I own the SB-4000 as part of my main home theater and could not be happier. It was natural I would look to SVS for my second system. My second system is a 2.1 system intended to split time between my office in Pittsburgh and our second home in Florida as we "snow-bird". I have not used the Micro for a big special effects movie yet but I really can't see any chance for disappointment. Am I concerned because it does not hit below 20hz? Not one bit... what it does it does very well. If I needed sub-sonics for my second system I would have purchased another SVS model.To summarize, this thing is musical and will thrill you with impact. The size makes it transportable as well as contributing in a big way to the Wife Acceptance Factor. The combo of my Audioengine 5+ Wireless speakers and my new 3000 Micro meet all of my needs. I suspected I was "missing" quite a bit by NOT having a sub (running KEF LS50 wireless, version 1), but wow! I spent a day fiddling with the SVS app, and the KEF app. And for my purposes, the KEF app was a better match. That said, what a GREAT sub. It's fast, works perfectly with the KEF system, and it has the STRONGEST of spousal endorsements. Thank you! I had held off buying a sub, because too many are TOO HEAVY for this aspiring "little old lady." The SVS 3000 Micro was easy for me to set up (bad back in all!), and once I got the settings optimized, it disappeared. Now, I'm going to have to move things around a bit so I can get another SVS sub. Thanks!

And, the Wife Acceptance Factor is off the charts as she cannot even see the subs behind the chairs. The SVS specs are spot on. I can hear a 20 Hz tone at reduced volume, nothing below 20 and pretty much all usable sound from 23Hz on up to the 150 Hz crossover.And, although I am a bass-a-holic I am perfectly satisfied with the Micro 3000s. For example, my Home Theater room has 15 inch subs and provides 120 db sound with no distortion (only for show-off times) with sound that will compress your chest. The Micro 3000s run out of oomph above 100db, but since I only listen to music between 70 to 90 db, this is perfectly acceptable for me.

What an awesome micro sub. Is perfect for small to medium rooms or for a computer and has decent SPL for it's size. It clearly does not have anywhere near the SPL of my old Sunfire 10", this is obvious from the weight of the magnets on the motors but it does function exactly per specifications. I really like that the unit doesn't have any dials or knobs to wear out. Some folks noticed high frequency sounds coming from the integrated AMP, I heard no such noises.Especially nice is the ability to apply several overlapping EQ profiles via Bluetooth to accommodate for excess room response bass spikes.If I were to recommend changes to make it better, I'd recommend a couple more EQ profiles and maybe slightly larger drivers.

A week later, the Micro arrived and was super-easy to set up; I used SVS's SoundPath Wireless Adaptor. I replaced both, the stock power cable and USB cord with a shorter, high-quality after-market cables to minimize cord clutter behind the unit. The wireless transmitter/receiver connected immediately after being powered-up - zero fuss. I set speaker/subwoofer crossover values in my receiver and downloaded the SVS app on my phone. I pulled out my laptop and ran a couple of quick REW measurements, made a couple of minor adjustments and settled back to listen.One of my favorite bass audition tracks is Larry Coryell's Drums Nnn Bass -- all I can say is, Wow! What an improvement! Tight bass, great transients - pure joy to listen to. Equally impressive with movie soundtracks. No more boomy bass -- if you are looking for terrific bass performance in a small form factor, this is it. Great-looking, too.

(not the sub's fault)This is the 7th SVS sub I have purchased over the years, the first being a PC12-NSD. They are all still working like they did when new. I've also purchased about 8 other subs from different manufacturers, but this is about SVS. They are great at what they do and back their products!Anyways, 5-stars! I would definitely buy this sub again and would have no reservations in recommending it to anybody looking for a subwoofer with a smaller form factor.
I was using a Sunfire sub for my two channel HiFi, but wasn't satisfied with it. The addition of the 3000 Micro has really improved my stereo system's performance and has allowed my main speakers to "breathe" and preform better.I really enjoy the phone app to make changes to the Micro. It allows me to sit in my preferred listening position and make changes "on the fly" to the sub's settings. It doesn't get easier than that.Also, a quick thank you to Doug in customer / tech support. He's very smart and gave good recommendations to the concerns I had. I'm happy with the sub and the support I received from SVS.Paul W
I finally took the plunge and added an SVS sub to compliment my Ultra Bookshelf speakers. The combination is truly magical! Not only is the bottom end fully fleshed out but the highs seem to sparkle more and the already detailed presentation seems to have even more air and ambience. Set-up and placement were straightforward and simple. The sub perfectly compliments the bookshelf speakers in both tone and sound staging. I was on the fence between the 3000 Micro and SB-3000 and although I can’t say how the later would have sounded in my system I can say without reservation that the Micro meets and exceeds my expectations for performance. It also goes without saying that it looks gorgeous!
I've tried a few different subs in my untreated office and the 3000 Micro is the best balance between price, sound quality, and aesthetics. This thing looks great. MUCH better than the white SB series. On par with my REL Ti series.The small box makes it easier to position and integrate. The app really is the key though. In my non-ideal room, being able to address (not solve) some of the obvious modes is a huge advantage compared with competitors. I also like the idea of having presets. I did a lot of research when looking at replacing my subwoofer that as about 15 years old. I was impressed by the specs on the 3000 Micro but was a little skeptical on the output. The size of the subwoofer makes it easy to blend into the room so I figured I would try it. So far, it has worked very well and is not overpowering - i.e., it seems to blend in seamlessly so you cannot tell when it starts kicking in. Of course I stuck a DVD with an explosive scene (Super 8 train crash which has plenty of bass needed) and you can feel the action without pumping up the volume to unreasonable levels which is why I gave this subwoofer 5 stars. My only wish is that they make a family of "Micro" subwoofers with even larger woofers to choose from . . .
