My question is has anyone found a really off smell, not sulfur but just foul more chemical on opening their bottle in the last few months. I called and they told me it was a reg smell and I said, no it was way off. I dont mind the sulfur smell much knowing it is suppose to be there. I opened each bottle. I bought 6 and gave 2 away, they tossed them I was told, but each bottle was the same batch number. I spoke with Mary at customer service and she said send them back they would look into it. My husband took one and spit it out immediately and made him feel ill. I sent 4 bottles back. I am just waiting to see how they handle my return. I generally enjoy Swanson brand everything and have consumed many of their products. This one however, was not nearly as effective for me as another brand's product with identical ingredients. It's still a mystery to me as to why that is. This one however, has hardly any smell, which I preferred because the other one I had was very stinky. I figured that was just the nature of how NAC is supposed to be. The shape and size of these capsules was also much easier to swallow. As with everything from this brand, I find the overall quality to be good, it just wasn't outperforming or performing the same as my other supplement.

SWANSON's product is good and cheap, which makes it viable in the long term and in adequate doses.There are three main ways in which this fabulous supplement works, one is as a highly effective LIVER PROTECTOR , at the same level as milk thistle root, the second, as a fabulous anti mucolytic agent (really great in phlegm, colds and abscess disorders.Also for these cases it is marketed in the form of effervescent tablets). And the last one, its ability to increase the levels of the antioxidant GLUTATION.These three actions, transform the humble NAC is a wonderful supplement.
