Stealth DHY is an updated version of TaylorMade’s successful utility iron. With a slightly larger head and a wider sole, it’s a choice that offers more forgiveness than it’s sibling Stealth UDI. The centre of gravity is placed lower down in the head which makes it easier to get the ball up in the air and produce a more controlled ball flight. TaylorMade’s patented SpeedFoam technology has been refined to make the club more stable and also give a softer and better feel at impact. A suitable option for players looking for a utility iron that has good game-improvement properties.

This is the go-to club in my bag for tee shots when my driver isn't working well for me. The ball launches off the face of this club like a rocketship. Even mishits are fairly forgiving and give much better yardage than I was expecting.Bought my DHY with the Fujikara Ventus Blue w/ Velocore shaft. I could not be happier about this club in my bag.

I purchased the TaylorMade DHY 4 as a more usable option than a 4 iron. I did not get a chance to go to the driving range before I played a round of golf with it so I wasn't sure what to expect. After 3 rounds of golf I'm ready to say this is the straightest flying club in my bag, I wasn't expecting that. When hit properly the ball fly's mid trajectory and bores through the air but the pleasant part is that when fat or thin it still goes straight and gets good distance as well.

Got the 4 iron with same shaft I have on irons yet 10 grams lighter. Always struggled with height and solid contact with long irons, and this season struggled with 4 hybrid off the deck. And this reality brought me to this beaut. In 2 weeks this has become my favorite club in my bag for long par 5s and par 3s, and shorter par 4s off the tee. So forgiving off the toe and consistently hit it to expected carry distance on off center strikes in the fairway. Also love this out of the rough when I need to run something up the fairway. I’m a 7 index, use player irons, and was hesitant of the bulky look. Yet I’ve grown so much confidence in it bc of the wider sole.

I have had the Stealth DHY for couple weeks now and am happy with it. When you hit it correctly the ball will fly as advertised. If you hit the short grass of the tee it will roll and roll. I advise taking to driving range directly out of box and hitting 50 - 100 balls to get "your feel" for the club. Also, do your research. The UDI may be better for you (after researching both clubs I believed the DHY was a better fit for me strictly for the forgiveness factor). The sound it makes (SNAP!) when you hit cleanly is contagious!NOTE: I purchased the Stealth DHY 2 Iron
Received new club with a chip in the adila shaft. I did not notice it until my first round playing. Disappointed I received a chipped shaft due to the cost of the club and how it passed quality inspection, but not going to bother with customer service hassle since it looks like paint coating defect and wont affect club. Club felt pretty good on the 1st go, need to get more practice in to update review further.
Fun interesting club I bought as a bit of an experiment. This club did not live up to expectations. I have a bladed driving iron from a brand I wont mention and it is much easier to hit than this. This club needs to you hit it dead center as best as your are going to hit a ball to deliver and consistency. When you do catch it perfectly it performs exactly as advertised. The only problem is I am not on the PGA tour and you need that type of consistency to make this club usable. Traded it in for pennies on the dollar overall one of my worst purchases from my favorite golf company taylormade. You guys have shown me over the years that you are better than this and I am quite dissappointed.
I got the 5 and 4 DHY irons. I matched them to my SIM2 Max irons with KBS Max 85 shafts, which are 1/2" longer. So far the shots are straight and long, although the swing tempo is different. I am replacing my 4 and 5 SIM2 Max Hybrids in my bag for now, but I probably will go back and forth. With the wisdom of hindsight, I could have gone with the graphite shafts, although they would have been somewhat different from the shafts I have in my SIM2 hybrids. So far, I am satisfied with my purchase.
Great club. Easy to hit. Definitely more pop than my 4 iron. Helps close the gap to my fairway wood and provides a pseudo rescue club. Good weapon to add to the bag.Only complaint is it did not come with a cover so that was a little disappointing because it appears the GAPR came with a cover. I definitely want a cover for it so it further protects from clanking against my driver shaft.
I've been playing with this club in the bag for about 8 months now. It absolutely rips, no other way to put it. One of my most consistent clubs in the bag, and when driver isn't working, I grab this thing. When you make solid contact it's astonishingly long and feels effortless. The forgiveness is there too. I've been saved on many bad swings by this thing. There really isn't much more to say about it. its a great club.
I got the stealth irons up to 5, but bought this club as a trick club.On the driving range i can stripe it 190-200 of a baby tee. Easy hit, great feel.On the course i teed off a 200yd par 3 and almost got on the green.I was able to hit it on the fairway, easily. The best shot was a par 4 where i went into the trees. Found the ball, needed a low shot under the trees. Took a 66% shot and hit it low and got to 5 yrds off the green. I kissed the club after that shot.
