Oh, and did I mention the styling of these speakers is great?Note: The only reason I bought a subwoofer that wasn't an SVS, is because BestBuy could not order the corresponding SVS subwoofer(I wanted the financing option the store offered).

I bought a Prime Wireless Powered Speaker System and have now had it a few weeks to wright a review.The original speaker connector cable plus the twenty foot extension speaker interconnect cable was enough to get me set up. When I first opened the box I discovered the twenty foot cable was not long enough between my speakers as I was running my cable under my floor through drilled access holes in my living room. I was able to join the two ends and make my interconnect cable be a desired thirty two feet in length. I then connected my PB1000 subwoofer to the sub out and had immediate satisfaction.I downloaded a app to allow you to have volume control from the couch or wherever you might be. So to fix this problem we downloaded PlayFi to one device.My concerns are these. Once you download a app to allow volume control from afar. You still have to walk over to the main unit to switch between Bluetooth, Optical cable or Aux input and to use the play button feature. I think a huge improvement on an already great product would be to add a remote. It would alleviate having to download the app and getting up to physically switch the input. I was a little disappointed it didn't already come with one at $699.I am a SVS customer for life. I already own Prime Satellites and as mentioned a PB1000. For the living space we have this set up is more than adequate for music and movie viewing. The beautiful Piano gloss finish is a nice look. The sound quality is amazing when listening to my music. I have very varied taste in music from Bach to Slayer to Dj Dara, but no matter what I play the PWPSS delivers in a very enjoyable manner. When I use these speakers for tv viewing, the vocals are clear and accurate. I was able to eliminate a bulky Yamaha receiver by pairing my PWPSS to my PB1000 and using an optical cable to connect to my tv.The cleaned up appearance of my new tv stand without a receiver and the quality of SVS delivering superb audio satisfaction I have to give this product Five Stars. The clean power and crisp highs of these speakers are really enjoyable. I brag on SVS whenever someone talks about home audio speakers, because I am a very satisfied SVS customer.

I bought a Prime Wireless Powered Speaker System and have now had it a few weeks to wright a review.The original speaker connector cable plus the twenty foot extension speaker interconnect cable was enough to get me set up. I originally had the app on my phone my girlfriend's phone and her tablet. All three connected to the PWPSS whenever one of us wanted the volume lowered or raised we just opened our app on our device and found it was not working. So to fix this problem we downloaded PlayFi to one device.My concerns are these. Once you download a app to allow volume control from afar. You still have to walk over to the main unit to switch between Bluetooth, Optical cable or Aux input and to use the play button feature. I think a huge improvement on an already great product would be to add a remote. It would alleviate having to download the app and getting up to physically switch the input. I was a little disappointed it didn't already come with one at $699.I am a SVS customer for life. I already own Prime Satellites and as mentioned a PB1000. For the living space we have this set up is more than adequate for music and movie viewing. The beautiful Piano gloss finish is a nice look. The sound quality is amazing when listening to my music. I have very varied taste in music from Bach to Slayer to Dj Dara, but no matter what I play the PWPSS delivers in a very enjoyable manner. When I use these speakers for tv viewing, the vocals are clear and accurate. I was able to eliminate a bulky Yamaha receiver by pairing my PWPSS to my PB1000 and using an optical cable to connect to my tv.The cleaned up appearance of my new tv stand without a receiver and the quality of SVS delivering superb audio satisfaction I have to give this product Five Stars. The clean power and crisp highs of these speakers are really enjoyable. I brag on SVS whenever someone talks about home audio speakers, because I am a very satisfied SVS customer.

I wasn’t able to pull the trigger on a system back then, but recently got the audio bug again and so decided to give the Prime Wireless 2.1 a try. I am glad I did – this system is perfect for the application I have it in. I currently have it set up in my home office, and everything I send to it sounds capital A Amazing! I listen to everything from Rock, classic rock, hip hop, alternative and classical. Even internet radio sounds better on this system. The space I have this system in is on the small side (7’x15’ with 8’ ceiling, and being at the desk I’m very close to the speakers), I did try it in a larger space and as expected, there isn’t enough in these speakers to get the impact in a medium to large room, but honestly that’s not was this system is designed for. For the larger room, I went ahead after my experience with the Prime Wireless and bought a pair of Ultra bookshelves, SoundBase and PB-2000. Will review these too, because this setup is awesome as well.The Prime Wireless 2.1 is perfect for a smaller stereo setup as the components are small, but good looking and sound super great in the right configuration. When I really need to feel the sound in my chest, I give up a little bit of imaging in exchange for room gain by sitting in my lazyboy at the back of the room. The SB-1000 is more than adequate for that. I would say personally I would not get system without the sub as I feel you loose way too much without it. And just so I’m not completely fanboy on this, I will mention, as a few other reviews have, that the PlayFi interface is by far the weakest part of the system. It is slow to change inputs and I really miss not having Apple Music as an option since I have more than one SVS system, I’m complacent in the Apple ecosystem and it would be nice to stream to multiple systems. But, Bluetooth direct connect works fine, and on balance I am so happy with the system that I can’t help but keep it at 5 starts.Last thing I will mention, even though this is regarding the Prime Wireless system, SVS did automatically credit me on the Ultras I bought when they went on sale over Labor Day. I didn’t even know they went on sale, SVS just sent me an email and automatically credited my account for the difference even thought I had bought them a few weeks prior. It’s that kind of thing that will make a customer for life!

While I’ve only had the speakers for a few days, very disappointed over all due to the lack of control over these speakers. I would say the quality of the build and the sound of these speakers is top notch, everything I’ve come to expect from SVS (I run SVS Ultra towers, center, bookshelf speakers, and dual PB-3000s in my HT - spectacular), but the inability to adequately control the speakers via the app, or with a supplied remote (which SVS doesn’t make) really limits your ability to control the speakers unless you’re sitting within arms reach. I often, depending on what I’m doing while listening to music, want / need to turn the audio down … nope, have to get up and do that, want to switch sources, nope, get up and do that, get a phone call while using the DTS Play Fi app, sorry, music stops and doesn’t restart when the call finishes, in fact, opening the PlayFi app and it’s reset to the main page like you were never listening to music in the first place … two thumbs down on this !@#$%’ing app. I also found the delay in response when adjusting the volume via the app just too slow, not to mention the “tiny’ little slider it uses. Other issues I’ve encountered with the app over the past few days is the intermittent lose of music, randomly for minutes at a time before it starts up again, or having the Play Fi app lock up and just show a spinning wheel of death, which I’m only able to clear by shutting down my phone and starting it back up … super frustrating. I run a gigabit service from the local ISP to my home, so wired connectivity is typically 850Mb/s up, and the WiFi signal throughout my home averages 300-500MB/s down and 35 - 50MB/s up, so I know the signal is good. Note: All of the app frustrations and lack of control and intermittent loss of music also applies to the wireless sound base I ordered at the same time. Why SVS didn’t’ develop there own control app is beyond me. I also own a few of the Bose Sound Touch speakers … they come with remotes for easy speaker control from across the room as well as a Bose designed app that is tailored to their product, while the SVS speakers sound better, Bose has it over SVS in the control department in every aspect. All that to say the DTS Play-Fi app ruins the user experience for what is otherwise a great product/s … still mulling over whether or not to send both the wireless speakers and the SoundBase back, this DTS Play-Fi app experience has just soured this whole experience.
Throughout my 74 years of listening to Music I have heard much! Technology of course has changed over and over from the crackling tube radio to the LPs, CDs and finally Bluetooth while I am sure I am bypassing a few! I ever felt Bluetooth was the answer and when I stumbled on the WiFi SVS speakers I jumped on the bandwagon. As they say, which applies so strongly here "Music to my Ears.." again. Precise, crisp, every note delivered uncompressed. There is no turning back! For their size, price, I could not ask for more. As a side note, don't judge them the first 5 minutes! Give them 30 to 40 hours to break in nicely...

Well, I have a pair of SVS Ultra Towers and a pair of SVS SB4000 subs in there. So, I'm a SVS veteran.When I was deciding on the new system to get, there was no doubt in my mind. It had to be SVS, and now that they are here and hooked up; they are amazing for this type of use. The integration of DTS PlayFi - Spotify into the built in amplifier on the left speaker is what really makes this shine for me. With 6 presets on Spotify, I don't even have to bother with my phone anymore. As it is, I just pause the Spotify and then the unit sits there with the wifi light blinking until next use. Thats probably ok, and I'm sure it draws minimal power; but just the same, I wish I could just turn it off.The other very slight downfall (only because of my use case), is that the interconnect wires between the two speakers is only 10 feet long and uses a special 4 lead connection. This is all most people would need, but my garage arena setup really needs a minimum of about 15 feet of wire length. I'll have to find out if this is available.Sound-wise, these babies are a knock off the the SVS sound I enjoy on my Ultra Towers. Sound perfect right out of the box and the included SB1000 Pro sub is perfectly matched.
Great build quality, surprisingly heavy speakers. My problem was just not enough bass, the treble is too bright. I'm sure adding a sub would make a big difference, but would it bring the treble down? There is no way to adjust the bass/treble thru the app either! Had to return them and went with with the Sono's ones. They don't get as loud as the SVS but sound very pure and plenty of bass, also I can adjust the treble and bass with the Sonos app. I just ordered the Sonos beam 2, already own the original beam and love that too.
I've only had these speakers hooked up for less than 24 hours, but felt it necessary to give an early review. My old set up was the Klipsch 2.1bt which sounded great, or so I thought. What an unbelievable difference in sound quality. In all fairness, the Klipsch were only $129 and did put out what I thought was good sound until I got these going. On there own they sounded great, but a powered subwoofer is recommended if you want full sound. My only major complaint is the play-fi app. I dealt with it with older polk products and hated it. That hatred still continues. After speaker with my advisor Nancy T., who by the way is amazing, helped me to get everything running through an alexa enabled speaker. Thanks to Svs, I now have them.These speakers totally F'n rock !!! I have them hooked up to an Alexa dot and I use them as part of my Alexa group. These speakers are amazingly clear, loud, and have some good bass. Adding a subwoofer takes them to the next level and in my opinion is a absolute must have addition to really make these bad boys sing !!!Setup was a bit difficult for me for a few minutes........then I put my manhood aside and did something wonderful, I read the directions.
