We use Tapo Smart Plugs all over the house, we find as we get older our movement is becoming more of a problem reaching hard to get to sockets so these plugs are brilliant. Set up is easy via the Tapo App, which you will need to download (Google or Apple Apps Stores) to get plug up and running. Turn on plugs when you not home, as long as your home WIFI is operational you can access via the net operate any of your plugs. These plugs are great for security purposes.This version of the Tapo Plug is the TP100 which does not come with energy monitoring capabilities, which is fine for our use generally. We do however also use the Tapo110 which does have this capability built in, so check out that model if you want that available, not much differnce in price.Also you can link your plug to Amazon Alexa Google Home for even easier control of devices, again plenty of help videos available to show you how to link them up. Would highly recommend this plug other Tapo plugs.😁👌👍

Great product at Toolstations fantastic pricing !

Brilliant, installed on a water feature. At the moment it turns on and off by using schedules but also has the ability to be over-ridden, all controlled using my mobile phone. I can even see how much energy the water feature is using and how much it is costing to run. At the Toolstation price I shall be buying more to automate the whole house. Happy days !The only slight niggle is that it only works with the TP-Link app. I have another make of wi-fi sockets and they only work on their own app. It wold be great if these thigs were universal and would all just work from one app. This is not just an issue with TP-Link, its all manufacturers.

I love these, way better than timer plugs. You can set, via the app, for lights that are plugged in to come on at a chosen time before sunset, so you don't do that horrid thing of going from dark to light. Also I have plugs attached to various lamps that come on gradually of an evening, so you are 'eased' in to night. You can of course, just switch on manually and override the timer. I use my iPhone and the app to control all my devices. Have a few now. It means I've been able to set up a shortcut and get Siri to turn on groups of lights via voice command. Handy when trying to do three things at once. I'm sorry I have no knowledge of Android phones/devices so please research if using them.
