker dry-suit. Took a little while for me to work out how to use it as only instructions included are a little 'quick set up' guide.Overall a happy customer would recomend!

I love this computer! It's really simple and intuitive and I love the blue color, it looks great in person. It's a good computer for beginners to use and figure out, while also having some more advanced features should one wish to use them. The only reason I'm rating it down one star is because the buttons are very hard to push--my fingertips are actually sore by the time I am done setting it. I guess this is good so that a button doesn't accidently get pushed in while you are underwater and messes up your settings, but it's a literal pain to push them and set it in the first place. Once that is done, however, you are good to go!

The computers depth readings match both the depth gauge on my console as well as the readings that other divers report with both their computers and console gauges. The numbers are large and easy to read. I like the automatic dive start setting when you get the gauge wet and go below about 4-5 feet. The planning mode is easy to use to determine no decompression bottom time which is obviously adjusted for nitrogen saturation from prior dives. The watch also does a pre-check when you put it into dive mode to check for battery life. The time automatically initiates once you reach about 18 feet when ascending and starts the 3 minute countdown (only minutes are displayed - no seconds).I also like to be able to look at my prior dive on the dive computer and be able to see the dive profile and temperature at various depths. At first, it was annoying because I thought I had to use buttons to step through the profile but then I figured out (accidentally) that holding the button down would initiate an automatic sweep through of the profile. Nice if you want to watch temperature or depth at various points although it does sweep through the profile pretty rapidly.The watch also provide the time and notes surface time after a dive if you've planned a specific interval on a multi-dive outing.The dive computer lets you download the dive information into the Suunto DM5 software. The information includes a depth profile (depth versus time), temperature profile, and nitrogen saturation. This shows up in a nice graph for each dive. The software also allows you to input notes for every dive and create "tags" that you use to document dives (e.g., night dive, specific dive sights, type of equipment used, etc.) and then you could sort your dives by these tags. There are specific fields already set up to indicate things like weights used, weather, visibility, and boat name. There is also a text field to log dive information. The dive profile also shows icons for specific things like exceeding the ascent rate and dive start (probably more but those are the only one's I've encountered so far).Complaints - the manual could be better. The manual never indicates how to connect the cable which downloads the dive to the Suunto dive software (DM5). For those of you who are struggling with this, there is a very small red dot on the connector that goes into the dive computer. You position this upward (toward the dive computer face), push the connector into the computer, and twist clockwise about a quarter turn. You should have the DM5 software already up and running and the dives will automatically upload into the software. The only other sore point here is the cost of the cable - $80. It appears that Suunto keeps the price of the dive computer competitive with the competition and then makes up margin on the cable.One other thing that could be better is the ascent rate indicator. It is on the very right edge of the computer and somewhat hard (at least for me) to see. I can't really effectively use it so just watch the depth changes as I ascend to control ascent rate. I have gotten a few warnings (beeps and notes on the DM5 software profile) on too rapid ascent.There are other features that I haven't used yet such as different air mixtures and altitude adjustments.For the price and features, I believe this is a great value. I would buy this dive computer again.
I’ve used the Zoop Novo for over 110 dives now. Very easy to use and has all needed info on one easily read screen. Easy to adjust nitrox %. Been thru couple protective screens, easily broken when rough and arm slams ladder, but I’ve been more careful lately and current screen lasting longer. Put on rubber cover which makes buttons more difficult but when setting I just move rubber out of the way. Hearing alarms isn’t easy, but unless you’re using air integrated with alarm right next to ear you’ll never hear any wrist mounted computer anyway. Very, very good for the money. Does everything I need. Really, really like the Zoop Novo.
I just got back from a dive trip where I put 10 dives on this computer. I have the cable, boot, and bungie attachment. The information you can access on the computer without the cable is seriously impressive. With the cable its even better and you can track all your dives on a phone app or online at movescount.com. The only complaint I really have about this dive computer is that the buttons are hard to press...That being said, the boot is the best thing since sliced bread. It makes the buttons very easy to press and protects the computer with a nice soft rubber. I wouldn't recommend getting a Zoop Novo without it....The bungie I could do without...
It does not give the dive time whilst diving.I have only used it for one trip and the battery is already low.The straps are only held on by small silver bars. They won't last very long.To initiate the start up before a dive it takes ages to wake up.
I bought this because I had the original Zoop before. The new Zoop is larger, unfortunately, so it looks huge on my tiny wrist - I also have the strap done up on the last hole. The Zoop Novo has four buttons instead of three, and the operation is more complicated than the old Zoop. It took some time to work out how to change the Nitrox %age, and I also saw others struggling with it on the dive boat - including my instructor! I have the hang of it now, but it is still a bit of 'trial and error' to find the %age again. Disappointed really, not as good as the old one, and the battery isn't as easy to change yourself. If I could have afforded it, would have gone for the Shearwater. Colour is good, easy to spot me on a dive, and also it would show up if dropped under water.
I really do not like this computer. It is exceptionally difficult to switch between Nitrox and Air. I have to review the YouTube video and consult my written notes every time. Plus it is hyper sensitive and locks you out of diving if you cut the safety stop by even 5 seconds (I took a second computer along test how sensitive it is. Ridiculous.) It is hard to use and I will replace it with a different manufacturer ASAP. Save your money.
