There are many reasons to love Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. Easily covers redness, discoloration or blemishes. Once you get used to how pigmented it is, it is a dream to use on your face. Creamy concealer blends easily giving medium to full coverage. However, dry skin types can struggle, so moisturize well before applying this concealer. Tarte Shape Tape dries pretty quickly and lasts almost all day. And it is this dryness that causes me problems with Tarte Shape Tape. As an under eye concealer, I just can't get this to work. I have tried several different ways to use this on my eye area and every time it dries out it sinks into fine lines and makes me look even more tired. I wouldn't even say that I have especially dry skin around my eyes and my eyelids are definitely oily. It's not just me that this is happening too, I've read quite a few reviews claiming the same thing is happening to them, even with women much younger than me. Another problem is that Tarte Shape Tape has fragrance and these ingredients are quite high. I have not had any problems, but if you are sensitive you can check the ingredients here. For me, Tarte Shape Tape is a brilliant concealer for the face, but it's not that easy to apply to the under-eye area, especially if your skin is dry. However, if you are fat or normal, this would work much better for you. If you have a dry under eye area, make sure it is thoroughly moisturized and this will help Tarte Shape Tape work better. Tarte Shape Tape is incredibly pigmented, easy to blend and doesn't budge once set. I just bought the Glossier Stretch concealer, which seems to be a much better concealer for the under eye area (especially if you have dry skin), I'll review it properly once I've used it a bit more.

The Shape Tape Glow Wand claims to help boost radiance and smooth the appearance of skin with micro-fine diamond pigment. It really actually works. I could definitely see it smoothed out my skin and it gave it this nice glow that made my skin look flawless. But if you're looking for coverage like I prefer, you can actually use this over shape tape concealer. I'm definitely going to try that. I have never tried the "highly raved about" concealer, actually I did receive a sample card and I hated it. However, I have learned that samples don't always do products justice because there isn't alot of product in them and the samples go bad quick. Were my foundation cannot cover, I will dab and blend this out to conceal spots. Works great. PRO: full coverage, long lasting, huge selection of colors. I 100% reccomend this concealer to anyone especially someone with oily skin but if you have dry or combination just hydrate the dry areas. This concealer is worth the money.

I stopped using it after going through two of these in the full size, because I had so many concealers I wanted to use up and eventually fell in love with a different brand of concealer. It covers very well, not 100% but I feel much more confident wearing this as a 34 year old mommy to a special needs kiddo, that it will hide most signs of aging and fatigue on my skin. It WILL exaggerate signs of aging if overused, as most concealers would. I use a very small amount compared to what I remember using back then. I also ordered the wrong shade - I meant to order 29N but accidentally ordered 22N, yet somehow it works for me. It brightens a little more under my eyes and highlights well. So as I may need to order 29N to conceal problem areas, I'd continue using the 22N shade to highlight and conceal my under eyes and eyelids, etc. I'm really happy I tried this out again. I've recently been using the L'Oréal 24hr foundation after wanting to get away from the more expensive foundations, and these two work beautifully together. I feel completely covered and look more put together when I wear a "full face" (which is really not a "full face" but my version of it). I'm sure most people have tried this by now but if you haven't, trying the mini version of this would be worth it.

Like the concealer; not a fan of the corrector

I have had this set for almost a month. And I have decided - I like the concealer but not the corrector. I have the concealer in a couple of shades...for spring and summer skin tones. The applicator is NOT a favorite. I like the sponge applicator instead. The thin 'finger glove' thingy is a waste of time and not worth the trouble. The color corrector? This is a NO. I am a 20-22 B color...I have also a 27B color for the places not near my eyes. The peach color, like most have reported is a bit too dark...pink would have been better. I have tried wearing it in all kinds of different ways...with a bit more moisturizer...with less...and today I tried putting the concealer on first and the corrector afterwards. It's not worth the hassle of the return and the price of $6.95 after paying $3.50 for s/h at the front; and I don't have the packaging anymore. If I were to do it again...I would NOT purchase this. I would get the concealer and purchase another corrector...something a bit more creamy and more pink. This is a miss for me. And I am sorry for this.

I will continue buying this and always compare concealers to this holy grail product, most of them do not measure up. The matte version of this concealer is a nice creamy-liquid formula that is quite hydrating when it first meets the skin, however once blended out and dried it showcases it's mattifying effects. The regular (matte) version of shape tape is truly a MATTE concealer and is perfect for oily, acne-prone skin. I run through this in the summer time and it comes with a hefty price. The applicator is super large for a concealer which makes it hard to control the amount of product used in one area and is overall unnecessarily large. I wish this concealer was more under-eye friendly, considering that's where most people use concealer on. Per my mom, this is not compatible with mature skin.
