I used this foundation to a family wedding I was going to. It was my first time using it and I was so nervous, but let me just say it was fantastic. I had to do my make up 8am and wedding started at 7pm, therefore it was the ultimate test if it would last all day and night. Let me just say, it passed with flying colours. Being a foundation hoarder, I’ve tried a lot of brands and different formula’s of foundation. I have been reviewing this product since a while. As Tarte’s Shape tape concealer is so amazing, I had in mind that this Face tape would be similar to it. Just when Tarte announced it’s precyber monday sale, I decided to buy it right away!! So I purchased this online and as soon as it came and I tried. I LOVED IT!!! It has amazingg coverage!!! Also since i have oil skin so It’s a perfect matte for me. Also, it covers all the age spots and dark circles and still feels light on the skin, brightening the texture. The sweet smell can be overwhelming for some but since I use it as a night time foundation and not for regular use so I enjoy it.

Everyone knows about the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer. I dont know of many in the beauty space who dont or haven’t owned it at one time or another. So when Tarte came out with the Shape Tape Foundation, the excitement could be felt in the air. I couldn’t wait to try it! Girl, all your sins are covered! This is one full coverage boss foundation!! The color range is good and I had no problems finding my correct color and undertone. This is a pretty foundation, but keep in mind that a little goes a long way. If you are more mature, I recommend only wearing a light layer or you could get creasing. I am self admitted foundation hoarder, and this one stays in the rotation. It is very nice, once you get a hang of the amount you should wear.

Acne causing sadly

First to all the people complaining about light shades...I'm glad this product has lighter shades. Not everyone is dark or bottled tan and there are a million products out there for you...lighter shade ppl need makeup just as much as the darker ones so I'm glad of the diversity. Anyway, I wanted to like this..needed something that didn't melt in the Florida heat after 30 mins. I felt this product stayed on decently considering, did not settle into pores or lines nearly as bad as others I've tried, I appreciated the coverage and over all I liked this. You do have to be quick to blend but that's ok. SAd part is after 4 uses my face is now riddled with large white heads and cystic type acne. All day wear for this oily girl

I waited over a year to write a review becuase i just wasnt too sure but ive tested it up and downand come to the conclusion that i really do love it! One pump covers my acne scarring and red hyperpigmentation. Im normal to oily but in the summer i am as oily as can be. I have put skincare, suncreen, cream, and powders on this foundation and it works with allll my products. Along with the foundation I like to use the ulta matte primer, laura mercier setting powder, and the urban decay all day waterproof setting spray for a long all day wear. I used this combo for an outdoor wedding in July when it was 80-90 degree weather, danced all night, and it did not budge. No need ANY retouch ups! Then it dries and ... the colour you spent matching to your skin tone is basically just oxidised white. And it looks terrible. I've tried to use it 4 different times now, with brush, beauty blender, finger, different primers - everything. It just doesn't work.Please Tarte, this needs to be fixed. Until then, will not buy again for sure. God this was a waste of money. And it ain't cheap.Also, Sephora squad members, please do be aware of this issue and wait for it to dry so your customers can see this. The only foundation I trust!

I love this foundation. I've been using it for a few years. I used to use Mac foundation until I found out they aren't cruelty free. The Mac formula was also a bit too dewy for my preference. I love Tarte face tape AND their concealer.This foundation has awesome coverage and helps cover my acne and red skin. I always have acne but this foundation isn't the cause of it. It tends to be hormonal/diet related. When my acne is really bad I double up with the Tarte concealer to really hide it away. These products have changed my life lowkey. I have really sensitive combo skin and it looks so good and feels light. It's also pretty matte without looking dry. The color stays true to when you first put it on (no oxidizing thank god) and the smells is subtle/sweet. It lasts me 6-12ish months depending on how much I use. The only thing I don't like is how it wears off a bit around my nose throughout the day and when I blow my nose or cry my nose gets red from rubbing it off and you can see tear streams down my face 🤣 but it doesn't claim to be waterproof so not a real issue!

its full coverage, long wearing (unless oily), transfer proof and matte finish as claimed.

It does oxidize and must be sheered out to minimize that effect. It is mattifying and seems to have an overly drying effect, making it uncomfortable to wear for those with dry skin. To make this work for me, I added a facial oil to it which seems to help in making it more comfortable and helped to sheer it out to reduce the oxidizing effect that will come with it. Or custom drops will work for this to. Regardless, extra moisturizer is necessary to wear this foundation. Overall, it has a heavy feel on my face and is a bit too much make up than I normally wear. This foundation is not for everyday use but I will pull it out for special occasions and events.

nice foundation

I was using the discontinued urban decay all nighter foundation for close to ten years& of course, found out that it was discontinued before I got a new bottle. So I was frantically searching for a new foundation to become my replacement staple. Love this foundation so much that I didn't even finish my bottle of all nighter foundation because this is even better. The shade match is nice for my fair skin and the neutral is definitely neutral. I always have such a hard time with shades pulling orange on me but oxidation doesn't happen. It does rub off some but I only use a powder to set & no skin prep so I imagine a more detailed skin prep would def resolve this issue. I absolutely love it. Will continue to purchase.
