Once I had the correct sized shoes (somehow I received a size 39 and a size 37 in the same box), I love these shoes. They are comfortable, wearable all day. I am a heel walker. I strike heavily on my heel and by the end of the day, my usual shoes are painful. These are not. I am able to walk on them for hours at a time. Purchased them in a taupe/stone color which coordinates with my often off-white summer wardrobe.

These have the best support of any shoe I own or have ever tried to wear. I have several issues in my left ankle... Post Tib Tendonitis, Tarsal Tunnel Impingement and Plantar Fac. This line of Taos shoes are the only shoes I can wear without pain. I wear them every day from the moment the weather is warm enough in the spring to the moment it isn't in the winter. My only complaint is they tend to wear out faster than I would like and they are expensive to replace. I wish Taos would make a casual closed toe athletic sneaker with this style arch support and an 10-14mm elevated heel hight like the typical running shoe. I have tried the sneakers they sell with their proprietary insole and the soles are way too flat for my ankle to handle. PLEASE TAOS, please do not stop ... MoreThese have the best support of any shoe I own or have ever tried to wear. I have several issues in my left ankle... I am seriously considering moving to a year round warm climate just to avoid having to wear something else in the winter.

Really comfortable sandals with flexible fitting for those of us with bunions and requiring a wider foot! Easy to put on and remove and they do not require wearing stockings- The leather is soft, of high quality and I have had no blisters or sore areas when I have gone without. They look smart and suit all outfits from jeans to evening formal wear. I have three pairs in a variety of colours which I have purchased over several years. I live in Queensland and they serve all my winter and summer needs! I have never found a better pair of shoes which are so comfortable and meet all my requirements. I can freely recommend these very flexible sandals!

I purchased the Stone (M width) as I wanted something a bit different from my other sandals in a neutral color. They're very cute, made well, good arch support, and allow for my right foot bunion (noticeable). My only complaint is that the back ankle strap hits lower than I would like. I prefer that the back strap hit higher.I wore them today, first time, and walked a distance on a concrete walk and while standing in a museum for 1+ hours. They're comfortable, but not as comfortable as some cloth Fidelio Hallux fabric wedge slides than I have. Also, perhaps a bit scratchy, but that I didn't mind. For sheer comfort, I'd go w/ the Fidelio Hallux (which I dressed up w/ a quality, leather clip-on flower), but Taos seems to be a good brand.
I love this sandal. I have over 20 pairs of Trulie sandals in my collection. Many different colors, and so comfortable. I started wearing them about seven years ago when I developed Plantar Fasciitis and needed to find a sandal that helped alleviate the pain. I have actually worn out my black, navy and stone colored Trulies twice now, and I'm wearing the third pair of each color. I wear them from early spring into late fall every year. They are wonderful.
I have collapsing arches and need a strong arch support. These sandals need no breaking in period. From the first 2 point adjustment, my feet were singing happy songs instead of the blues. I have worn them all day, while out shopping, and my feet are still happy. I bought my first Taos as a specialty shoe store, Lucky in caramel. I bought my Trulies in coral here. I bought another pair in cement. Love them all. The heel is a little higher than the footbed, so it’s similar to my Brooks lace ups. The cork sole softens each step. Pricey, but compared to the pain I get when wearing cheap, these are worth every dollar (here’s a secret, check out their sales page!).I also bought a slip on sneaker, but I will review that separately.
I have very picky feet with multiple issues, especially Plantar Fascial Fibromatosis and bunions. I’ve worn or tried many comfort sandals. I didn’t think these looked comfortable but tried them on because I thought they were cute and liked the neutral color. Then I bought them and haven’t looked back. They have replaced all my others (Teva, Dansko, Vionic and more) as my favorite and most comfortable sandals. They fit well, the footbed and straps are comfortable, and I’ve had no issues with the Velcro. I only marked it down 1 star because of their price. (Sorry for the bad photos, I was actually taking a picture of the linen pants:)
The braided leather straps are rough and prickly. They irritate my feet all the time, and they cause blisters of I wear them for much of any walking at all.The color faded noticeable within the first summer. And the footbed is not all that comfortable.Other than that they're adequate 😕These were a splurge for me at $175; I'm beyond disappointed.
Bought a pair of Taos tennis shoes that were the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. Decided to try these sandals and they exceeded my expectations. You can adjust them to your particular foot width. Their construction, cushioning, arch, etc., are superior. My go to sandal! If you're going to be on your feet for long period of time; invest in a pair of these sandals.
The Taos sandals made in Spain are very high quality….leather strap linings and suede footbeds. The cork footbeds work wonders for my plantar fasciitis issues. The quality is above the current standards for most shoes currently available. For a slightly higher heel, Trulie is a great choice. Luckie is a wonderful lower heeled sandal.
