Yeah the game is as good as I remember, though there were a couple of times where the game would slow down though it didnt effect my experience with it. I played the Xbox 360 version when I was younger and the side missions where different in that version than the ones here. But other than that this is a solid 10/10

The Amazing Spider Man 2 game greatly improves from the first one. A better manhattan, realistic swinging, each boss fight has its unique way of defeating them (unlike the 1st one which was the same thing for all), more variety in crimes and a lot more suits. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 star rating its because the graphics are not what I expected. Even though I was playing it on PS4, it felt like I was playing an early PS3 game (Like SpiderMan 3 on PS3 which came out 7 years ago) plus there were some glitches that feels as if the game was rushed out. Other than that its still a pretty fun game but I feel its not worth the $60. Maybe in a few months or a year when its down to $30 or $20 then it's worth it.

This game is pretty bad. The controls are worse. The best Spider-man experience I had was with Spider-Man 2 for ps2. All of the others seem to have been downhill from there. The story is short (I blew through it in about two days) and the side missions: repetitive, and disruptive(especially when you take into consideration the "breaking news" after every side mission). The side missions are pretty much shoved in your face based on the "hero/menace" paradigm. You'll also see ridiculous, non Spider-Man things such as having to "fall" off a ledge and reattach (if you can) as opposed to being able to start crawling down a wall from a standing position on top of a building. There's a bit of ill fitting dialogue in this game as well. Example: during one of the ... MoreThis game is pretty bad. The controls are worse. There's a bit of ill fitting dialogue in this game as well. Example: during one of the (repetitive) side missions, Spidey lifts some fallen debris off of a bystander claiming, "I don't know how long I can hold..." Before discarding the entire stack like, no problem, and then you have to a non skip able news break. Sheesh. As well as a non responsive leveling system. The fights are repetitive and lack acute control as some of the prior games did well with. I would say that unless you are a glutton for punishment, and searching for ways to throw away money with no return, stay away from this game. Activision should be ashamed of this game. Maybe next time they should get some test gamers to try it out first instead of rushing to release. I couldn't dream of reselling this game, because I wouldn't want someone else to feel as betrayed as I was by this purchase. After 4 days (and seeing it on the deal of the day for 20 dollars less than I paid for it), I just threw this game in the garbage. Zero stars isn't an option.

I really wanted to like this game as I gave it a chance when I bought it but, for next-gen games, standards no doubt are raised for quality of games and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on next-gen is the best version available but that's not saying much. As of this review, the game is $60. I bought it and sold it to a friend a week after because I grew tired of it quickly. While not horrible looking, for PS4 it's pretty lackluster. The city is barren, the people look soulless, and bugs galore. Peter Parker does not look even remotely like Andrew Garfield and his voice feels really off-putting. By that I mean it's not his voice either. Probably just some Joe-Schmoe. I guess Garfield's voice/likeness was too expensive? By that I mean it's not his voice either. Probably just some Joe-Schmoe. I guess Garfield's voice/likeness was too expensive? Also the cutscenes and story, are laughable in their execution because you can tell the game did not have a long development time as occasionally cutscenes are done with concept art or storyboards. Animations of the character models are wonky and the game overall is just okay. It's a price dropper for sure. The best thing about the game is that the swinging is the best it's been in years but even for something like that, you're better off on waiting for it to drop. So either wait for the PS4 or Xbox One version to drop in price or buy it for PS3 and 360 and save $10 if you NEED to play it right now. Otherwise, just wait. Don't make my mistake.
This is a fun beat 'em up game. The story is back and forth at times and the combat can get boring after a while. However, it's still fun to freely swing back and forth through the city and use web combos to take down enemies. It's creative and fun. Also, a huge plus for me was having Carnage as the main villain. Ever since the Maximum Carnage SNES game back in the 90s, I've wanted this and now we have it!! It's a fun game but it's not the best. For the price it is now, you'll definitely enjoy it!
I really loved the Amazing Spider-man for the 360, so naturally wanted to get this game. This is only my second game for the ONE. I really like the action and the side missions and such- the actual story line is weak, not really related to the movie at all. Yes you do get to fight Electro and then the Green Goblin- but up to that, basically a stand alone plot. I really love the swinging around, the controls this time around for it are move involved than the first game- so I like that challenge. I had read some reviews prior to purchasing it, and one of the main complaints was the load time- which I defiantly do agree with. Although this does seem to be an issue with the ONE in general. I would recommend this game to any Spider Man fan.
ITS STILL FUN TO SWING AROUND NEW YORK CITY. YOUR WEBLINE HAVE TO ACTUALLY ATTACH TO A NEAR BY BUILDING OR STRUCTURE. SO YOU WILL BE MORE CLOSER TO THE GROUND THE CARS AND THE PEOPLE. THE WEBLINES ARE ATTACHED TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT TRIGGERS BUTTONS SO YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO ALTERNATE BUTTON PRESSES. COMBAT IS STILL THE SAME JUST BUTTON MASHING. THE MISSIONS ARE SHORTER THIS TIME. I THINK THE GAME WAS RUSHED TO COINCIDE WITH THE MOVIE RELEASE. ITS A SHAME THAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER WITH MORE TIME. IF YOUR A FAN ITS MORE OF THE SAME.
So in all, I only attempted the story mode of this game. The best part is by far the ability to web-sling around the city. I would recommend that anyone who's a fan of Spider-Man, plays this game. If, however, you're a regular gamer, you may not find this game very appealing. The fight sequences are almost identical to any Arkham game on the market and the story is so jam packed with characters, there's no time for development. The game is also fairly short (2 days without side missions.) The pace makes the game easy and fun if you just want to see the multitude of villains and don't care too much about building a good Spiderman story. The graphics are pretty on point so I've got nothing negative to say there. All in all it has good aspects and some mediocre aspects ... MoreSo in all, I only attempted the story mode of this game. I paid $60, and think it was an awesome deal. The combat was like Arkham batman games. The story is meh. Love hearing Stan Lee's voice. I played the game on ps4 and absolutely loved the game. It is horribly short. I beat it on the 360. The reason for my purchase was I wanted a good and fun Spiderman game on my xbox series x, and now I have one. I plan to collect every comic book and stuff this time around. Fun game, some really good mini games, and fun action. I give it a 8/10.
Very good, already beat it. Took a bit of time getting used to the controls. But fun game none the less! Thanks again fellas!
