I purchased these sandals based on the advertisement that they can be worn in the water. They fit well. Very comfortable. The color was lovely. They are great until you get your feet wet. Once I got my feet wet walking around water like shown in the pictures, my feet was sliding around the sandal. It became slippery and hazardous when I had to step up or down on anything. I had to dry my feet in order to get any grip on the sandal to prevent sliding. It was terrible. Wearing them dry, fantastic! Love them. Walking In a rocky stream, walking on a Sandy beach, your feet will slide around causing unsure footing.

I was looking for a good, comfortable pair of sandals for the summer and came across these. I absolutely LOVE them. After wearing them for a few weeks, the velcro on one of the sandals started pulling off. I filled out a simple request online to have them exchanged for a new pair and they were replaced (for free) that same week. These are lightweight, comfortable, great for the water, and I would recommend them to everyone! I had been wearing Chacos sandals for years and never liked how heavy they were or what the straps felt like when wet. I will absolutely never go back to them but can't say enough great things about these Tevas!

Once I got my feet wet walking around water like shown in the pictures, my feet was sliding around the sandal. It became slippery and hazardous when I had to step up or down on anything. I love, love, LOVE these sandals!! Teva has designed the perfect shoe for me and my body. I am curvy and have wide feet. It is really Important that I have comfortable walking sandals. With these sandals I walk in them all day and my legs and back never feel tired or hurt like they do when I'm wearing other shoes. If I could wear them for every occasion, I would. So I bought four colors/ the black, the lavender, the pink sand, and the tea blue. I even wore them in the water on a trip to Europe and they dried quickly like they'd never been wet. Thank you Teva!
This is my second pair of Hurricane Drifts. I (23/F) have hip/lower back/knee issues and bought my first pair in 2019 before a walk-heavy trip. They were the best choice: versatile, easy to clean, comfortable (literally like walking on clouds) and extremely durable. I just put them to rest this May (2022) after many walks, hikes, beach trips and summer camps had worn the sole down significantly (but not completely). I sent them to the Teva recycle program and got myself a new pair. Already wore them twice to float down the Nizao river in San Cristobal, DR. I tell people about them all the time because I just love them THAT much. Don't know what else to say to convince you to buy yourself a pair. You won't regret it. I sure didn't.
I waited until I took these on a weeklong vacation in Hawai'i to write this review.After a lot of research, I bought these specifically for being waterproof, comfortable for walking, and having a secure strap to keep them on my feet. Well, after paddle boarding, swimming, and standing on rocks in the ocean, in addition to walking at least 25 miles on various terrain in these, I can safely say that they check all of the boxes. They didn't soak up water like my flip-flops did, they dried quickly.I wasn't thrilled at first with the look of these because they look wide and are not very flattering if you're trying to make your feet look smaller. But as for function, they hit the mark.

Most sandals have very little or no arch support, aren't wide enough for my full foot to rest comfortably, and hurt my feet after a short while. These Teva sandals are the absolute best sandals I've ever had. I can wear them for hours without noticing them on my feet, which means my feet aren't in pain like they are with every other type of shoes. Have worn them out for just a few occasions, including hiking in a low river. They're comfortable, lightweight, easy to clean. However, they don't seem durable, and the sizing is odd. I'm a 7 and initially bought that size. They seemed massive on my feet, and a near-tripping hazard. I got a size 6 which fit better but are a tad too small lengthwise so my toes almost stick out too much. Half sizes would be a good change, I wish I could buy a 6.5. Also, after extended amount of time --2.5 hours-- hiking in the river a strap started to chafe my left foot, which was irritating. I'll continue wearing them until they fall apart but I don't know if I would wear them without socks to walk in water for a long time.

I tried my friend’s pair on; those were a slightly different type and I should’ve bought those as they were perfectly comfortable and easy to adjust. I sent them back straight away. I’ll buy the original pair my friend had; I only chose these because they were slightly cheaper. Ladies with wide feet - THESE ARE FOR YOU! I needed some good water shoes, and having not been super impressed with the classic Teva sandals in the past, I decided to give these a try. Holy smokes. Fit my wide feet perfectly (which is rare), comfortable, and so cute! I want to wear these all day. I initially bought them solely for outdoor activities, but these are definitely stylish enough to become an everyday shoe for me. I normally wear 9.5 but I sized up to a 10 and I'm glad I did. The pink color is gorgeous. If you're thinking about it, just do it!
