It absorbs nicely into skin and doenst leave being a greasy feeling or stickiness behind. It gives you a dewy glow and makes your skin appear more plump. While this would be a great day cream, especially in the summer months, it’s just not moisturizing enough for me at night or the colder months. As for cons, while low on the ingredient list, it does contain fragrance and alcohol which might not be suitable for those with sensitive skin. I didn’t see any reduced appearance of pores in one jar and some sample packets. I would recommend this to those with oily or combination skin. Finally, I have found my true match

It has taken me so many years to find a moisturizer that works for my oily complexion. My skin is such that no “mattifying” product would ever truly make my skin matte all day. At best, shine will start poking through my makeup within a couple hours, and at worst my skin looks terribly cakey, especially if I use any setting powder. This moisturizer is not itself a mattifying product, BUT after I started using this moisturizer, somehow miraculously my skin doesn’t look cakey anymore if I use powder! Truly amazing. Goes to show me how “sticky” other moisturizers are, unlike this one. The product also smells and feels amazing on the skin when you put it on, with a very slight cooling sensation. Formula has changed

I've been using the Water Cream for years. I loved the lightweight formula. I applied it twice daily after washing my face. It easily glided onto my skin when I applied it and absorbed into my quickly making it a mess free application. My face felt hydrated and smooth afterwards without feeling weighed down with product. However, when I most recently re-purchased the Water Cream I immediately noticed that the consistently was different. The cream was no longer lightweight. It felt heavier and almost had a whipped texture to it. I really had to rub the product to work it into my skin, but eventually it felt like the smooth product so was used to so I chalked it up to me overthinking it. But because the cream felt so drastically different I looked into it and Tatcha has confirmed that they "had some very minor ingredient changes to the ingredient list to make it comply with international regulations." I am so disappointed that they changed the formula without putting anything in their product description or on their packaging in a way that i found noticeable. I won't be using this product again.

I was so excited to finally try this cream. I like how it applies, it is extremely lightweight and works well under sunscreen and makeup. However, this thing has given me the worst breakouts of my life! I do not have acne prone skin. At most, I'll get one hormonal pimple a month. After using this cream daily for 2 weeks, I have breakouts on my cheeks, forehead and chin. I started to notice breakouts day 2 of use. But I didn't think much of it. After one week I had a bunch of small pimples on my chin. I applied benxol peroxide and that helped. But then I developed 2 big pimples on my cheek and smaller breakouts on my forehead. Like other reviewers, I also had the issue with a giant air bubble which makes it look like there’s a dent in the product/product missing when you open it. But I will say that a little goes a long way with this one. While I respect skincare products that come with spatulas I find them tedious—I understand their purpose, but I don’t like the idea of having to wipe them down/clean them regularly before scooping out product. This product is very lightweight and glides across the skin like water. I wake up with glowing skin every morning. I just place a few dots of this around my face and neck and use my hands to smooth it all over my skin.
