Disappointed in Teva

Nice sandal that fits very well. I love the closed toe design with the bungee strap/velcro combo. I liked them so much that I wore them almost daily. However, after using them almost daily within one year they literally fell apart. The stitching along the toe line came apart and finally the rubber sole came un-glues to the uppers. If you can live with the Teva Forebay Sandal disintegrating within one year of purchase then go for it.

It was with great regret that my original Teva Forebay sandals wore out. I thought it would be simple, just order a new pair online. And what a bitter disappointment they were. No longer comfortable as there was no longer a solid sole but one as soft as jelly. It had no resistance to twisting or bending. The arch support was no longer excellent. Further the upper section no longer had good leather, which has morphed from light brown (coffee) into grey! This is my opinion. Anaconda gave me a credit towards a much better Keen Arroyo 11.

Good, but for heel comfort

I've always been prone to blisters on my heels, but sandals are usually okay. These have a vertical strap at the heel, which caused damage after just 10 minutes of walking. A week later I'm still healing. Otherwise, these are nice. They are well made with a good tread.

Horrible shoe
7 June 2024

The inside of the sandal feels like sandpaper. The skin on the back of my ankle was peel due to the rubbing from the shoe. And even after putting a bandage on both back of the shoe where there was a mark from my blood and the area on ankle, I can feel the inside rubbing against my ankle. There is no padding whatsoever inside that it cuts in your feet.

Most comfortable footwear I’ve ever own…but
26 December 2022

I originally purchased Teva Forebay sandals around 12 months ago. I must say, right from the getgo, they’re are the most comfortable footwear I have ever owened. However after around 3-4 months they started ageing really rapidly. I returned them to Anaconda Mount Pleasant and they took photos and sent them to head office. They eventually replaced them about a month later, which was good. But alas my new pair have aged rapidly also in less than 6 months. I am very disappointed as they’re still so comfortable. I only really wear them on weekends and do minimal walks. They’re never in the rain and don’t wear them in the water. Definitely nothing close to what they’re marketed for. I’ve switched to Keen Newports today, so we’ll see how they hold up. Fingers crossed

Repeat TEVA Men's Sandals Buyer
20 February 2024

I`m a 3rd type TEVA Sandals buyer, in fact I almost live in my TEVA's. This model/style TEVA Forebay is simply the best. Previous models used has a velcro strap behind the heel that is not needed here. Great style, great sandal......simply love them.

Sandals received are not the ones pictured
25 April 2023

I am disappointed that I received sandals that are not pictured. The color is not the brown pictured but a grey that wants to be brown. Other websites have hinted that since there is no logo on the back that these are counterfeit TEVAS. It is probably not fake but a lower quality product at the same or higher price. TEVA did make a good shoe but I don't expect this pair to last.

Teva Forebay
31 January 2024

If you have a narrow foot then the Teva Forebay is a very comfortable shoe. While airflow and walking comfort (shock absorption, rolling-through) are excellent longevity of both sole and upper material could benefit from improvement. I wear these shoes almost every day of the year and they last me for about 15 months. With some repairs (glueing the sole back on) I've been able to get another five to six months out of a pair.

Teva's have truly slipped!
9 May 2024

I have bought Teva's for over 20 years - they were made in Vietnam & always worked well... Now, it is Cambodia? The Forebay's I bought last month fit well enough - but try walking in them!I ignored some buyers complaints that said they scuffed the back of their Heel so badly that they could not ware them...I put them on and within 500 meters they had caused a huge painful Blister to my right Heel; this, from a Sandal. Now, sadly, they sit within their box & I have wasted $115 - well, I was Warned! Readers - I then and went out and bought a pair of Keen's.W from Townsville.

I was under the impression that the sandals I was buying were new. Not like new or gently used. Or the way I received them wore the _out. Already returned and I didn't get anything for my wasted time waiting for them to show up. Plus there was no compensation for my fuel that it took to get there. That's not like cabelas or bass pro shop from what my grandpa had told me so I really don't know if I should give them a second chance. Definitely do not recommend.
