Broke on the FIRST DAY. Bought this to take a proctored test and I had to have a certain type of calculator. I sat down to do a practice set and get used to it. It broke after only being used to solve about 5 problems. I am so incredibly annoyed. And I already threw away the packaging because how can a calculator break that fast!?!?!? I have never been more annoyed in my life. What kind of garbage is this.

The TI-30XS MultiView is basic calculator lacking key features like integrals, drivatives, and matrices. It falls short compared to Casio FX-115ES scientific non-graphing calculator, which is more advanced and superior in functionality. Consider the Casio over TI-30XS MultiView.

I recently took an analytical chem class in which graphing calculators were banned, so I bought this. It has multiple data/calc analysis functions which were greatly beneficial to my course (tbh I don’t understand why only graphing calculators were banned because you could find all the same shortcuts in this calculator if you know how to use it; graphing was not necessary). Regardless, the price vs value of what this calculator provides is amazing! Definitely recommend if you have a need for a calculator with every commonly needed function besides graphing.

This was purchased for my daughter who is currently a high school student. It does every thing she needs it to do and then some. It does take a little time to figure out its unique key combinations, but that is the case for most calculators. It has a fairly large screen for a calculator of its class/type and you have the option of using several different display modes including Mathprint mode. It seems to be a great value for the money since it has the potential to serve my daughter in more advanced math studies and is a fraction of the price of calculators with comparable functions. It gives my son's $100+ TI calculator a run for its money. Very pleased with this purchase!
I am in my 40's going back to school for an Associates Degree. In high school I was horrible in math. I was one of those students who struggled with the formulas and could not see where I would use algebra and trigonometry in real life. I was apprehensive about college math since I did so terrible 25 years ago so I purchased this calculator to give me the necessary advantage to perform well. It did not work...no not the calculator, that performed beautifully. It performs many of the required functions and is very easy to use. My brain is what didn't work. I learned that even with an exception piece of computing wizardry, I still do not posses the brain power to do simple algebraic and trigonomic computations. I STILL suck at math and cannot figure out when I am ... MoreI am in my 40's going back to school for an Associates Degree. In high school I was horrible in math. I would rather shove paperclips under my finger nails or listen to ""Baby Shark"" on repeat for eternity than to take another math course but...THE CALCULATOR IS FANTASTIC. I highly recommend this purchase. I would sell you mine when I complete this course but I will be placing on the ground this wonderful instrument of the maths and smashing it to pieces with the hammer of Thor and then placing the shattered remains in my fire pit, dousing them with gasoline, and burning them all while dancing a happy dance and laughing maniacally. Seriously...screw math!
When I was in high school I bought the older version of this calculator just because I wanted a cute calculator (the older version came in pink) Well, now I’m 23 and set to graduate with my degree in meteorology this year, and I’m rebuying this calculator only due to the fact that my original one fell victim to a bad apartment flood I had last year. When I received my funds from renters insurance, I went straight to Walmart in a mission to replace my beloved calculator. I went to 2 different Walmart’s and both didn’t have the 30XS, so I settled for the TI-30X IIS. I was so disappointed to find that model didn’t have the features that I loved the 30XS for. This was exactly what my daughter requested for school, and it has worked great for her. She has used it many years and will continue using it for years to come. We did purchase an expensive graphing calculator for one of her classes, but she is not always permitted to use the graphing calculator, so it is handy for her to have her non-graphing calculator to use when only this type is permissable. Works great.
This is the suggested calculator for 7th grade pre-algebra (Minnesota school district). I liked that this model was available for a quick pick up at my local store. The price was right too. I didn’t love that the case just covers the buttons (it does not wrap around the whole top, as calculator cases did when I was in school).
The calculator is good.. still solid button pressing. All the snaps for the case are in workin order. Other then the battery being dead ( if you press more then 20 keys it blacked out an wont turn on again till you reset the system. ) These are built sturdy. -Thanks for your time-
Calculator didn't even work. Did a curbside pickup at the store. Put it in my backpack for college when I got home. 1st day of college, went to open it to use it for class, doesnt even turn on. Of course the store doesnt have anymore in stock and have to wait awhile for one to be shipped so going even more class days without the needed calculator. Embarrassing
