I bought a light, hooded windbreaker from North Face while travelling in Nepal to Everest Base Camp. It was a cheap purchase abroad as i forgot my rain jacket. The windbreaker held up in strong winds and rain and was perfect for layering. Besides the zipup, the coat has velcro closures and the hood is designed to stay on and not be blown away in the wind. Very happy with purchase. It is a striking sky blue colour that doesn't fade in the wash and holds up well during torrential downpours. I recommend both the brand and the jacket.

I can choose to wear this with only a t-shirt and still looks flattering, but I can choose to wear a heavyweight sweatshirt underneath, and plenty of room and flexibility. It's been through many forests, rocky scrambles, and everything in-between, and not a single rip or tear. It'll tear if a sharp rock catches it, but I've been good to avoid it. The shell accepts aftermarket rain proofing coating very well, also. Kudos, North Face.

6?1, 200, MediumI purchased the Venture2 for some mountain hiking. This jacket is awesome. There?s enough room for a thermoball jacket and a few other layers underneath. As some have already stated in the reviews, it runs a little big as it?s designed for the purpose of layering. But even without layers, it still fits nicely since there are drawstrings to adjust the waist. It?s packable, lightweight, has great ventilation under the arms, and looks great. If you?re debating what kind of wind/rain shell to get for your outdoor adventures, this is the one. Get it!

The Taupe Green/TNF Black is a great jacket. It's a replacement for my original Grey/TNF white that has been losing it's HyVent lining around the neck/hood area. There are some minor differences between the two but they kept the pit-zips which is what I wanted in a rain jacket. The North Face doesn't seem to advertise this jacket on their web site anymore so this might be the last of them. I hope not because it is a good jacket.
This rain jacket fits perfectly and is such a pretty color! I am so glad i found it. The hood is nor to large in that it does not completely cover my face when pulled up-it stays in the right position. There are plenty of pockets for phone, tissues and lip balm. I love it!
Wanted a red rain jacket. This is a great jacket. Have several colors. Protects from rain and love the hood attached And allows ventilation so not so hot and uncomfortable. Can layer under for cooler day but love this jacket They last for Years! Will never regret this purchase Everyone needs one in their closet. Fit is true to size and room to move or layer underneath
I purchased this jacket for my husband as a Christmas present. He wears xxl and in a tall. He tried this jacket on at different places but length of arms was short. When I found it here and in his size, I ordered. I was disappointed Christmas morning to discover the arm length was 2.5 inches too long. Unfortunately, my husband is not willing to roll the sleeves up to. I will have to return it. Other than the length of the arm, the jacket was perfect. This is the only reason why I am returning it.

Had planned to use this 4 seasons but don't think this will suffice in Cold Winter weather like my XXL did. Now as to fit and all - I am 6'2" and 215lbs. Am also 60 now and hate being cold and wet. My last one held up for 2 NYC winters as well as rest of the yr's. This XL fits perfectly with my puffer jacket and long sleeved shirt. Hangs down just over top of my pants pockets, and the sleeve length is perfect for me (don't know actual measurements) The Hood has a Bill to it and will adjust to fit me wearing me Yankees cap comfortably.
