AWESOME CLUB!! Durability Questionable?

To whoever is thinking about buying this, I would have to say go for it. I personally purchased the 2 rescue configuration with the stock tensei shaft. Mind you I'm not the best golfer out there, but I was surprised with the forgiveness of this club. I've watched all the famous youtubers say that this is club is for the low handicappers out there, but I beg to differ. This club was mainly used off the tee and I was getting about 240-260. Very pleased with the product's performance however the biggest issue with this club is the build quality. I've had mine for a bout two months and played maybe 10 rounds, I noticed that right away the paint of the face was chipping and the bottom of the club is super scratched up. I've had previous hybrids from tm before and I have to say quality wise it's lacking, the sim hybrid I had last year looks mint and the face has barely any noticeable scratches. I probably used that upwards to 40 rounds. Anyways that aside great products. Tools not Jewels right?

Excellent, multi-purpose hybrid

Looks and feels good over the ball, able to move the ball in either direction, and the face is hot. Able to play shots around the green, keep the ball low to evade fir branches and hit it both high and low off the tee. Solid addition to the bag.

Great hybrid. I had a SIM2 Max 3H that I was always putting on the left side of the fairway (right handed). I traded for the non-Max 2H and have been very pleased thus far. The distance is very similar for me despite being 2 degrees stronger. Fills the gap between my 3W and lowest lofted iron (~20 degrees) very nicely and, for me at least, has more utility than a 5W.

Great club. Bad Paint
9 December 2022

I love this Hybrid. I have the 3H and this thing is hot! But after every hit you can see the scratches on the club face. Seems like they used cheap black paint. Not a big deal but for a club costing this much you’d think that wouldn’t be an issue. Also the sound isn’t great but doesn’t matter when the ball flies lol.

If you only use one club . . .
8 March 2022

This club is unbelievable. A horrible mis-hit with this is better than most of my well-hit shots. I use this instead of long irons or fairway woods and I wish there were a version of this club that I could use instead of the rest of my irons. And my driver. And putter. It's a miracle-worker.

Love the adjustability
10 June 2021

I got two of these Sim2 Rescue’s and the adjustable hosel has allowed me to fine tune my gaps which is what I needed. Plus allows me to make the lie angle more upright to match everything else in my bag. Love the design and the all black head design. Love how compact it is. It feels very different at impact compared to the Sim Max Rescue from last year. The face actually doesn’t feel as hot but the ball jumps off the face just as much if not more, it just feels more muted in your hands. I don’t mind it, it’s just different. I give these clubs 5 stars. I needed the flexibility in the hosel in my hybrids so this was perfect for me.

Quality Issue
20 June 2021

Finally got my customer order Sim2 Rescue through the PGA Tour SS and shipped from Taylormade Friday afternoon and was excited to use it Saturday morning. Club came with some minimal paint chipping on the bottom which wasn't a big issue at first. First swing i took on wet grass and teed up stripped a good chunk of the paint away on the bottom of the club face. I understand wear and tear after multiple rounds, hitting off turf etc but one swing on wet grass is unacceptable considering it is supposed to have a sleek black look. Performance is great but paying this much for a club to lose its image after one round is disheartening.

Taylormade to the rescue
28 April 2023

I added both the 3i and 4i to my bag and have been quite pleased with the results. If you're looking to replace your longer irons with a hybrid this is a great choice. I was using a Nike Vapor Pro Rescue 3 and the SIM2 Rescue seems to be a bit more forgiving and have a little more pop.

excellent shape and feel
18 March 2021

This club looks and feels amazing at address. Was able to drop the 3 rescue down a degree and a half and was able to get 250 out of this club off the deck for an average to slower swing speed guy. Paired with the 80 gram tensei blue made it the best hybrid i’ve ever hit. This shaft provides incredible workability and feel over the ventus for myself. Was debating between this and the 790 udi but after hitting this club it honestly feels like a forged driving iron in a unique players style and shape. Get out and hit this club and shaft if you’re looking for another great option off the tee or deck.

hybrid hater, love at first strike
2 March 2021

Hate hybrids. Always hook them and have had way better luck with Driving irons. Gave them bad boy a swing for fun before i order my SIM UDI, and so glad I did. the forged face is so hot. It is so easy to hit from many lies. Brought it with to AZ for tournaments thinking I wouldn't use it, I think I hit this club more than any other off the tee that weekend. The profile, look, feel, playability are all A+. Might be Taylormade's best club of 2021 and that's saying a lot considering the rest are unreal. This won't leave my bag for a long long time.
