I live in rural NSW and until now my only internet access has been by dial up, unless I took a 30km trip to the nearest tiny township that had WiFi access. Telstra has recently built a tower close enough that we now have access to Mobile Broadband. My brother bought me a Huawei E8372 modem and set it up for me. When I received it in the mail I plugged it in, and with a few clicks I was up and running. It couldn't have been easier. I am absolutely blown away with this brilliant little device. I have now moved into the 21st century.

Great little USB dongle, small in size. Can provide Wi-Fi connection to multiple devices when plugged into USB power source (car, home) or a direct connection plus Wi-Fi for other devices when plugged into a computer.Wi-Fi range isn't fantastic is it's such a small device, but as long as you're within a few metres it's sufficient.

Pros: Once setup and activated it was very good. My previous WIFI was a 3G and kept dropping off all the time. Now it is good to watch a movie or tv program from beginning to end. It is also faster when on Facebook, Youtube and surfing the net.Cons: I couldn't get it to activate at first and it was driving me mad so put it in a drawer for a few days then tried again. When I tried again it activate right away and when I checked it turned out to be my fault so not really a bad point. Can't think of one.

This is a great portable solution for internet on the go. Also a great solution as WiFi hotspot for the car using either the on-board USB port, or an adapter for the cigarette lighter. Outside of the car, it works when plugged into the laptop, a battery pack, or an AC adapter with USB. Set up was fairly easy, however, the administration page is in Spanish. Not sure if we can switch it to English. Nevertheless, I was pleased to finally find a USB hotspot that works on the 4G-LTE network in the US. Highly recommended for its compact design and its easy use.
Not overly priced considering the functionally. It is simply and just works well. Change the APN easily to yesinternet if using it on Optus network. It doesn't work on charger power only without the battery installed. WiFI works well in the house. It does run all day and night continuously without overheating. With a wifi repeater with ethernet sockets it supports a VOIP ATA I found. The down side is that the on/off button (3 seconds press) is too easy to access and so could be depressed unintentionally. Buy an unlocked one. With a Wifi Repeater fitted with ethernet port you don't need a 4g Gateway modem. 5/5 Stars +++++
This device is locked to the Telstra network. It can't be used outside the box with another carrier. As of 22/10/2019, Telstra charges the following:$80 for devices never activated or only active for six months or less$25 for devices activated for six months to 2 years.
I bought one of these today for $19 from Target. Unbelievable value for money. I already had a data SIM on a data share plan so I pulled out the pre-paid SIM and replaced it with my existing data SIM. Everything worked perfectly. Can’t believe it was on special for $19
This was bought as a backup should the permanent NBN connection fail (which it hasn't yet in four years). It integrates seamlessly with my Draytek Vigor 2120 router. And being small and portable, it came in very handy during my extended hospital stays, as it worked out much cheaper (a plug for Aldi) than using the hospital provided Wifi. The setup instructions are thorough, have to be followed very carefully though.
I use the modem with my laptop running MX Linux. If I plug in the modem AFTER the machine boots up, it behaves well. The internet plan I use is a data only plan from Aldimobile. I am delighted with its preformance here on the south coast ... where we have a tower a little over 1 Km away.
This small wingle unit is plug n play on a USB 2 for windows 10, with good speed on Vodafone. It comes as a wifi unit too, so you do not have to set up a modem on the computer for other users in the family. I used to carry a pocket wifi unit to do the same. It covers all the important Oz 3g and 4G/+ bands. I am hoping they are the same for Eu (CE badged so can use it there, will not be able to feed back on this site, check on Whirlpool forums after May 18) Setup is easy and reasonably secure wifi WPA PSK2 (via wifi or usb if a windows box, change admin password immediately and wifi password thereafter, not a great idea to turn wifi off as you can lose the ability to administer the wingle) No battery of course, you rely on the computer (or plug it in to usb charger) ... MoreThis small wingle unit is plug n play on a USB 2 for windows 10, with good speed on Vodafone. In practice seemed pretty quick via the usb on my win10 home usb 3.1C with adapter i7 machine. It also worked out of the box with my little MikroTik router (Yay!!!) and would likely be the same with the ASUS router family.
