Everywhere I researched for this product when you activate the SIM cad you an initial 20GB of data to use over 6 months. With the Officeworks deal it is only 1GB of data over 14 days. Offceworks also does not have on the website the prepaid SIM card deal. BEWARE MASSIVE RIP OFF.

I purchased this device with some reservations due to the reviews. Having now used it when travelling around QLD I no longer have any concerns. This modem/router is an excellent device that works very well. It's USB type C, it fast charges, the battery lasts, literally, all day, data usage is updated and displayed quickly, and it gets a better cellular signal than my expensive smart phone. Very impressed and happy with the performance and features.

The unit is great overall and does exactly what it's meant to do...however...the product description above states "The hotspot has 2 external antennas for greater coverage" but what it actually has is antenna ports with no antennas to go into them. Making that a rather useless feature and misleading as this was one of the features I specifically bought these units for!
This device provides speeds at best of 1.23 download / .5 upload. Basically it is useless.
I took this home to set up and the SIM card broke out of the casing and got stuck inside the device. I immediately returned to OfficeWorks, who refused to refund or exchange the product.
