I decided to retire my Lowas after using them for about 7 years and get new ones. It was awkward for me to go any other direction than Lowas - so getting Teva hiking boots was a big step for me. Immediate reactions to trying them on: great arch support, comfy but stiff (which you do want), and incredibly lightweight. I was so beyond impressed! Broke them in on a 4 mile hike and zero hotspots or rubbing. my feet never felt overwhelming hot despite it being about 85 degrees out. I have since taken them on camping outings and small hikes getting ready for my upcoming 30 mile backpack trip. I have gotten nothing but compliments and they feel great. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Teva converted.

As a pro these are the BEST

I am an outdoor professional and i sell gear for a living... I try on and experiment with lots and lots of boots, and this pair are my all time favorite. I have owned Salomon's, Merrell's, Oboz, etc, etc. But as someone with wide feet these boots fit my foot better than any other boot on the market, but they still fit my friends with narrow feet. They feel super lightweight on foot, I have done a few fast paced hikes and they felt great, and I backpacked with a 40lb pack and they felt just as amazing. It is usually hard for me to find a boot that can do both. Mid height boot gives good ankle support without feeling restricted. These are my first recommendation to anyone coming into my store looking for a boot.

I hike a lot and walk 3 to 5 miles daily. These shoes are the bomb! I wear them as often as possible!!! They have plenty of room for large or layered socks. The internal padding is comfortable and supporting of your feet. The tread is perfect! Teva is one of the few brands with sandal and boot tread that DOES NOT slip on river rocks! This is a huge benefit of hiking boots because the ground in woods often has damp rock and tree roots that can be really slippery without proper shoes. They wear well when slipped on and left untied, which is nice for tent camping going in and out of the tent - you don't need to bring a second set of shoes as slip-ons and stay tied all day with a simple knot because of the unique lacing method! Comfortable, light and waterproof A+++
13 October 2023

This purchase was for my second pair of these Teva boots - I bought these so I would have a pair for when my current ones wear out as they are such good boots. I just got back from the Wainwright Coast to Coast walk and wore them for 16 days straight with no problems. They were light, comfortable and completely waterproof. We had pretty hot weather and my feet never became too hot, even when wearing a toe sock liner plus merino sock. No blisters, very comfortable boots in all terrains and conditions. When I first put them on I was worried that they felt snug because of the goretex lining, but once I wore them they didn’t feel tight at all, and I have a short and wide foot. DO NOT BUY - Not like the old Teva hiking boots
31 July 2024

I received these in April 2024. I was really excited since my old pair of tevas were so comfortable and lasted me more than 2 years of constant hiking until the tread was gone. This hiking boot had good ratings so I figured I’d give it a try. It is definitely more stiff and with less cushion which I figured would become more flexible and comfy as I wore them but the opposite happened. The first couple hikes they did okay and kept my feet dry but overtime gave me blisters on the back of my heels after almost every hike. Was hiking in WA state and the fabric portion above the rubber toe snagged on a tree root and completely ripped open. This caused dirt/water to get inside and was continuing to snag and trip while hiking. Super disappointing as I’ve only had these for ... MoreI received these in April 2024. Super disappointing as I’ve only had these for 3 months and they make me nervous to hike in terms of blisters and tripping. Can’t return them any longer so going to toss $100+ investment goodbye. Would recommend looking into another hiking boot brand. I’m going to try the Merrell Moab boots which I hope will perform much better.

Great Grip, but lose waterproofing fast
22 February 2024

I have a hard-to-fit, high-volume foot with a narrow heel (a width) and wider (c width) ball of my foot. These boots feel a little tight over the ball of the foot and slightly wide through the heel, but didn't rub, so I went with them. I love the vibram sole - it's held up carrying a 25-30 lb pack for 8-13 miles in the mountains over several trips this year. The boot has also stayed in good physical condition except it stopped being waterproof after only a few trips. Not just a little leak or in really wet weather - the whole boot gets soaked walking in 2-3 inch snow. While I know these aren't snow boots, I still expect that a waterproof boot should be able to handle mild snow or very shallow (2-inch deep) stream crossings or boggy trails. The lacing system also seems like it would lace up tightly and hug the heel, but it's difficult to get tight and keep tight. The round laces get loose and become undone several times over the course of a day even with double knots. This led to a very sloppy unsupported feeling. They may just not be the right boot for my foot, but if you're looking for waterproof boots, beware that these may not stay waterproof.

I would totally buy these boots again!
23 August 2024

I just wore these boots to climb a mountain and these boots kept my feet dry and comfortable. The wide toe box is my absolute favorite. I got zero blisters, but I was wearing wool socks. I recommend sizing up. In regular shoes I wear 7.5. Boots are normally size 8 but these I'm wearing a 8.5 for thick socks and room for my toes to move. I love that these wear more like tennis shoes rather than boots, but provides the sturdiness of a boot.

Im considering buying another pair in case they sell out
13 June 2024

I don't usually leave reviews but I've never had a comfier hiking shoe. I work for state and national parks so I'm on my feet all day long and these left me pleasantly surprised with how great they are. I read a review that the toe part was very big so I was almost turned away but I'm glad I didn't because I realized in past boots I've purchased they were uncomfortable cramming my toes together. The straps on the ankle I like as well because they feel very secure while the boot doesn't actually feel tight around your foot at all. I walk all day long and more than less I actually wear them on my day off too! Plus they're super cute.

Must have
19 September 2024

Bought these for hiking in the mountains in Georgia. After 7 days in a row of wearing them, I can honestly say they are the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever worn. The toe box is wide, which anyone who has ever worn hiking boots knows is essential to not have your toes pinched. The soles are cushy and I do not have any foot pain, when I do after wearing most shoes due to plantar fasciitis. I did not have any break-in period on these shoes. I wore them out of the box and no blisters or discomfort. I have worn them on rainy days over slippery rocks, on steep inclines and clay/dusty trails, in muddy pastures and long grass. These shoes performed well through it all. I have gotten so many complements and everyone always says "Oh, I didn't know Teva made hiking ... MoreBought these for hiking in the mountains in Georgia. They do run slightly small as I normally wear size 9 and ordered size 9.5 in these.

Overall very good hiking boots
22 October 2023

Got the green, love the coloring. Wider foot box is nice for hiking to allow swelling. I have narrow feet and I still like the way they look on me, have a sporty sneaker-like look. Very comfy, for shorter hikes. Unfortunately my feet get very sore on longer hikes. I would say by mile 6 I start to feel sore. I have high arches not sure if thats why. There doesn't seem to be much impact absorption. Soles are very grippy, I feel quite secure on downslopes. Ankle support not great due to the mid-level profile, my ankles roll a lot in these. Doesn't bother me. Main reason for 4 stars is the lack of support.
