The device is working with my other devices with almost no issues based on my setup. This is due to some software bugs which Ubiquiti is working to fix. Based on the price compared to other big brands, this is a good switch.

This switch keeps crashing in our network and it seems other users have the same problem. See forum posts. The switch will become unresponsive to ping and the controller loses management connection. Meanwhile, network traffic across the switch stops until it is rebooted.Ubiquiti support took 20 days to reply to my request via email and have not been helpful at finding an answer since. The forum post has been ongoing for some users for two years! I wish I had found that bit of information before making the purchase.Aggregation Pro Locking & Restarting causing network outage for 10+min ' Ubiquiti Community
I really like the switch and to have the speed and manage the switch from one console. Used HP Procurve before this, Which is a really good switch but can't touch the price of these Unifi 10 GB switch.
Very cost effective networking hardware compared to bigger brand names.
I'll start out by saying I'm not a professional. I'm an enthusiast. So it's an understatement to say I didn't need this. I will never be able to max out the packets per sec or the line rate. So why buy it? First) I could use more than 8 ports on the standard Agg Switch. Second) I'm already invested in the Unifi ecosystem. So far my impressions are overwhelmingly positive. Head and fan noise are both are quite low in my setup. The casing stays cooler than the non-poe multigig copper swicth I have. However I did manually spool up the fans and have to say they're loud. So although normally noise with a device like this isn't a prime consideration just be aware if heat becomes a concern, noise will too. So although normally noise with a device like this isn't a prime consideration just be aware if heat becomes a concern, noise will too. I have mine in a room I use as an office and noise is minimal and I hardly ever notice. Power consumption is very reasonable with 8 sfps & sfp plus 1 dac installed. With a second non-poe switch and a router, the total load is about 80W.I can't offer any real comment about whether it meets the quoted specs as I simply do not have enough traffic to test it. But I've seen no comments on the web about it underperforming. If it does have a downside I'd point out what others have. 1st) that although the sfp cages give full telemetry on installed SFPs & DACs. But the SFP28 cages only show link status and connection speed. Others have speculated that perhaps this could be fixed with a firmware upgrade. 2nd) redundant power requires an eternal device and proprietary cabling. Seems to me to be a way to generate revenue as power supplies are cheap. Finishing on a positive the price per port is very reasonable. I'm happy with this switch and would buy again.
great price for an awesome product!
