Defective! I love my raincoat however it arrived with a hole in it before I could even wear it! Extremely disappointed. I have brought a few jackets before and never received one defective. This is the first raincoat I brought from TNF and I'm now wondering is it the quality of the material of their raincoats. Having a hole in a raincoat is concerning because the water repellant and water proof technology will effect the entire coat. Customer service directed me to the warranty department so we will see how that goes.

I've used a North Face waterproof rain jacket for over twenty years. This is my third one and the design has changed, or the ones that I have had previously have been discontinued. I'm not a fan of this one. There is a mesh liner which makes the jacket heavier and warmer. I live in Florida so this isn't a desired feature for me. Heavier is also not good if carrying it when backpacking. The weight also might be because the jacket material itself feels heavier. Also this jacket doesn't have the side zip air vents under the arms. Again, a great feature for living in Florida. But, mind you, I've used my previous jackets while on the AT in the summer and this was a nice feature to have up there too. Lastly, the pockets in this new jacket are in a terrible location. You can't just stick your hands inside, you actually have to make a good effort to get your hand in. They are higher than normal jacket pockets and and they way the flap is makes it tricky. I feel like it defeats the purpose of pockets. A side note, the previous jackets I had all had a defect in the material at the neck line - but one that wouldn't show for at least three years, so still a great jacket and with the amazing warranty that The North Face offers, they always replaced my jackets. For that reason alone I will always stick with North Face. The old jackets I would have given five stars and unfortunately I can't do that with this one.

Even with T-Rex pockets, still a good jacket.

I had one of these in the past and ended up throwing it out because I puked into it while driving - long story but I loved the jacket because it's light weight and waterproof. Part of my reason for sending it back was that the pockets were very high so I was thinking the bigger size would drop them a little bit to wear your arms would naturally fall in a jacket pocket. Great fit, simple and effective rain jacket
27 August 2023

I love the color (New Taupe Green) and the jacket is a great fit and very water repellent. I bought it in-store and wore it out into the drizzly, rainy city and ran into no issues. I am usually an XS, but I bought a size S for a more comfortable fit. (Also the store dint have an XS for me to try on, but I think I would still stick to the S.) The only thing that is difficult to get used to is the pockets. The flaps that cover the zipper on the pockets make the diagonal opening weird to get into. I appreciate the large flat size of the pockets, but the flaps facing forwards, not backwards like usual, requires extra effort to reach in or put something into my pockets. I would also like it the hood had the little "extension" that my old rain jacket (not the same style) ... MoreI love the color (New Taupe Green) and the jacket is a great fit and very water repellent. I would also like it the hood had the little "extension" that my old rain jacket (not the same style) had. It was like a tiny little baseball cap brim that provided a little extra coverage when wearing the hood up. If you have a large head, the hood might not do much for you. It just barely reached my forehead and I have a somewhat small head.

Hood is too small and shoulders too narrow
28 October 2023

Let's start with a positive: this jacket was warm!! I loved the color but really did not like the fit so I ended up returning it. It was narrow in the shoulders which made it uncomfy to move around/the sleeves would come up if I did. Even though the shoulders were narrow it still came out at the hips giving me a sort of triangle shape. I bought a size medium for more room (I have a size small in my other raincoat) and I would've had to size up to have more comfort in the shoulders. The biggest reason why I returned it is because of the hood. It was way too small! It fit just around and over my head but if I had actually worn it in the rain my face, the front of my hair, and any glasses would have gotten soaked!! Most other raincoats have bigger hoods and a little ... MoreLet's start with a positive: this jacket was warm!! I loved the color but really did not like the fit so I ended up returning it. It’s an ok windbreaker/rain jacket.
5 November 2023

If there was petite sizing available I did not see any.The outside pockets are located rather high up on the sides on the jacket. It’s uncomfortable to put hands in the side pockets. Also no inside pockets. The sleeves are to long for me. The hood is ok but no string to hold it against head, it tends to blow open letting air or rain in. Haven’t actually worn this in heavy rain, just a light sprinkle. Hopefully it will keep me dry since my other rain coat did not; and it was from national outdoor brand of weather gear. Not sure where else to go for a coat in this town. I don’t want to order one.

North Face Antora Women's Jacket
3 November 2023

This is my second North face Antora Jacket. My first I had for 7 years and was still in great shape. But was misplaced. So I bought another and it is even better than my first one. I like that the hood is attached and there’s not a huge collar. The pockets are a good size and close with a zipper. I love the cord on the side! It’s great for when I want to make the jacket tighter around my waist. That best thing about this jacket is that even though it’s basically a spring jacket. I wear it all year around. It’s waterproof and wind proof. Light and comfortable. So when’s it colder I just wear a sweater underneath. Oh and it’s machine washable. It’s the best jacket I’ve ever owned and so worth the price! I do size up, just because I wear it all year long with layers. ... MoreThis is my second North face Antora Jacket. My first I had for 7 years and was still in great shape. But was misplaced. USED JACKET! So tired of Macys sending jackets that smell like putrid dryer sheets or febreze!!!! Second time this has happened and I’m in a SCENT FREE HOME! Hypoallergenic and clean I DO NOT USE SCENTS! I find it VERY OFFENSIVE to be sent USED SECOND HAND CLOTHING THAT I HAVE PAID FULL PRICE FOR! Thanks for the irritation, hassle and waste of my time. I can tell this jacket came from a store because of the cash register receipt and somebody bought it, wore it, washed it with smelly snuggle bear and returned it. THANKS MACYS YOU ARE JUST GREAT! Thumbs up!

Size up
31 August 2024

Overall it’s a good jacket. I hadn’t previously purchased a North Face jacket before so wasn’t aware of the sizes. I wanted a slightly larger fit so I could put jumpers/scarves on underneath and it would still cover my bum. I am usually a women’s Medium in other brands so decided to get XL for the roomier fit. I was quite surprised that this just about fit me. I can still get a jumper on but it’s more snug than I had hoped. I am going to keep it because overall it’s still a nice jacket and at the best price I’ve seen overall. I’d advise to size up.

This jacket is very well made & I would buy it again!
15 May 2024

I use this jacket for rain and I got it in large so I could layer when it's cooler. I formerly had a North Face jacket that was similar but the lining crumbled inside the inner mesh. North Face was wonderful about helping me replace it with a refund & discount!!!My old jacket had a pocket to fold the hood into a collar but it doesn't take long to get used to a new style. The pockets are also higher than where I would normally place my hands, but once again I'm getting used to them.I wanted the color that was a shade lighter but it seems to have been discontinued for women.Over all I am very pleased with this jacket!
