I have this 24 port switch in a living space so quiet operation was a key requirement. And it is silent, no fan. Unfortunately, that ruled out using their POE version of this switch. For my POE needs, I added a Unifi 8 port POE switch which also has no fan and is silent.I have multiple Unifi switches that I manage. They are easy to install and configure.

This PoE switch is rugged and well built. The PoE power budget is ample for the number of ports.
First, this switch only makes sense in a Unifi setup. Unifi uses a controller (hardware, software, or cloud) to manage the system vs logging in to each component manage it. This is a good switch with lots of POE power (on all ports) but that means cooling fans. The fans aren't all that noisy but would be distracting sitting on your desk. Newer models are fan-less but with much less POE power.
Expensive but excellent quality. I purchased it because I am already invested in the Unifi ecosystem. If not I may have gone with something cheaper.
Just dont rely on the Ubiquiti community message boards if youre having configuration issues. Youre looked down upon if youre a novice.
A little to loud for me. It was in my office 5 feet from. I did buy cooling fans supposed to work with this unit but did not. I bought the 150w model with no issues with sound.
High quality and surprising throughput. Noticeably faster than the rackmount 24-port Gigabit Linksys unmanaged switch it replaced. QoS and high-speed silicon make network traffic really pop! Ubiquiti management server (CloudKey) is full-featured, but can be a bit tricky to do initial LAN setup - rock-solid once configured.
This switch was to complete my setup. I already had the USG, Cloud Key Gen2, and an 8 port POE Unifi switch. I needed a larger switch to run right off the USG. Works, easy setup. Great item
