The AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution exfoliates multiple layers of skin for a brighter, more even appearance. Utilizing alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), beta hydroxy acids (BHA), and a studied derivative of the Tasmanian pepperberry that reduces irritation often associated with acid use, this athome peel helps smooth skin texture, clear clogged pores, and improve uneven pigmentation. The formula also includes a hyaluronic acid in the form of a crosspolymer for a pleasant skin feel, provitamin B5 for hydration, and black carrot for additional protection. Note: This formula contains an extremely high concentration of free acids. The pH of this formula is approximately 3.6. Glycolic acid, the key AHA in the formula, has a pKa of 3.6. The pKa value is the most important aspect of formulating acids. A pKa close to the pH indicates that the acid is available. When the pKa is near the pH, there is an ideal balance between salt and acid content, maximizing the acid's effectiveness while minimizing skin sensitivities.

I commend TO for making inexpensive products that are widely accessible to us in the States. But I gotta be honest - this exfoliating peel is nothing special. I've used 2 bottles and find that it just isn't effective. I suggest watching Cassandra Banks videos on how to properly use this, as it's a high concentration of AHA and BHA. But overall I didn't see any results. To use up the product, I used it as a body mask and that actually seemed to help my KP (Kerotosis Pilaris, aka Chicken Skin / Strawberry Legs) a bit. But it's not substantial as a KP product since it would take half the bottle to apply to both arms properly. Not for me! I've used a good number of exfoliators and have fairly decent skin, so perhaps this could influence my view and experience with this ... This product might be nice for those starting out with exfoliation who want to do a stronger peel every 3 weeks - but I believe you can achieve better (and healthier) results with more consistent and gentle exfoliation. This is a very strong exfoliator! Be very careful and gentle before using it, and definitely do your research with it - as it can go very wrong, very easily!!

All I see is users posting a cute selfie with the mask on so here are some hopefully actually helpful pictures of my pores. I’ve been using this weekly but fell of the wagon for a couple of weeks and noticed my black heads getting bad again. *For anyone who experiences the worst nose blackheads like me- this is the one thing that works!* The picture included is my nose before and after using it again after two weeks of no use. You can see on the bottom the amount of blackheads significantly decreased, and my pores and skin tone/texture look improved after 1 ten-minute use. Once a month I use this on my entire body- legs, back, shoulders, knees, elbows- and come out feeling like a snake that just shed its skin. If you search up this product on YouTube there’s a lady who posts a video on how she exfoliates her entire body using this. For sensitive skin users- if you have not had any experience with chemical exfoliants- I would not start here. I would recommend TO’s Glycolic Acid Toner as a not-so-strong start. If you do use chemical exfoliants and know your skin can tolerate it, start with just a few minutes and work your way up to 10 minutes each time.

After having a surgery that left me on a liquid diet for just short of a full year my skin was going through hell from such a dramatic diet change. My comfort foods quickly became milkshakes, smoothies and chocolate milk. I’d never ingested so much dairy like that before, of course I’d had those things but I wasn’t having them multiple times a day. Because of that my skin suffered, I was experiencing congested pores, frequent breakouts and plenty of those kind of pimples that are deep down in the skin. The kind where the spot hurts for days and it still doesn’t come to a head. I’d heard great things about this exfoliant, my skin wasn’t new to neither aha or bha, but I didn’t know if this would help with what I was experiencing. I’d asked on here and talked with ... The kind where the spot hurts for days and it still doesn’t come to a head. I’d heard great things about this exfoliant, my skin wasn’t new to neither aha or bha, but I didn’t know if this would help with what I was experiencing. I’d asked on here and talked with several others, they all told me this wasn’t what I needed and I should try X, Y and Z instead. I had already tried most products people were recommending with no results, and if I hadn’t tried those exact products I’d tried others with the same or similar ingredients, again with no results a couple months into trying them. Eventually I decided to ignore what everyone was recommending, after all none of these people were dermatologists or esthetician’s so they probably know just as much about skincare as I do… or possibly less. The first time I used this I made sure to stop using my glycolic acid toner and cleanser a few days in advance. I double checked ingredients in everything else I used to make sure they didn’t contain any physical exfoliants. I applied a thin layer to my face and set my timer for 5 minutes, it was my first time using it and I didn’t know how my skin would react to it so I wanted to be sure I didn’t overdo it. After rinsing it off my skin felt good! I was excited to use it again in a week. The following week I’d done as before with stopping using my glycolic acid products a few days before, this time after applying I set my timer for 7 minutes. After the 3rd week of using this weekly my skin began to clear up, my complexion was looking brighter and those around me noticed the glow. I was finally beginning to feel confident again. Around 5 weeks I had no more breakouts or congested pores, and no more deep pimples under my skin. It’s been about a year since then and I’m no longer using it weekly, I use it maybe every few weeks or when I feel my skin could use the boost. I say all of this to say if what I described sounds like what your skin is doing and you’ve wondered if this product can help, go ahead and give it a try. Just be sure to allergy test, and educate yourself on using it. Cassandra Bankson on YouTube has some great videos about using it. This product has worked wonders for me, better than other products I’d spent a few hundred dollars on. I hope they never change the formula or stop making it.

I prefer The Ordinary’s AHA/BHA 30% facial acid peel over the vampire facial, otherwise known as a PRP (platelet-rich plasma) facial that’s been popularized by Kim K. This peeling solution is a exfoliating product that has 30% AHA(alpha hydroxy acid) and 2% BHA(beta hydroxy acid), which help fight blemishes. Not only does it fight blemishes, it also helps with fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin, and uneven texture. This solution is not to stay on longer than 10 minutes. Salicylic Acid: removes dead skin cells and unclogs pores to reduce acne. This is my first bottle of this solution and I’m so thrilled and I definitely get all the hype! I was very skeptical to try this solution because I had heard it was a strong product that burns the skin! (I agree that it is a strong product, I also confirm it to be strongly effective too. It tingles when I apply it, but it feels more like an itch than a burn. I leave it on for 10 minutes and when I take it off, my skin feels so smooth. The blemishes are controlled and my pores are smaller thanks to this solution. This product has truly worked miracles on my skin and I highly recommend it!
My doctor recommended I try an exfoliant for keratosis pilaris on my face. I asked if she could prescribe me something but she suggested it would be more affordable to purchase something myself. I asked if this was suitable and they said it was. I now use this occasionally and it has completely cleared the keratin bumps/texture from my face. For daily exfoliation, I use the less strong 7% glycolic acid toning solution, but whenever the thick, dry, keratin starts building up on my face, I switch to this stronger formula and maybe use it once per week. I'm so grateful this product is available and I pray that some idiots don't misuse and abuse this product, hurt their face and then blame the ordinary and pressure for it to be banned in their country. Skincare isn't a fun game where you splash anything and everything onto your face. This is the BEST solution I've ever found to my very textured, Keratosis Pilaris affected cheeks. Thanks The Ordinary! Five stars!
So far so good with this product. I am 27, never had acne until I turned 25. Skin type is combo: dry flakey on my nose and jaw line; but also oily on forehead, chin and cheeks. I did a patch test as recommended and waited about a week before trying it for the first time. The application is very smooth, but make sure your hands and face/area of application is COMPLETELY dry. I used a very gentle cleanser before and after. I only left it on for maybe 5 minutes the first time using and now feel comfortable leaving it on for the full 10-but no longer. First time using I t had a mild tingle and made my face feel warm-but subsided after a few seconds. I have used this 5 times in the past two months. I am slowly working my way up to a weekly application. I do think my skin is still in the purge stage. The day after applying my skin is literally GLOWING. And a few days later I do notice a few new blemishes but they seem to go away within a week. My post blemish marks have definitely faded somewhat since starting this but my overall complexion is WAY better than it was before starting. Will update in a few months :)

It also gets more supple and bouncy even though I’m still in my 20s and thus have a lot of bounce & smoothness to my skin already.I have been using a stabilized, ph <3, properly packaged ascorbic acid serum for years. It’s my holy grail for brightening but since my skin is resilient I can put it on after using this. These two products are the DREAM TEAM for giving my face the radiance I’ve always wantedI use this on my face for up to 20 minutes (my own dermatologist said this was fine for me considering how my skin reacts to stronger in office chemical peels) and for 7-10 minutes on my neck. When I go over the ten minute recommendation & use it for 15+ minutes on my face I get enhanced results. No irritation, no adverse effects, instant gratification and long term gratification. Only regret is I didn’t try it earlier because I wasn’t convinced it would live up to the hype since you can only use it twice a week
I have been using this product for a couple of years now, so I think I can give an pretty in depth review. First off, getting this product at all is tough for me. When I first read about it a few years ago, I went to order it but found out I could not. Unfortunately I live in Canada where this product is not allowed to be sold (ridiculous!!) so the only downfall which has nothing to do with the product and more to do with our stupid regulations is that I have to pay $30 for it to get it off of Amazon but honestly it's definitely worth every cent! This product is a **lifesaver** for my skin. I am 47 years old and have always struggled with acne breakouts and now of course I am also dealing with the signs of aging.. and yet I still get breakouts! Using this product has taken care of both issues for me. It is an absolute Godsend against acne breakouts and leaves my skin clear, soft with healthy complexion and soo much younger looking!I also have two teenagers who love this stuff. They are breaking out like crazy these days, hormones and all but given they are young and not used to such a strong product I only put this on their skin for five minutes and slowly worked up to the full 10 minutes. The results are astounding! Within a day the breakouts start to clear up! My son had so many angry red zits and after using this product twice a week the acne is gone after just a few weeks ! My daughter has the same results as well, they went from having pimples erupted all over their faces to clear skin! They were completely blown away and very impressed. Mama knows best :-) that being said, I would be very careful using it on such young skin. That's why I only put it on them for five minutes at a time, then worked up to 10 but boy did it ever work! My children, and I will be lifelong customers. I am just hoping one day I can buy it at Sephora here in Canada instead of having to order it through Amazon.
I’ve been using this product for a few years now and finally decided to leave a review. This is one of the few strong and rapid exfoliants! Even more surprising because it’s extremely affordable, which made me suspicious about its effectiveness in the beginning. I don’t use this too often or even weekly. I try to use it once/twice a month since I also use retinol occasionally or when I notice my skin looks clogged with extra buildup. MoreI’ve been using this product for a few years now and finally decided to leave a review. Any potential whiteheads I noticed before, have dried out and peeled away. Granted I’ve been exposed to chemical exfoliation since my late teens when I started experimenting with skin products, so now in my mid-late 20s, my skin is trained and doesn’t experience burns or serious stings when using this. Keep that in mind. I also do not use this frequently and wouldn’t suggest anyone to, especially if you’re not used to chemical exfoliants. You have to build up that tolerance. I also use this when I know I’ll be indoors for that day and the next. Wear sunscreen to protect your skin when you’re outside to avoid sensitivity and damage.
I ordered my second bottle of this mask back in May, and just finished the bottle now.I've been using this as a weekly exfoliating mask, but it is not my favorite one I have ever used. It is at a pretty good price point - and I first bought this as a way to start exfoliating at home instead of just when I had the time for a facial (it was recommended to me by a friend with similar skin: sensitive, with rosacea). After finishing my first bottle; I then tried the Sunday Riley good genes (used as a rinse off 10-min mask) and PTR pumpkin enzyme exfoliating mask. I then bought this again to compare and contrast. As far as price; it is obviously the cheapest and a great option for someone on a budget. As far as how well it works; I first got this because at the time ... I read about how the use of exfoliating can be helpful for healing PIH.In all honesty, out of the three exfoliant masks I've used, this has faded my acne scars the most - but - it triggers my rosacea - whereas the SR and PTR I could use on my whole face without causing my rosacea to go nuts. So, I started only using this on my chin and jaw, but it would still manage to affect the rosacea patches on my cheeks and part of my neck.Since I have faded my acne scars to the point that I want to stop using an 'intense' mask 1-2x's a week, I don't have plans to purchase this again - as it did what I needed it to do.If you want to fade acne scars- I definitely recommend this product (but definitely include the use of sunscreen in the morning) but - if you have rosacea, be wary because every time I used it - I had a reaction.(I just purchased GR watermelon overnight mask with AHA's to see how that will help with fading remaining bits of PIH without triggering my rosacea)
