Amazing game! Takes Link into a whole new dimension! It is fun to play, but it is also beautiful to look at. I enjoy the exciting gameplay, but sometimes it is also nice to just take a hike through Hyrule, do some sightseeing and simply see what might be around the next corner! There is always something new to discover. The story was engaging, I like the direction that they went with Princess Zeldaâs character, and the other characters you meet along the way are fun. My only 2 complaints are the weapons break far too quickly, and the final boss fight was too easy. But I loved the shrines, the puzzles were fun and engaging. Overall a great game!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildâs sheer freedom and sense of adventure is a remarkable achievement. Right from the start, the vast landscape of Hyrule is thrown completely open to you, and it constantly finds ways to pique your curiosity with mysterious landmarks, complex hidden puzzles, and enemy camps to raid for treasure and weapons. The fact that you can tackle any one of these things at your own pace and almost never get pulled to the main path is liberating, but the way all of Breath of the Wildâs systems fit elegantly into complex light survival game is even more impressive. Iâve been running around for over 50 hours and I still have plenty of mysteries left to track down and lots of wonderfully crafted puzzles to solve. Iâve been running around for over 50 hours and I still have plenty of mysteries left to track down and lots of wonderfully crafted puzzles to solve. Iâm in awe of the scope and scale of this adventure, and I often find myself counting the hours until I can get back in.The untamed, post-apocalyptic, techno-fantasy land of Hyrule is the main character in Breath of the Wild. Not only is it vast, beautiful, and filled with a diverse set of locations from grassy fields to craggy alpine mountains, but it follows surprisingly realistic rules that let you pull off solutions so intuitive that you might be surprised they actually work. The trees bear fruit, grass fields can be set ablaze, and even enemies and animals behave in a believable manner, based on the skittish and aggressive reactions Iâve seen in the wild. But the realistic touches donât end there. Each object you encounter, from sticks to apples to rocks and metallic blocks, is made of a material, and those materials usually respond to forces like fire and magnetism as youâd expect. It all sets up a surprisingly fun and responsive sandbox to interact with, and one Iâve rarely seen executed so well in an action-adventure game. If you think something should work, it usually does, and that led me to all kinds of fun and hilarious experimentation. You can stand under an apple tree with a torch and bake the fruit into a quick-healing snack before you even pick it, or drop a metal sword in front of a weaponless enemy and watch it get fried by a bolt of lighting. Meanwhile, Link needs warmer clothes to survive the cold and flame-resistant gear to near the volcanic Death Mountain. Itâs consistently amazing to learn how all of these systems interact with each other while you play.

Like so many others I love this game. There are already so many well written reviews I don't really have anything to add. I originally played this game on release in 2017 on my WiiU. I had upgraded to a Nintendo Switch and after playing Tears of the Kingdom decided to get this for Switch also. Been so long since I played on the Wii this is fun again - personally I like it so much better than TOTK - that game is almost too big - right? I did not like the underground in that one - playing in the dark was not so much fun for me. I am a Sr. Citizen and the dark screen was not the best for me even playing on a 55 inch tv. Anyway I LOVE BOTW and also got the expansion pack as what true Zelda fan could pass that up. Happy gaming!

I absolutely love this game! It feels a lot like Skyrim but not as dark. The main quest story is enchanting and interesting. I played this game during my kidsâ nap time, whenever I got the chance. Sometimes I would do tasks and things in order. Sometimes I would just wander around. Honestly, one of my very favorite things to do in this game was catch and ride the horses. I had to look a lot of things up in the wiki, either because Iâm not very good at video games, or because some things were just way too difficult or hidden. I give this a five star rating because I feel like there is nothing at all wrong with this game. I loved all of it!
I know alot of people love this game but I couldn't be bothered to play through it. The item decay is ridiculous and the game just feels empty and dead. The gameworld is huge but there is nothing worth looking at in it. There is nothing that I like about this game. This is my least favorite Zelda game thus far even beating out Skyward sword for worst Zelda ever. Also Nintendo needs to stop being greedy and expecting so much for 6 year old games. This is one of the reasons I have stopped buying anything for switch and just stick to PC and Xbox. Once a game has been out for a few months to a year on PC or console you can generally get it for half the cost, sometimes even cheaper. Not with Nintendo. Wish I had gotten the physical copy at least then I could trade it off.
Absolutely incredible game. I got this game at launch and was impressed then, but got sidetracked by other games around that time and never finished it. I would pick it back up from time to time but only recently decided to actually get through the main bosses and finish the game. Iâm really glad I did because itâs a masterpiece unlike Iâve experienced since Red Dead Redemption II.The more you explore, the more you find to do. Itâll take a good couple of hours of playing to realize you have not come even close to scratching the surface on things to do in the game, and days before you start to scratch said surface. Some background, I havenât played a game since i was in middle school and iâm currently 24. I also have no gaming experience with Legend of Zelda. So far after a few days of playing the game.. I have been OBSESSED with the game. This game doesnât give you a complete guide on every thing. You have to figure out a lot on your own especially as a first time player with no prior knowledge. HOWEVER, this is a complete dream for me. The open world concept and ability to play my own way makes it soooo much fun to figure things out in my own. Thereâs so many things going on which can get overwhelming but it keeps the game fresh and on my toes. I donât see myself finishing this game within a month which is a huge plus for me because I want to explore every inch of the maps. ... MoreSome background, I havenât played a game since i was in middle school and iâm currently 24. I donât see myself finishing this game within a month which is a huge plus for me because I want to explore every inch of the maps. Granted there are areas with harder enemies, but itâs a challenge for me to try to find a way around them and learn better ways at fighting them. Iâve managed to get into some areas being way weaker than my opponents and itâs thrilling. Only âcomplaintâ I have is trying to figure out how to fight the monsters. I wish they could teach you right off the bat but you kind of learn as you go. Even then Itâs hood instead of overwhelming you with so many ways. I can keep going on for days but i have to get back to playing. Def recommend if youâre into a long term game and love solving problems.
Miss Sharon at the Cooper City Fl location electronics section was an amazing help! I was shopping for Christmas and she was so sweet and I told her I didnât play that my mom (age 60) plays %26 that she already had a Zelda game so she showed me the other two and made a recommendation. She also helped my with an item in another section quickly and efficiently. It was like I had my own personal shopper. She was so sweet and made sure to offer me the protection plans and advised two laptops side by side so I could easily select my Choice. I asked her if there was survey I could complete for her for her amazing service and I know this is about the game. As it is the holiday season it would be nice to share positive rather than the all- the -time neg. feedback. Although its always the same story and essentially the same characters, Nintendo manages to push out another banger. I haven't played tears of the kingdom yet as I still want to finish this one first. That being said, this is my favorite Zelda game so far. But I tend to say that with most of the big releases when they come out. (excluding those gameboy versions). This game is just massive in it's open world. Everything is essentially a collectible of some sort which you can use for cooking or some sort of potion to help with your quest. Or if you are like me, just hoard it all and try to max it all out. There are different outfits you can collect along the way to help you sneak, fight, swim, defend, and etc. Of coarse if you are reading this at this time, you ... MoreAlthough its always the same story and essentially the same characters, Nintendo manages to push out another banger. If you don't and aren't sure and own a switch, well just get it already. This is a must for the system. If Nintendo games where all part of the Mafia and they had some sort of rank, this one would be a Don.
absolutely love this game. itâs a mostly slow and self paced adventure, so if you prefer constant action sequences this may not be the type for you. itâs not totally ârelaxedâ though. youâll encounter plenty of enemies and other challenges so itâs not all just aimless wandering. the world is huge and looks like a living painting. there are tons of things to discover, whether itâs just cool looking landscapes or korok puzzles or shrines (which you will be doing a lot of) and more. there arenât many restraints besides your initial low stamina and health, so itâs very fun to just goof around in and see in what ways you can accomplish something. the first dozen or so hours of the game can definitely be a challenge with how weak you are, but technically you can always ... Moreabsolutely love this game. itâs a mostly slow and self paced adventure, so if you prefer constant action sequences this may not be the type for you. itâs not totally ârelaxedâ though. youâll encounter plenty of enemies and other challenges so itâs not all just aimless wandering. the world is huge and looks like a living painting. there are tons of things to discover, whether itâs just cool looking landscapes or korok puzzles or shrines (which you will be doing a lot of) and more. there arenât many restraints besides your initial low stamina and health, so itâs very fun to just goof around in and see in what ways you can accomplish something. the first dozen or so hours of the game can definitely be a challenge with how weak you are, but technically you can always just try to avoid enemies and continue. this is a fantastic low-intensity adventure game if you enjoy puzzle solving and fighting enemies and just wandering around the world.
