Had this modem for 2 months now and is the best modem I have ever owned. I used to always have trouble with the wifi signal not reaching some rooms in the house and was getting 1-2 bars; after using this modem this is not the case as every room now has 4-5 out of the 5 bars which is incredible. Also im not sure if its just me but my internet speed has improved by 30-40%. Purchased mine outright from Telstra for $299 + 9.95 delivery and handling fee. Best purchase I have made in a long time. The design of it is sleek, modern and its fast, really fast. It has heaps of ports on the back and is compatible with ADSL, fibre and NBN, has 4 ethernet ports and can even connect 2 x Voice over ip connections if required. Happy to recommend this product.

This product has good speed, connects easily to printer and computer, but fails to show 'remaining data' only a short time of use. Also I discovered you can buy them a lot cheaper .

I can see my text messages and also which devices are connected with the modem. Touch screen make it enjoyable to use.
Fine for use when service is good, but as I am a traveler (in Australia), I was disappointed to find that it does not seem to have any way to connect it to my external aerial in poor service areas as my previous Netgear one does. Unfortunately for me I did not check this before purchase, I assumed it would have the connection points. Moral of the story, never assume. So there will be times when I cant not use it and will have to go back to my aging one with the expanding battery in those times. I can do this of course but swapping the sim card back and forth is a pain.
Needed a wi-fi connection and this seemed about right for my needs. True enough it works ok for what I want but I expected the battery to last a bit longer than it does before needing to charge it. I just leave it on charge (during the day) and it runs down to about 25% overnight. It's still fine for my needs. Oh yeah, it doesn't want to update itself even though it claims there's an update available. I haven't looked into that any further cause I just don't care. :-)
