This is the first rain jacket I've owned that isn't STIFF.As a hiking guide, I like to be able to breathe in my jackets and have flexibility. This provides that and more! This jacket was a gift from my daughters. I had admired one of their Northface jackets - and glad I did. It is perfect for rainy day walks in the park and to keep off the chill when dashing around town. It's lightweight and the perfect length for getting in and out of the car. I can add a sweater underneath for additional warmth. It's found a permanent spot on the hook by the door.

Love the jacket, it fits well and does a great job at being a rain jacket. Unfortunately the zipper got stuck when I put it on for the 2nd use and become un usable. Both me and my partner spent at least 15 minutes trying to get it unlatched And both gave up breaking a sweat. Currently don't know what to do with it now. Wish I had more chances to use it.

This is NOT a waterproof jacket. From the first time I used the jacket I confirmed that this jacket is not waterproof or water repellent. You get really wet specially the shoulders, arms and back.It's a pity because is a really beautiful jacket but if you spend 200€ in a waterproof jacket you expect to be protected from the rain.It happens the same in a male version with the futurelight technology.I am really disappointed with this jacket.
Nearing the end of a 3-week April trip to Portugal, I'm happy to report that my new rain parka has been great. Unfortunately, Ive had more opportunities to wear it than I'd have wished for, and it has performed well.Good, thoughtful garment design is coupled with style, so I stayed dry on hiking trails and urban sidewalks. The longer length really beats my previous hip/length Northface rain parka. Love the dropped-down back which keeps your seat dry.In a total downpour in the city, shoulders and cuffs weren't 100% water repellent, but overall it functioned admirably. Also acts as a lightweight windbreaker over a fleece jacket. Bring it on!
Fits great (is a little roomy so you can layer underneath) and is super flattering. It keeps out rain and is long enough to keep your bum and legs protected. The jacket isn't super thick (more like a shell) so it allows you to wear it in a variety of temps (depending on what you wear under it.) Not a great winter jacket but perfect for the PNW transition from winter to spring.
On a recent trip to Alaska, several people were wearing this stylish and oh-so-functional jacket. Came back to a rainy spell in the midwest, and knew I had to have this. So pleased it was available at Moosejaw! Looks great, absolutely perfect for rainy days, can be dressed up or down, and the length is great! Plus the sleeves are actually long enough for a 5'9" person. Thank you Moosejaw!
After returning the first for a larger size I'm excited to have a jacket that seems to keep the rain off while also feeling soft and comfortable on the inside. I haven't worn it yet for hours in the rain but so far the water in showers I've encountered beads up completely. Beware gals, if you want to layer under this jacket, you'll probably need a size bigger than recommended by both the size chart and the several sales folks I spoke with before my first try at the right size.
I wanted to love this. It ran too small unfortunately and I was outside the window of exchanging it. I would recommend sizing up. I'm normally a small in North Face everything but the armpits were just too tight (& that's without a sweater). I'm a slim athletic fit 5'6. Otherwise quality was really nice.
The zipper color on the green jacket didn't match the jacket. It actually looked baby blue-ish. The ribbon zipper pulls were a third shade of green. This made the jacket look cheap and for this price I couldn't ignore it. I sent it back but otherwise I liked the fit and fabric. I guess I would recommend to a friend if they bought a different color!
