This is my go to comfort hoodie. I've wanted one of these for a very long time and I'm not disappointed. It's very comfortable and super warm. Not too hard to pull over and get on, especially with a little side zip. I am 6 foot tall, trail runner build/ physique and a medium fits me perfectly. If I have a long sleeve underneath, I can deal with fairly cold temps outside. The fit is very spacious like other people I have mentioned, but I'm ok with that. This to me is not a performance fleece although at one time I'm sure it was used that way. I feel like this is more work from home fleece, running errands around town etc. Its dense and very heavy, but I kind of like that for the purposes that I use it for. I'm trying to think of negatives but really can't at this ... MoreThis is my go to comfort hoodie. I've wanted one of these for a very long time and I'm not disappointed. I know the price is kind of steep, but if it lasts me 3-5 years then it's worth it.

Good product. Only reason for 4 stars is no pit zips and the kangaroo pocket. I am 5'8 and 150 lbs and I ordered the Small. It is fitted, and short, which I like. I also own the original Denali jacket. It had pit zips and was a little bit heavier weight.

I'm an anorak fan and really like this version of TNF's classic Denali fleece line. My only wishes are that they'd offer it in a slimmer, athletic fit, as it's quite baggy. And/or at least make the sleeves a bit on the longer side so that we could size down for a slimmer fit in the body, while able to move your arm without the cuffs yanking up to your elbows.I also wish they'd annually offer it in the black and TNF medium gray colorways. Otherwise a great piece.

I returned it. Why can't there be a full zip with a hood. You can get the Denali with full zip with no hood or the Anorak with a hood with half zip. Half zip is a pain to pull over your head to put on and off. MAKE FULL ZIP with HOOD
I love this product, I use it when ever it gets cold outside. I live in Colorado and the climate here Can get a little crazy. It gets cold in the mornings and warmer during the afternoons. This comes in handy because it has a zipper on the side to release moisture. It's warm and comfortable.
I love this anorak. super high quality for design, materials and construction. unfortunately, the large was slightly too tight for me around the upper chest and the XL was slightly too big for me. Sadly I had to return both. But I would highly recommend to others who it'd fit better.
My son really liked the anorak (size = large) and said he thought it would keep him warm. He's 6'3" and ~210 lbs and it just fit him through the shoulders and arms. He normally wears a large in the NorthFace hoodies so I thought that a large Denali would fit well. If he wanted to wear a sweatshirt underneath the anorak, it would have had no extra room. The real issue he had with it was in the length; hit him at his waist so we sent it back. We are not sure if the XL will fit any better as we haven't received it yet. Writing this review in case there are taller shoppers out there wondering about the fit.
It looks nice and is very lightweight. Definitely need a long sleeve base because a cold wind will cut through it. The hood covers your head well and doesn't obstruct your vision. There is a side zipper to allow it to fit snug.
I love the Hooded Anorak concept and the Denali is a classic. The fleece is fairly thicker weight, and appreciate that it's recycled. I've never loved the boxy, short fit of the Denali's and really wish TNF would offer a slimmer, more athletic cut version with a little bit longer sleeves for range-of-motion.That said, this one fit well enough as an over-layer (though still a bit short in the body), but I ended up returning it because of the extremely annoying hood adjustment cords in the front of your face. There's not really a tie down on the ends to keep them in place, and there's just way too much elastic cording dangling around your chin. I wish they'd go back to something more like the discontinued Denali 2, or just have some of the stretch elastic all the way ... MoreI love the Hooded Anorak concept and the Denali is a classic. I was raised in New York City, my whole life, but whenever I leave during the colder season to places like Vermont or Bear mountain, the first thing I'll make sure to pack up are all my North face products and accessories. Very comfortable and does the job better than any other brand I've ever used. The quality speaks for itself and I've been using their products since the early 90s. And for the warmer weather and fall, they have plenty of selection to choose from. It's literally my favorite brand.
