I'm using this cable with a Canon R5 and Lightroom. The cable works well and I definitely recommend it.Having said that, a few bits of advice.1. I had trouble with LR losing the connection. While not scientifically proven, I believe the problem is that the Canon EOS Utility fights with LR for the connection (even if the EOS Utility is only on in the system tray). In any event, it worked fine when I uninstalled the EOS Utility from the laptop I use for shoots.2. In retrospect I should have chosen the right angle attachment for the camera. I think the tether guard works better with the right angle attachment.3. If shooting on a tripod, the set up only works if shooting in landscape orientation.4. The right angle attachment doesn't work with a RRS L-bracket because the USB-C port on the camera is slightly off center. Accordingly, the right angle cable doesn't go through the proper opening in the L-bracket. While I bought the straight cable, I subsequently tried a right angle adapter which is when I realized the camera port was slightly off center.Hope these tips are helpful.

I needed a cable for connecting my EOS R to my laptop to use for online meetings. Not knowing what the connections were called, I used B&H's cable finder utility and had it pegged within minutes. The cable I received works perfectly and I also use it now for tethered shooting in Lightroom. The cable finders will always be my first stop when needing a new or replacement cable in the future.

The industry standard. Does exactly what it was designed to do. Very heavy duty. A bit pricey, given there are cheaper alternatives, but this is THE best for shooting tethered.Interestingly, the one with the right angle connector on one end was less expensive than the one with two straight ends, which makes no sense, but oh well.

Nicely made and nice and thick too. I have a Sony a7rii camera and needed a cable like this to tether my camera to my MacBook Air M2, works just fine but I read that this type of cable cannot charge devices, but to my surprise it does charge anything with a USB-C port. The cable is a little rigid , but still a great cable.
This cord started acting up 3 weeks after I bought it. Had to eat sixty dollars and go buy a replacement cable mid-shoot. For a cable of this price, it should really work better. Be better, Tether Tools.
Ive had previous TT cables and this one is industrial grade thickness. Its not very flexible and forgiving on the camera connection. I get lot of dropped connections during jobs. Find those images on the card whilst client waits is a headache of old and here it is again. Its such a problem Im going to search for an alternative. This thickness may work for studio or static situations but not a camera on the move. Even rotating horizontal to vertical . Any movement on the cable transmits up it to the camera connection due to its stiffness. The Tetherblock may help but I cant be screwing that on and off all the time especially since I already have RRS plates. Needs to be thinner, more flexible. The photo added you can see one bends and the other is stiff.
Works as intended for my Fuji XT3. Connecting from the XT3 to my M1 MacBook Pro. Carries power, control, and data. Was able to get it to work with Capture One. No such luck with Lightroom, unfortunately. The cable is too expensive for what this is. The cable should include a jerk-stopper. Would make the product feel more comprehensive.
The cable works as expected. I didn't expect it to charge the camera in addition to the data transfer. The 12ft length was too long for my purpose but the cable is supple enough to coil and keep out of the way.
Works well, good color, hard to say sometimes what makes Capture One Pro not tether so hard to review the cable bec. it's almost impossible to find where the source of the problem is. I'm guessing it's the software.
so this is well constructed, visibly colored, nice length..but i swear the USB standard is going to break me down psychologically.
