I feel that it wasn't what I expectedI cook regularly from scratch and was hoping this would be an energy saving gadget.What I find is from spag bolognaise to chips and fish it's never cooked as nice as in the oven. It's always cold and if continue to add time even on highest temp it's then overcooked. Feels like it needs finishing off in microwave.If I know what I know now I would not purchase again as the money spent on it is an expensive gadget I could have used the energy for cooking. I received this today, and while it seems to be a good product I’m struggling to find out how to use it.It comes with 5 different leaflets, why? Cooking instructions are via pictograms that I find somewhat opaque. Why not a single instruction booklet that first describes the parts, then what kinds of foods the basket and pan are used for. Then a description of the way it can be used. Instead of little pictures, why not say in words chips, or sausages, or whatever. There’s no information on how sausages and chips might be cooked together.The poor documentation really lets it down.

I got this on special offer but read the Whixh reviews before buying and am really happy with the purchase. It has a stirring option which I don't really need bit would be good for casseroles.I use it all the time now instead of heating a much larger space in an oven. It cooks beautifully, food is crisp and evey and stays moist inside.It's very easy to clean, no more baking things on tin foil and an added benefit is that parts can go in thr dishwasher.The only downsides are that it is a little noisy (as the review said it would be) and the central part for the stirring paddle can get in the way if you want to cook something large like a whole chicken or pizza.Over all in delighted with my purchase and use it much more than I thought I would.

This is a replacement for our original one which seems to have lasted forever. Disappointed that there wasn't a recipe book as such contained with the machine. I had to buy one. The chips cook well and I have cooked salmon in the accessory basket. It came out well but the skin of the fish stuck to the basket bottom (and this for my husband should have been the best bit). I'm going to try it next time using a little greaseproof paper underneath each fillet. Working my way through some of the recipes and pleased I replaced the old one with like for like.

After reading reviews on this product we went ahead with the purchase. It seems that your either love it or you definitely don't. We are unable to cook different items at the same time, like we did with the old airfryer where we layered items on racks to separate items. Having the middle of the airfryer taken up by the paddle makes putting in larger items impossible. The time taken to cook food eg sausages almost doubles in time. The recipe app is poor in my opinion and the controls over complicated. I've purchased other Tefal products since and are extremely happy with them I just made ... The new replacement actrifry is great, however I'm dissapointed at Tefal for now providing more technical assistance to fix my old actifry. It has a error 2, whick is a fan fault, but the fan works perfectly well for 30 seconds before the error message comes up. Tefal say that they will repair an out of guarantee actifry for 15 years at a reasonable cost, this is not correct as it's a fixed £68 charge, with a 3 month guarantee which is not 'reasonable' as our new actifry is only £99 with a 2 year guarantee. After numerous calls to Tefal and Servicecare Support Services Ltd. I was unable to get technical advice to fix the actifry error 2 problem, which only comes up after it runs fine for 30 seconds. Very dissapointed.

You can see the entire contents moving round in a single lump, only occasionally breaking up when something happens to hit the small knob near the handle. The design of the pan, which is higher in the middle and should stop stuff leaking underneath, is superior, as is the method of paddle attachment. The paddle shape is obviously inferior since it doesn't flip over the food when it rotates. It doesn't seem to run as hot as the previous version so stuff takes bit longer to cook. The timer system is overly complicated but works fine once you have worked out how to use it. The beeps that you hear when the timer ends are no where ... Our previous version had a simple timer and was much louder and easy to hear outside the room. The worst thing is that when it's not being used, the display backlight is on and the LED segments whizz around in some kind of standby routine. This lights up the kitchen at night. Seems like a waste of energy to me, and especially stupid these days. This would indicate the the power supply is fully active too, and thus more likely to be the part that dies first. The additional basket is a must-buy and we use it all the time. Still, when the last one broke we really missed it - we wouldn't be without an Actifry!
