the first while it did give me kinda of an itching pain. to be fair, I used it irregularly at this time and also picked at my face a lot. it stopped me picking my face as much because I knew that it'd sting because of my wounds, but then it felt great. I have sensitive-ish skin, but the pain has definitely stopped now. I use it after serums, and before moisturizer. I can't tell for sure what's it done with my skin, but I see this serum as a positive thing as its definitely made me pick waaaay less at my skin and prevented more wounds. my only complaint is that it seems to clump up, ALOT. no matter with how little or how much I use, it will clump up. I use the recommended amount, and I can get away with little clumping. its not in my way at all, but bit annoying as ... Morethe first while it did give me kinda of an itching pain. to be fair, I used it irregularly at this time and also picked at my face a lot. it stopped me picking my face as much because I knew that it'd sting because of my wounds, but then it felt great. I love it, although it took some time to get the application right. At first I tried to apply it like a cream after which it just peeled up. But after mixing it with any liquid serum (which I find a bit inconveniencing, minus point for that) it really does the job. It helps prevent breakouts and cleared up my skin as the first ever product to do so! On top, I made the (very subjective!) observation, that it makes my skin glow and evens out my skin tone. As I don't have sensitive skin, I do not feel any stinging (even when applied directly). It has become a staple for me and I can very much recommend it!

It started to fade my acne scars in the first week I got it, and helped decrease my breakouts too. It’s a very potent serum so it’s probably why it worked so fast. I’m honestly really impressed. Though I do have to say that it did sting in an area where I still had an eczema breakout so definitely don’t use it if you have sensitive skin. But this didn’t worsen my eczema or anything and was fine everywhere else, but i cant say the same thing for everyone. But if your skin can take stronger formulas then this is amazing. If not their other vitamin c serum is very gentle, doesn’t work as fast as this one but it’s very soothing.

I also have to give 3 stars to this cream. I bought it because it was The Inkey List, and so far, my experience with the brand has been great. But I must say this product needs improvement. The texture is funny when applied on top of any other product: It literally falls down in tiny pieces, little balls if you will. And even when applying the product alone, you have to watch the amount you aim for because a pea size squeeze will get all over the place and fall off as previously described. I'm finishing it because I don't want to lose my money and it is not giving me any skin concerns, but I definitely won't buy it again.
I was afraid to try this due to the reviews that said this was too harsh for the skin. I have very sensitive, acne-prone skin so I bought a tube, expecting the stinging and dryness that most other people mentioned. However, I was happy to find that it was fine! I use a pea-sized amount and did not have to mix with hyaluronic acid to ease the stinging. It is fine under makeup but you need to make sure you use a little and use your fingers to spread it evenly so it's absorbed by the skin before applying makeup. I do prefer a more liquid consistency because it's easier to use and blend into the skin but all other comparable Vitamin C serums (that actually have a decent concentration of Vitamin C) are at least $100. This is a tenth of the price and works really well. My ... MoreI was afraid to try this due to the reviews that said this was too harsh for the skin. My mom (52 yrs old) had sun spots and dark under-eye circles and this serum did an awesome job in reducing hyperpigmentation and discoloration in just a few months. My suggestion is to try it and see if it suits your skin and body.
I have dry skin and rosacea. I have been using this Vit C cream for a few weeks now. It has smoothed out my skin complexion. It gives my skin a nice matte, plump look after application. However the 30% concentration is too high. I use ~1/3 of the recommended dose my skin is slightly irritated after use (this does resolve quickly). I mix the cream with HA serum to reduce irritation. The formula is a little thick; mixing with serum also helps to attain an even spread.I am highly looking forward to Inkey's 15% VITAMIN C + EGF SERUM becoming available in Australia.
I wouldn’t call it a serum, as it has a thicker consistency that ordinary fluid serums. This one is more of a cream. It seems to have a higher percentage of vitamin C, so if you’ve never used vitamin C before, maybe use something calming like First Aid Beauty Oat toner underneath as a buffer. If stings a bit on application especially if you have damaged skin like a recent blemish mark. But I really like it. It reminds me of the Ordinary vitamin C powder that you have to mix with water or serum to apply, but without all the fuss of mixing. The smell is the same also - you have to get used to it. In general I think it’s a great product, but I’m going to look into products that have other useful ingredients that also incorporate vitamin C. I was happy and mostly satisfied with every single Inkey produkt I ordered so far, and I have been using their products for longer than a year by now. Until my last order. I found this Vitamin C serum and was like "oh my good, this is cool, such a good antioxidant serum, I must have it in my skincare morning routine". IF I ONLY KNEW HOW WRONG WAS I. I was trying to put it on my skin after hyaluronic acid serum, as I normally do, I tried to put it on my face without it, I tried to cleanse my skin two times before putting it on, and yes - I do exfoliation. This serum is simply PILLING OFF so bad that it really pissed me off every single morning I have tried to put it on my skin. Otherwise I really do recommned to stay away from this serum as far as you can.
I had used a couple bottles of the Vitamin C with EGF, and liked it, but wanted something with LAA for more oomph. I know how great vitamin C is for the skin, and love so many of The Inkey List products, but this one just didn’t work. I got a small patch of red, dry, peeling skin covered in little white bumps on my chin after using it for a few days.At first, I attributed the problem to the Differin gelI had started using at night, but I discontinued use of both to be safe, and tried to focus on moisturizing and babying my skin. It took weeks to go away. Then I tried again, mixing the vitamin C with hyaluronic acid and trying not to use it on the area. I wasn’t using Differin at all, since I had suspected it was the culprit before. I wasn’t using Differin at all, since I had suspected it was the culprit before. It seemed to be okay for a few days, then the same problem occurred in the exact same area. So now I knew it was the vitamin C for sure.So I let it fully heal, then tried again. Same results.I’m disappointed but I don’t think this product agrees with me. I’m now on the hunt for a better vitamin C product.
I have used Vitamin C serum from other brands and and I’ve never had a problem using them but this one was weird. I was expecting it to be liquid but it was cream but it won’t put on nicely on the skin either. Worst is once it’s on my skin, it gives an unpleasant tingling sensation almost burning feeling on my skin. I tried using it in several different occasions but my skin had the same reaction every time. I didn’t even used up 1/4 of the product and I threw it out. All the other products I’ve used from this brand has been amazing except this.
