Purchased as a Christmas present for my partner from David Jones. Bought this as a Christmas present for my partner. It is impossible to straighten any creases and the board is so tiny that it only fits half of his shirt. I thought it would work better for frills or something that is hard to iron. Tried on my daughter's outfit with frills and did not work at all. Contacted DJ to return item and have been waiting for more than a month and still no response. So we have this steamer just sitting in the corner waiting to be returned. Would recommend investing in a proper iron and ironing board instead.

I read a lot of reviews to choose a steamer and this had the best reviews so I purchased. It is good at what it is supposed to do, easy to use and lightweight. Downside for me, the hanging board is not big enough for steaming most things, it really is just a supplement to an iron, for items that aren't quite ready to be washed but just need a refresh. I wish I had purchased the steam iron instead.

Also burns you quickly as you fuss trying to hold garment tight to aid getting creases out The ironing board accessory only suited to approx a size 12 it less pant or top. Ive tolerated this appliance too long. Ive read trying to learn , is it me or appliance. I wish I read reviews before purchase. Don't buy this.

I purchased the Tefal garment steamer solely for the purpose of ironing out window treatments and bed linen and found I am using it for so much more (dresses, blouses, jackets). It heaps up extremely quickly, has three different steam output settings and comes with useful accessories. If I had to name a negative, I find is that the water storage isn't a lot, I think this is due to the product being a hand held device, as it would make it much heavier to hold with a larger water capacity. All in all it is more than adequate for the purpose I purchased it for so I am very happy. I Love it!
The product is beautifully packed in a big box. The instructions are clear and all the relevant pieces were there. It has been my first time using a steamer but I’m happy, it is simple to operate, heats up super quick and works really well. I’m mainly using the steamer for jeans - and it has been absolutely perfect for this.
This is my first experience with a steamer. The steamer works great we have some very delicate dresses for a wedding coming up so we bought the steamer for them. However the hanging board came off hook first use and broke around edges. Does not have a secure enough concept for my liking. As it’s hung from a door and you can’t use it lying down.
This was the second garment steamer I’ve had after returning a Phillips garment steamer that required a whole of effort and time to steam one dress with average results. I was worried garment steamers were just not efficient products and a bit of a gimmick but tried my luck instead with this Tefal unit. So glad I did, it works amazingly well and so easily. 3 steam settings, a nice long cord, the two head attachments, a door hook and a hanging board with clips! The board and door hook are great simple additions to this product that help make all the difference, but nothing impressed me as much as running the steamer, for the first time ever, over some thick crumpled denim and and witnessing a trail of immediately smooth denim in it’s path. Could not be happier.
Small water tank but that is not a major issue. Good heat and capacity to work well on linen. Be patient as it takes a few trìes to find a technique, the brush works best. I used the board and hanger on a door..no issues. The board is not great for long shirts...too short. Linen shorts came up well using the hanger clips.
The garment steamer functions very well. It is not heavy and it is easy to work with. But the hanger hook is small and hard to find somewhere with the same size to hang. the appliance size is perfect for small spaces.
This has been a game changer. My husbands work pants with multiple pockets look brand new, my delicate dresses and work tops are so easy to steam rather than ironing. The whole family is converted (after accusing me of trying to reinvent the wheel initially). It does take practice so perseverance is key. Watch some you tube videos too! I may sell soon and upgrade to a stand up one with a bigger water container. Down side is a little spitting (more likely my fault from holding the wrong angle) and the water container needs changing frequently if using on many garments that require heavy steam. And Ive burnt my fingers a few times lol
