The jacket have very cool features, the material is out of this world and keeps my husband warm even in the Boston winter, that's pretty heavy. The cut of the jacket is kinda short which is nice if you drive a lot, some long jackets are uncomfortable because they roll over when it comes to sit down in the car. My husband has a slim figure and athletic body, 152 lbs, waist of 29 inches but wide in the shoulder so I got a size M and it fitted perfectly with enough space to wear layers underneath. My daughter sent me the link for moose jaw which was great. I ordered a super nice North Face gray winter jacket for my son-in-law. He put it on & totally fit perfectly & he was knocked out. Said his old jacket was so worn out the stuffing was coming out & his kids were making fun of him!! So glad I ordered the jacket from moose jaw. This North Face jacket is great. It fits well and is super warm. I love the green color too. I would purchase it again in a New York minute. I have no regrets about this purchase. I have a black North Face jacket that I wear all of the time but wanted this one for cooler winter temps! This 550 down really works and keeps me toasty in Morganton, NC.
Bought as a gift for my husband. Lovely fit. He’s usually a large and 6 foot 2’ but the medium fits him perfect. The are big fitting. Nice and puffy too but neat fit. Would buy again.
Bought for my son. Zipper doesn't work after a month, goes up doesn't come down. He has to use it like a sweater if he wants to use it at all, til I figure if it can be fixed. Why would you put such a ridiculously bad/cheap zipper in anything?Feel conned. Never again.
If you’re looking for a winter coat, do not get this jacket. This is not a warm jacket by any means. I bought thinking I would replace my winter coat from last winter. Given the price point was more expensive than my current heavy coat, I expected this to be a warm jacket. I purchased this along with a zipup north face fleece to layer underneath. Wearing both this jacket with the fleece under neath is still not warm enough for a NY winter. We haven’t even gotten into our cold season yet. This jacket will basically be useless in a month. The fit of it is ok, a little short. The north face fleece in the same size is longer than the jacket so it hangs out underneath. Not a lot to like about this.
My husband's first North Face coat was leaking feathers due to a friction burn from our weekend of luging. I bought this one as a replacement coat. It's similar to the first one and he likes it just as much. He actually commented that this may be the best coat he's owned. Definitely a favorite for him! I ordered the navy blue.
I received this jacket yesterday and was genuinely disappointed. Thin and all-around cheap. I have purchased nearly a dozen jackets, shells, vest and raincoats from The North Face but nothing in the last 10+ years. Definitely not what I expected. This jacket pales in comparison to my 90's fleece and Gore-Tex gear. Feel a bit like a discount jacket, not worth the price.
