Great for dry skin but caused acne :(

As some background I have naturally dry skin and bad acne, but use prescription tretinoin (have used for many years) which takes me to very dry in winter/ dry in summer but completely clear skin. So I have to use heavy moisturisers, but never have issues with any products causing breakouts because of the tretinoin. So initially I loved this moisturiser, it is so thick and moisturising, but after about a week I would notice my skin would tingle a bit upon application, which would go away. After a couple of weeks I was getting small breakouts allover my face, even my nose was breaking out. Even before the tretinoin I never got nose breakouts, just chin and cheeks. Stopped using this and the breakouts went away again. Luxurious Feeling Rich Moisturizer

I've seen the one star reviews for this product. The description states this has twice the emollients of the original version. I wouldn't purchase this if I had oily skin or just don't like a rich feeling moisturizer. I would go with the original version with half the emollients or something different. Everything in the description sounded like a dream for super dry skin and it lives up to my expectations! I have normal to dry skin and I love what this product does for me. I apply a thick layer at night because I want that feeling of my skin being very moisturized in the morning. I was so excited to be selected to get to try the Ordinary's Natural Moisturizing Factors + PhytoCeramides as I am very familiar with their products and used the Ordinary skincare line for approximately two years and have always been extremely impressed. That said, their original moisturizer is not hydrating enough for me in the winter months as I have extremely dry skin. I am thrilled to say that the PhytoCeramides moisturizer is the PERFECT winter moisturizer. The consistency reminds me of mixing a hydration lotion with a sort of facial oil which makes it extremely hydrating. When I put it on my skin, my skin looks dewy and glowing. There is no burning sensation when it is applied which is fantastic, as I have very sensitive skin. I have noticed this winter my skin is burning, very dry and I can absolutely tell that I have not been taking care of it the way I used to. Without the energy, a detailed, step by step process is just too hard. For the past month I have been using JUST this both morning and night and it has made a tremendous difference in my skin. My makeup goes on way more smoothly and I have lost the dry patchy spots on my face. Ok I really love this moisturizer, but living in a very very humid state, like you have a wet blanket on you constantly and I'm oily anyway even being older I have to be careful on how I put it on, during the day no, I can't, it is very moisturizing I still use the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA, it works well for me under makeup and makeup free. Now this new moisturizer when I got it and used it I was like oh ok Wow, really moisturizing hmmm, not a daytime thing for me, so used it at night. Daytime I use this around eyes and sometime neck only as it is quite thick and takes quite a while to dry down, and I already have a very moisturizing SPF. It is the best eye daytime moisture I've used hands-down. At night it is great whole face and neck over serums. If I layer it over any other oil or moisturizer, I will get clogged pores. I tried using it over retinol in squalane and lots of clogs in the morning. As the only moisture layer, it's great—more moisturizing than squalane or rosehip seed oils. Light years more moisture than the original NMF, which was just a little better than nothing for my dry mature skin. My skin particularly loves ceramides. I've been waiting for deciem to make something like this. It is thick and a bit sticky or greasy.
