I never used to be able to wear strappy sandals because they would hurt and gove me blisters. Tevas are a whole other league of sandals though. I bought these maybe a year, almost 2 years ago? They are still in great shape. They get more comfortable over time, but they were also comfy right out of the box. No break-in time, and no blisters! I used to wear these in the summer when I was in MD. Now that I live in FL, this is my everyday shoe for everything - walks, hiking, errands, etc. they are also my favorite sandal to take when I'm visiting warm climates because I can walk in them all day and never get sore feet. I am tempted to get other colors, but I am trying to have some self control and wait until these out. But these fit perfectly.

In the past I have shunned away from Teva's because of the style. This year they seem to have stepped up their game with some cute additions to the classics. However, they fact still remains that the top interlocking plastic they use in all of their designs is actually really uncomfortable. If you ever walk on sand with these shoes you will get sand under where the triangle plastic piece hits your foot. And for those of you who know what happens when any debris gets in there... Yup. Blisters. Every time! They are nice for city walking due to the amount of rubber cushion on the sole. But, totally disappointed as I had blisters the entire time I was in Mexico.

I have very flat feet and chacos just don't work for me. My feet aren't "wide," but they aren't quite the normal width. When I got these, they are AMAZING. They don't make my feet hurt or my back hurt. However, after owning them and wearing them with normal use, the soles began to fall off and detach from the base. I have reattached with a special shoe adhesive as it is so rare I find comfortable shoes, but this was rather disappointing. Just be aware that the quality is a little lacking. I would recommend if someone had similar feet to me and the need for comfort, but with a buyer beware warning!

I had been contemplating between these Tevas and a pair of Chacos all summer long. I personally love the look and feel of these Tevas! There are so many colors and patterns to choose from not to mention they're super comfortable. I cannot wait to go adventuring in them; kayaking, floating the river, the beach, trails, etc. I've worn them out to run errands and I just love how they feel on my feet. Low maintenance, cute, functional footwear! I would highly recommend :) Ps. they are also true to size. I would suggest going with your normal size.
I really wish Teva had 1/2 sizes. The sandal is fairly comfortable, but my toes are right at the front edge of the sandal. I have purchased the next bigger size in Teva previously, but in that pair the sandal sticks out from my toes almost an inch, and I trip over the excess sometimes. The 1/2 size would likely be perfect. The straps are a little itchy, likely due to being made from recycled goods. The ring that holds the toe straps on one sandal tends to dig into my little toe while it is not an issue at all on the opposite sandal. The bumpiness of the footbed of the sandal becomes uncomfortable after walking around in them for a few hours.Teva used to make the most comfortable sandals ever and they were much higher quality than the last couple of pairs I have ... MoreI really wish Teva had 1/2 sizes. I have a pair of Teva that are probably 20-30 years old that I've been nursing along because they are still my most comfortable pair. It's sad that Teva has gone from making great sandals to offering a larger number of styles that aren't nearly as well made.
I wear my teva's often. I bought this pair because my past pair died. It was an original black pair. I wore it with pants, shorts, skirts and dresses. I wore it aorund home, running errands, on dates, to work. I wore them until, on a recent museum visit, the bottoms simply came off. I must have had them for 20 years or longer. This time I chose the black with stars and moons all glittery on them, because I'm retired and can wear glittery things all the time if I want. My only caveat is that the bottom feels a little rougher than my previous pair. I'm sure it will wear down, though.
Pros:- Very soft sole, gives enough cushioning for many hours walking on hard streets.- Cheap!- They look quite nice. Good selection in beautiful patterns and colours.Cons:- They get SO SLIPPERY when wet! Even on flat city streets (cobblestone) these have no traction at all if its raining. A stickier rubber on the outsole is needed!- Not very grippy on other terrains either, the cleats arent deep enough to provide traction on mud and other "off road" surfaces.- A little too narrow to allow natural toe spread. The sole itself is quite wide in front, but because of the way the straps are placed, they are narrower than they look.- Not zero-drop, for some strange reason the heel is elevated a little. Also has a raised arch, so they force your foot into a certain shape and does not allow foot muscles to work properly.Overall these are mostly for fashion/non-functional use, but as long as it stays dry they are surprisingly good for quite a few hours of walking on hard surfaces. Would recommend for people who want something pretty to wear on a warm, dry summers day in the city.
I bought these right before going on a sailing trip to the British Virgin Islands so I could bring just one pair of shoes, and this was an excellent choice!! I'm so happy I bought these in time. They were great for all occasions during the trip - running around on the boat deck; swimming to shore and walking/hiking the islands; wet dingy rides to shore for drinks and food; they looked cute in swim suits, dresses, shorts, everything. They didn't hurt at all and there was no "break in" period for me. They stayed secure on my feet and were easy to adjust. Great purchase and looking forward to wearing these on my next adventure!
I grew up in Florida with a pair of Tevas for kayaking and canoeing. They were great. All that was needed. I moved to NYC and had no need for them. I went to closed-toed Keens for rare water hikes and kayaking trips which were fine enough; once I started backpacking I got UL shoes with “xero drop” as camp shoes. I just never returned to Tevas for some reason. Wanted to try other things I guess. Until recently when I was so fed up with the uncomfortable and even dangerous camp shoes I had. Oh my gosh, I forgot how great Tevas are! Instant comfort! Instant. I recently took them on a camping/hiking trip to Colorado where I exhausted my body & feet and slipping them on was absolute heaven. Unlike my old camp shoes that actually hurt more. Oh my gosh, I forgot how great Tevas are! Instant comfort! Instant. I recently took them on a camping/hiking trip to Colorado where I exhausted my body & feet and slipping them on was absolute heaven. Unlike my old camp shoes that actually hurt more. The cushion, the comfort of the straps, being able to adjust the different parts of the straps independently, so many instant improvements. I also wore them for a .8 mile dirt/rocky nature trail to some boulders and they felt good and supportive w/decent traction. I didn’t have a problem with sand or pebbles getting stuck into them. Walking around town was such a breeze and just felt right. Also, the moon design is super cute. They’re a little bulkier and a couple ounces more than my old shoes, but for me it is completely worth it. The added comfort and reliability far outweighs (pun not intended) the added weight & dimensions. I am SO happy I made the switch after two decades of try other brands. My travel mate had to listen to me swoon over how comfortable they are throughout the entire trip.
I got these versatile sandals for both walking around in the city for casual errands, and to wear on hikes. They’re comfortable, endlessly adjustable, the straps don’t rub, they’re easy to clean… there are so many positive things to say. However, every single time I’ve worn them, after about 20 minutes of walking, they squeak with EVERY. SINGLE. STEP. Like a loud clown shoe! This probably is a result of the specific amount my feet sweat, combined with the texture of the footbed of the shoe. I’m really hoping that after a “breaking in” period, this effect will subside, but who knows!
