I initially placed an order and received the wrong items, but the Caterpy Customer Service went above and beyond to correct their mistake! They quickly sent me new laces and a gift, and I am sold - not just on their product, but on the way they handled the error. The laces are awesome and have made my favorite shoes even more comfortable. I work on my feet about 9hrs a day, and my feet feel so much better because as they swell, the laces accommodate. I also have the hair ties, and they stay in place without braking my hair or tangling (I have curly hair and it usually gets wrapped around or ripped out with normal elastics or scrunchies). Highly recommend!

Caterpy laces provide slip-on capability to tie shoes. Convenient yet comfortable, Caterpy laces easily adjust in grommets to desired tightness allowing you to choose loose or tight and anything in between. You can make the laces loose across wide areas of the foot while at the same time making them tighter across slimmer areas. The no-slip design makes them stay put while providing no-tie slip-on capability and support. Wide variety of color options. Well suited for youth adults and seniors

Convenient - Fast Transitions - Better Control than tied laces
10 April 2023

I was skeptical about no-tie laces because I was concerned about the level of control for the fit they would provide. Saw the Caterpy laces and the ability to adjust the fit for each row of laces convinced me to give them a try.Put them into my broken-in running shoes and took them out figuring I’d need some adjustments. Stopped about a mile in and was able to make adjustments to specific spots in the laces. Ended up making another fine tuning adjustment to one shoe on my second outing to dial in the fit.Having the correct level of tension/tightness has been an issue for me with tied laces. I’d tie my shoes and might end up too tight at the top and too loose in the middle. Particularly on triathlon race days. Easy and more comfortable
30 December 2023

I don't know about everyone else, but I still can't tie both shoes the exact same tightness the first time...and I have been tying shoes for over 35 years. I do have slightly different feet; I think one is flatter because a severely torn calf left one leg just the slightest bit shorter than the other after healing. It is very slight, and hardly perceptible to the ***** eye, but I notice it when I tie shoes. With Caterpy, that isn't an issue. As someone that wears sneakers regularly, and runs in them about five times a week, I hated constantly tying shoes. I love these laces. They stay tight, but not too tight. I don't notice the difference in my feet because the laces stretch just enough to feel the same while remaining secure. I have literally changed the laces on over twenty pairs of sneakers and I will get Caterpy laces for every new pair I buy.

Game changing laces
20 March 2023

It's hard to combine comfort with a firmly locked into feeling with traditional laces. Getting the right pressure to achieve the right lockdown often results in pain and/or circulation issues in other parts of the foot. This is certainly the case for me. Problem solved with Caterpy laces. The ability to specifically adjust tightness for each eyelet make these laces a game changer. The flexibility in the laces also help a lot as the foots expands during longer runs and races, while not causing the laces to loosen. So there is never a need to tighten or adjust. I'm never going back to regular laces.

Good for casual shoes, but not for running. I suggest Caterpy's "Magic Laces" instead
24 September 2024

I bought these less for speed of putting my shoes on (e.g. triathlon) and more because I have finnicky feet and was hoping that once I got the laces dialed in, I could "set it and forget it."The trouble for me is that I have an atypically high instep, so cinching my laces down always results in a strong pressure point on the top of my foot, over my arch. This is compounded by my feet swelling on long runs. The hope was that by having the ability to dial in each "row" of lacing and couple that with Caterpy's elasticity, I would be able to find the sweet spot.Sadly, I never got there. I went for at least a half dozen runs and equally many walks (with my dog) and could not get the fit right. I went for at least a half dozen runs and equally many walks (with my dog) and could not get the fit right. I often felt more pressure points than with traditional laces, albeit in different places. And, what's worse, I got pretty bad shin splints after wearing them, no matter how I tried to adjust. This never happened with my regular laces in the same shoes. I gave up on the no-tie laces when I realized I'd changing my running patterns to pass up the shoes I'd swapped these onto: my most cushioned and generally foot-friendliest Brooks Ghost Max that I would use for my slow runs, recovery runs, and long, easy paced runs.I am now using these instead exclusively as a solution on casual sneakers to avoid having to bend down and tie my shoes. It's a slip on solution, not a running shoe solution. The good news is that I absolutely love Caterpy's OTHER running-oriented "magic laces." They also took a little bit of getting used to and can be a little finnicky. But now that I feel like I've got them in the right place, they've been exactly what I was looking for. The material has lots of friction in the eyelets, so stays put once you get it fitted right. They're elastic in the right places, so hold my feet, but have more give than a typical lace when my feet swell. And they don't come untied! I just ordered another 2 pairs of Magic Laces to put across my running shoe lineup.

Love these Laces

I have gotten to the point that buying Caterpy laces is automatic when I get a new pair of running shoes.I bought them originally to speed up the bike-to-run transition (T2) in triathlon. I resisted getting no-tie laces due to the problems that other brands had with uneven tension (tight at the top and loose in the middle and bottom). The Caterpy’s eliminate this issue and actually allow me to fine tune the tenson on each row of laces. Dialing in the tension in each shoe/row is easy.I adjust them as I put the laces in and typically make some fine adjustments on my first outing wearing the shoes. Eliminates discomfort from tight spots I would get occasionally when tieing my laces. Also, eliminates blisters from loose areas. This is my fourth or fifth set of laces and won’t be my last.

I have purchased two pairs and then I got some for my entire family and friends. Everybody who tries them loves them. I use them running and they do not loosen and are the perfect tightness and adjustable to how you like it. Then when you are tired from the run and just want your shoes off it takes two seconds to slip them off. Keep them on my retired shoes for going outside the house. Easy to get on like flip flops but you have an entire shoe. Got them for my dad so he does not have to sit down or bend over to tie his shoes anymore. If you are even thinking about getting some of these just do it, they are worth every penny. Wanting to try the xl on my work boots to see if they work so will wait for a bogo sale again I. I have used no tie laces for years and it has been a consistent struggle of adjustment and readjustment… especially if I washed my shoes or they got wet while wearing them. When I saw the ad for Caterpy I was interested… they claimed to have solved the issue and the solution seemed simple. I ordered a couple pair and laced up my shoes for a 5k the day they arrived.Zero lace adjustment required! They stayed right where I put them and I was able to dial the pressure up or down one adjustment at a time at each level. My shoes felt exactly the same at the start as they did at the end. I went ahead and laced up my work shoes and wore them for a week…again zero adjustment or change in fit.Needless to say I have ordered more Caterpy laces. They cost around the same as the no tie laces I was previously using and work better. I really like that there is no hardware to secure the laces, and they are very easily tucked in so the ends are not visible.A real improvement to no tie laces that keeps my shoes secure and comfortable! Thanks Caterpy!
