Bought this 3 months ago, has always spit crap out that should have been collected in the special filter. But today it just exploded crap all over a top I was ironing. Definitely doesn’t do what it said on the box. It’s heavy too. Definitely not worth the money. Tefal was no help. So sending back for a refund.

I chose this iron because it had all the right credentials but what definitely made my decision was the fact it is manufactured in France and NOT China.I am fed up with the short life of Chinese manufactured products and how they end up in landfill far too quickly.Well done JL for selling European brands.PS the iron works like a dream.

Used for less than 4 hours when water and limescale started to pour from soleplate. Called John Lewis who in turn called Tefal, Tefal said as I live in a hard water area I should expect this. Not after 4 hours of use!DO not purchase if you live in a hard water area, I have lived here for 20 years and other manufacturers guarantee much longer use without such issues

After suffering with many cheap irons over the years, I decided to invest in a decent one with a long 3m lead. This iron is first class, uses tap water and has all the functionality required for all items. The steam setting is particularly good for shirts and creased items. The extra cost for this iron is well worth it and is highly recommended. John Lewis was the cheapest supplier too.
My old Tefal iron just broke, bought in 2003, and needed replacing. Chose this one as the old one from the same brand lasted so long. Used it a few times now and am really impressed with how nicely it handles and how quick the creases come out of linen and cotton wherewith the old one I had to go over it again and again. Really happy with the new addition.
Have had an older version of this anti calc Tefal and was really impressed. This one bought for son going into military training and required for uniform etc. Important it had long cable and large steam capacity - all more than adequate.The anti-calc has coped very well with the VERY hard water here in Dorset.Top tip - make sure to test the cut off feature. The iron should cut off after 8 minutes left on heel. The first iron we purchased had a fault that only came to light once the cut off had been triggered - it would not return to normal and was in a constant 'cut-off' mode.Of course - John Lewis sorted this out within 24 hours.
Day and night compared to our old iron. The only thing I would say is that there are water drops dropping as I iron, but this is expected as we are talking steam here. No hard water marks and no other issues whatsoever. I love ironing now lol
A very good steam iron especially with anti scale element which is very useful. A bit heavy but that what makes it iron well. Delivery was too long of nearly 10 days which in today’s world is ……..
This is a very good iron which I chose for two main reasons - it is anti-scale and the water level is visible. My reason for only giving it 4 stars is that it is uncomfortably heavy.
I am not at all the type of person who writes reviews, but this had to be done!I bought this iron after my 2 yr old Philips one developed a crack.This iron glides over every type of material seamlessly. I have cotton work shirts that I've avoided wearing for months because it was too much of a chore to use my old iron on them. I am amazed at how fast this iron did the job and removed stiff creases with minimal effort on my part. Also, it took half the time to iron my bed linen!The design in great as the cord tucks in to the base, making it easy to wrap around and store neatly.I am a very happy customer!
