Anytime my husband and I travel and sleep at hotels or airbnbs, we always bring our neck pillows to ensure we get the best sleep. When it comes time to replace my pillows again, I will definitely get another neck pillow from Temper pedic.

I had ordered this pillow online so I didn't have an opportunity to try it beforehand or I never would have bought it. The quality of the pillow itself is excellent, however I found the sizing of the pillow itself to be way too small (I'm only 5 foot 2 inches). The pillow is designed to have a large contour hump and a smaller contour hump on the opposite end. When laying on my back using the smaller contour, my head lays on top of the larger hump on the other side of the pillow and it is extremely uncomfortable. I mainly sleep on my side, but through the night while awake I am on sides and back. Any pain free sleep is important. My old pillow only just started to be soft and not work for me anymore. I purchased a new one the same with the feeling that I knew what I was getting. Unfortunately, I didn't realise I was still sleeping on the old pillow for a little while (new one on bed in the other room). So when I realised and started sleeping on new one it was out of the return date. I did contact tempur and had reply but my own fault for not sorting sooner. I have a small neck pillow I purchased from Tempurpedic about 15 years ago that I absolutely love but it is getting old so I decided to purchase another. I purchased a small neck pillow and it is nothing like the original. It does not conform much to your head/neck shape like my older one and is very firm. Very uncomfortable even after trying to use it for 3 weeks, I gave up. I asked my chiropractor if he sold different pillows than what was available to the public and he only has access to the same pillows and also noticed the difference and even thought Tempurpedic had sent him the wrong pillows because of the firmness. Lesson learned, when you find something you really like, purchase two! What I do love about it? Nothing.

For a neck support pillow, that actually affects the level of neck support. Side sleeping at first was a little hard on my neck but now with the softness is perfectly fine. My concern with side sleeping is that my head usually ends up on the neck support and over time my head weight might reduce the neck support density further. So far, the support is still okay, but I miss the initial neck support density while on my back. It's just not enough support for my size which is pretty average (5'6").I ended up getting a flat sheet of 1/2" foam and putting it under the small one. It's the best I can do but not perfect. I'm assuming the firmness change in the standard size is a result of a change in the foam recipe or something. Since they won't let you return anything that you've opened I now have a stack of 4 brand new pillows that don't work for me. I'd give anything to get one of the old ones. This company has seen me through many years of sleep and I'm so grateful, but I guess I'm just going to have to start adapting to the new version somehow.
