I absolutely am in love with this cream! Originally I got this as a points reward to try out along with the matching cleanser. I’m usually very hesitant trying moisturizers because I never found one that worked for me. All of them felt oily, heavy and unpleasant smelly. This cream is very lightweight, hydrating with a very pleasant fresh scent. I have sensitive acne prone skin. I rarely come across products that don’t make my skin breakout. Not to mention my pores have gotten smaller after using the product overtime. It’s not immediate, you need to add it in a daily regime and be consistent to see the results. I would however not recommend this for dry skin. It is hydrating but so lightweight that it doesn’t give an intense deep hydration. I got a sample of this in my birthday gift at the end of 2023. It is way more hydrating and pore refining than I would've ever expected. I had extremely low expectations for a sample, but it certainly lived up to its hype and blew my mind. My skin has never been soft and smooth as it had had after using this stuff. Even with the high price tag, I would purchase a full size and likely will be soon. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and it did not cause any breakouts or redness for me. Very gentle hydration. Has a very small hint of fragrance. I hate fragrance typically, but it does not stick around at all and it doesn't bug me.

Fantastic Stars
29 August 2024

This is a wonderful texture - I've not used anything with this sort of texture before. It is a sort of lightweight gel texture but when you swipe your hands together it becomes 'watery' rather than 'sticky' and it a joy to apply. It feels very quenching on the skin and is absorbed really well. It also has a wonderful fresh scent which is not overpowering. It nourishes my combination skin and leaves it feeling moisturised all day. I think all skin types would enjoy this cream, perhaps with very dry skin needing slightly more moisture? It is an expensive product but I would buy again if at a decent saving. One pot is lasting me a very long time too, so it's worth it in my opinion. A joy to use.

Light but powerful moisturiser
17 February 2024

This is my second purchase of the water cream and I'm not disappointed. I have used the purple cream too and both are the most luxurious and effective products. The Water Cream is great for my normal to combination skin and absorbs almost instantly. My face feels nice and plump afterwards. I have not noticed a diminishment of my pores especially around my nose and chin area, but find the Water cream keeps my skin hydrated but not over oily. I use this cream during the day but would use the purple one at night as it is quite heavy. The Water cream has a slight shimmer and light refreshing scent that isn't at all overpowering. Overall, 5 stars for the experience and feel of the cream.

Love it!
20 September 2024

If I could have given this a four and half stars I would have done that rather than five. I received a sample sachet of this product. I have used the purple dewy skin product from this brand even purchasing the full size I loved it that much! I had wanted to see what the difference was between the two and I still maintain the dewy is my favourite of the two. This comes a close second. I just find the dewy one to have a thicker consistency and more moisturising than the water cream. I would imagine the water cream would suit more oily skin. I would recommend though. Still a beautiful product!

Lovely light powder
1 September 2024

Perfect match with my new hourglass foundation. Only ordered the travel size as I like to try products for a while before buying full size. I will be buying the full size. This is extremely light- I was always a DW user- foundation, powder , concealer etc. after a visit tin SpeceNK I found out I had been wearing the wrong shade for like 10 years- wrong shade of powder and concealer! Now, I have the hourglass foundation I wanted to try the powder x I have combination skin so T zone gets oily around lunchtime- this powder needs a light top up then for me (although I have ordered a setting spray to see if that will help) - despite having to top up I will always repurchase- very happy with my new hourglass products and will be buying more when I can afford it. Not hydrating enough
31 August 2024

While I don't have particularly dry skin, I do need a hydrating moisturiser. I tried a sample of this but it wasn't for me. I didn't find it moisturised my skin enough and I felt I needed to use more than I would of my usual moisturiser. While it sank in nicely it just didn't leave my skin hydrated enough over the day and after a few hours my skin felt dry. Having said this, I'm now in my 40s and have noticed I need slightly richer moisturisers. So perhaps one more for my 20s and early 30s self, but not now! I do love Tatcha and enjoy using the silk cream and the rice wash, but this just didn't quite work well enough for me, particularly at this price point.

The best
30 December 2023

This is my most favourite cream from Tatcha and one of the most favourite in general. Unbeatable for summer, there is nothing so lightweight and so hydrating from my experience. And I mean, I have tried a lot already. Lightweight and hydrating and unbelievable refreshing and cooling. The consistency is totaly unique. When I apply it on my face it melts in contact with my skin, sort of butter, but nothing greasy like that in the same time. Amazing. And scent is just very decent, refreshing and light. I will refinitely purchase it again and totally it recommend mainly to people with oily skin.

Unexpected
9 September 2024

This took me by surprise. I was expecting a typical gel moisturiser that either turns into water and either disappears like there was nothing there or something that leaves a bit of a tacky finish and shine, which I really dislike.I got none of that! It was a gel/cream hybrid that felt very hydrating and even a bit nourishing. It felt very pleasant to use. It has a lovely scent, it really hydrated my skin - didn't dry it out and yet it did control the oil production, as promised. My skin looked lovely with a nice and subtle glow. But the thing I liked the most about it was the feeling of hydration that lasted all day. I will definitely buy this again!
