An attached hood would be perfection. After spending hundreds of dollars on name-brand jackets of various weights with zippers whose lifetime was measured in days or weeks, it is wonderful to find a jacket with a rugged latching-tooth zipper. The jacket fits well, with some space available for extra layers if desired. The garment size is M; the color is black. I am 5ft 8in tall and weigh 135 lbs.

The sleek black puffer jacket I tried was a game-changer for the colder months. Its lightweight yet insulating design kept me comfortably warm without feeling bulky. The durable exterior handled brisk winds effortlessly, and the deep pockets were a bonus for storing essentials. The minimalistic style easily paired with various outfits, making it a versatile and practical addition to any winter wardrobe. Overall, it's a reliable, stylish choice for those seeking warmth without sacrificing fashion.

Excellent product. Very warm, and blocks out wind very well. Wore this coat while jumping a vehicle and changing a battery when the wind chill was -10. Just had a hoodie and t-shirt on under the coat and had zero issues dealing with the cold. The jacket is comfy as well. I am 5'11", 198 lbs and a L works very well for me. I chose a L as people had mentioned the sleeves tend to be short and I hate sleeves being too short. The L was the perfect length and the overall fit was very good as well. Not a fan of feathers randomly popping out, but if I had any complaints that would be my only one. Highly recommend this jacket.

I love this Jacket! I was unsure of the color at the time (black was out of stock in the large size), but I am pleasantly surprised with it. I'm 6'2" 200lb with a muscular build and the large fits me perfectly. Narrower-built individuals may want to consider sizing down. It is very warm and insulates very well from wind. I wanted a jacket that I could wear over a hoodie or under my ski jacket and this accommodates both very nicely. External pockets are zippered and have a comfortable placement. Internal pockets are fairly spacious. Does not fold in on itself like an UL packable down jacket. Would recommend it for both casual and active wear. Probably not the best option for UL packing. Kept me plenty warm and comfortable in temperatures down to the 10-15 degree range.
I am not picky and jacket fit great and I loved the color but I agree with other reviewers that the color was dirty around collar and stains showed up just wearing it out to dinner. I emailed support and Jesica told me no one had problems with color changing but after looking at reviews plenty of people had same problem. I just want a replacement but Jesica blew me off and told me to contact warranty. So disappointed in North Face!!! They need to own up there is a problem and not pretend there isn't. I have plenty of Patagonia and North face products I am a big skier but this the first let down!!
I bought this as my new everyday commute jacket because my old Carhartt jacket isn't as warm as I need it to be so I decided to switch over for a insulated one and I do not regret it.I love the overall feel and structure of the jacket, it's very comfortable and form fitting, fits true to size and keeps me toasty even in 20-30 weather. I also like the fact that even though it's not listed as a feature, it is a bit water resistant although not as much as the more expensive models that are similar. What I don't like is that for the price, I wish there were more pockets. At least one more inside one, but I knew there wasn't going to be one so I'm exactly disappointed. The other I don't really like is the cuffs at the wrist, as it uses an elastic band that don't ... MoreI bought this as my new everyday commute jacket because my old Carhartt jacket isn't as warm as I need it to be so I decided to switch over for a insulated one and I do not regret it.I love the overall feel and structure of the jacket, it's very comfortable and form fitting, fits true to size and keeps me toasty even in 20-30 weather. The other I don't really like is the cuffs at the wrist, as it uses an elastic band that don't really work well with layering and can sometimes ride up a bit especially if you're layering.Overall though, a great jacket even if it is a bit pricey.
I usually have to go up a size to get sleeves long enough but I took a chance ordering a medium based on the pics on the model and I wasn't disappointed. The new Dark Sage colour is beautiful, it's a "normal" fit so there's just enough room for a light hoodie underneath if desired, the material is soft and comfortable with some stretching, and the body length is perfect. So far I've only tested it in around zero Celsius temps with a light wind but it was very warm. I'm glad I ignored the couple of negative reviews I read and purchased the jacket. Highly recommended.
I ordered this coat as an upgrade from my Insulated Junction jacket I got from Academy Sports Outdoors. I wanted something warmer but not too bulky, the parkas and Gotham seemed too big for me to wear here since it's usually not that cold in San Antonio during the winter these days. 30 degrees happens on some days but even then the weather can go high as 65. The jacket fit is definitely a more 'fitted' jacket compared to my Insulated Down Junction I've had since 2019. This 550 goose down was perfect on the last week of cold mornings and afternoons, we had windy days too which really helped out considering we had a volunteer day thru work and it super windy too. Super lightweight, stylish, I will admit I wish I got the hoodie version of this because I like to protect ... MoreI ordered this coat as an upgrade from my Insulated Junction jacket I got from Academy Sports Outdoors. Super lightweight, stylish, I will admit I wish I got the hoodie version of this because I like to protect myself in wet weather days but it was sold out on TNF site sadly and no date of stock filling so stuck to my regular one. Overall, a great jacket if you want something light, warm, cozy, and just looks cool!
Not good for those 5'8" or less because it'll go below the waist. Sleeves are very long, too. However, it has an okay fit. Boxy, but okay; not too loose on the back. Better fit if layered. But as a throw on jacket, it's oddly shaped. Though, it kept me warm. And zipping it up is very easy. Time will tell with its durability. I highly recommend using down jacket cleaners, or like cleaning down-methods so you don't destroy your expensive jacket.
I ordered a black size L (Mens) size jacket. I typically wear a 42 chest size range jacket. It fit me correctly in all areas except that it was very tight under my armpits. I had a tee shirt on when I first put the jacket on and was dismayed that it was too tightly binding under both armpits. I examined it to see if I could figure it out but can only think it is a design flaw. There would be no way for me to wear a typical longsleeve or winter type shirt underneath it because of this tightness. I am not a muscle builder and am what one would call average to skinny... so what's up with the too tight area Northface?
