I love my first ever bottle of high coverage shade 2.0 N - bought probably around 2 years ago in London and only almost used up now as I only need a tiny bit each time (a little goes a long way). After 2 years the formula is still thick and creamy, highly pigmented but not cakey. See photos – the left bottle/top shade on arm is the first Coverage 2.0N I bought, the right bottle/bottom shade on arm is my second bottle of Coverage 2.0N. I’ve taken pics with and without.Reading the reviews on here, I can see others have had this same issue with subsequent bottles of the same shade and product but Ordinary insist they haven’t changed the formula. Could it be that as foundation ages it gets darker, due to oxidation or something similar? Although I’ve never found this to be the case with any other foundation I’ve used for years, it usually just gets cakier.I had the same product inconsistency issue with the Glycolic toner, which I had been using for years with no problems. Then suddenly my latest bottle burns my skin every time I use it, but Ordinary again insist there has been no product change. What’s going on? I’m more disappointed than anything as Ordinary has always been my favourite, fail safe brand but if the products differ all the time it’s like buying the lottery (I’m still going to buy another bottle of the Glycolic acid though just to see if it was just a dud bottle I got...)

I have never had a foundation work on my skin or work well in combination with your skincare products/serums until I tried this foundation. I was just about to pop into one of your stores to grab another bottle and saw here that you’re discontinuing it. That is just so insane. Why would you discontinue something that covers so nicely without feeling heavy or gooey? Why would you discontinue something with such a fantastic spectrum of shade options to match with all potential clients? Why would you discontinue something that people love? Someone needs to revisit and revise this decision to cut this product line because based on all of these comments, it wasn’t the right decision.

I thought I found my holy grail of foundations. Some say the texture is strange, I found it was perfect for my skin- it made my skin glowy and dewy, without the cakey feeling. I bought this several months ago, and it was single-handedly THE best decision I ever made. The wear of this foundation is comparable to my Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation BUT EVEN BETTER. The finish of this foundation is beautiful, it's hydrating so it gives a soft radiance to the skin that can be sheered out for light coverage or layered for medium coverage. It lasts very well throughout the day and softens nicely without emphasising fine lines or pores. All this magic for ÂŁ5!!! I'm absolutely devastated it's being discontinued, nothing will live up to it. Please, PLEASE bring it back. I will easily pay Armani prices for this product!!!!
I began using the coverage foundation several years ago and immediately loved this product. I don’t like to wear heavy makeup even as I age (now in my mid-40’s). This is the only foundation I’ve used that does not sink into the lines around my eyes and my laugh lines. If feels lightweight and soothing on my dry skin and performs well even in high humidity. It does not appear cakey even with powder on top. I use it as concealer as well as a foundation and it is truly buildable for when I want more coverage. I have severe environmental allergies and often have dark circles under my eyes, which this foundation seems to cover well. I also have dark spots due to birth control and sun and this foundation provides enough coverage to provide evenness. I love this foundation so much I would honestly pay twice as much as the cost - maybe even more. Since the problem was that the cost of the product price only covered the production cost and therefore it wasn't profitable, why not try to simply charge more? Rather than trying to reach a lot of people and charge very little, I think those of us who fell in love with this foundation would really not mind the increased price to justify the production. I hope you reconsider pulling this entirely and simply charge the real value of such a great product. One bottle of this stuff can last me up to a year, and competitors with inferior quality foundations often get away with charging 3x what The Ordinary does. Being in my 30's spending so much money in the make up industry I finally found The Ordinary, for the past 5/6 years this is the only one I have been religiously wearing, I love it. Perfect for my yellow/golden undertones. And I finally found the right prepping that worked and my make up stayed on!!! I loved both the coverage and the serum. Once you put this foundation on it goes on nicely you will be able to see your hyperpigmentation and freckles, but..... (Just believe me) once you have finished all your make up and finished it off with a setting spray, give it less then half an hour or less it magically evens out in a way that it's all blends in and gives a coverage like a ... MoreWell, what can I say. I am so bummed this is being discontinued. I have tried SO MANY foundations over the years and this was truly the perfect one. It blended like a dream, the color match was spot on and it looked just like skin. The price point was just an added bonus, I would have paid more. I did see constant bad reviews from "beauty gurus" and "makeup influencers" because this product IS NOT FOR THEM. This is not a full beat, full glam, full coverage, stage makeup, dunk my head in water and rub aggressively on a white cloth makeup!!!! It is a light coverage, natural feeling makeup. I am so bummed they let the pressure from the beauty community make them think this wasn't a perfect formula. Some women want this type of makeup! Please bring it back!
