I bought this for my 8 week old French Bulldog and it has been a fantastic addition. We live in the city and were cautioned against taking him to public areas for potty breaks until he has completed his vaccinations. We keep the potty loo on our back deck and he goes right up to the slide door when he is ready to use it. He has used it consistently since the first night we brought it home for both #1 and #2, with very few indoor accidents since then. It may help that the breeder started setting the puppies on grass to potty around 7 weeks of age. We use the Wee powder and trays provided, and wash it with dish soap and water once a week. We also splurged for the K9 Grass as suggested by another customer and don't have any complaints related to smells.

I’m writing to make a product suggestion for the Large Pet Loo Toilet. My suggestion would be to increase (double/triple) the catcher bin size to easily accommodate the urination of large breed animals and/or animals that have medical conditions such as diabetes. A condition that guarantees excessive thirst, and increased urination amounts. The manufacture could easily modify the size of the catcher bin to accommodate the increased volume a win-win scenario for an already good product, making it a superior product. For my story. I recently purchased the Large Pet Loo Toilet for my 12 year old diabetic dog whose conditions include excessive thirst that results in increased urination. The Pet Loo was the largest sized product I could find, so I ordered it. I work from home, so I’m able to empty the catcher bin throughout the day. I needed to find a catcher bin that handle the urination while I am asleep overnight. The previous products I’ve had with other vendors could not handle. THE TEST: Product arrived; I was impressed by the craftmanship of the product overall. Seemed well designed and materials were sturdy. No assembly required. Grass area is a spacious area that allows for large breed dogs. Unfortunately, the catcher bin fell short and is way too small to even accommodate the urination of a large breed. My dog is 30 lbs, however after her first two urinations, the catcher bin was full. I found myself having to empty the catcher bin before I even went to sleep. The next morning, I woke up to the bin having overflowed with urine all over my floor, because it’s simply not large enough and was full The product states it’s able to hold 2 liters, this simply isn’t the case. As you can see from my video, it can barely hold the liquid from a 1.53 liter container. Even if it did hold the 2 liters this amount is simply not enough to accommodate large breeds or a dog with a medical condition. I’ve did an exhaustive search, I could not find any product that is designed to accommodate the increased urination that results from diabetes. The first vendor who designs a product with a large catch bin, will easily gain market share and have a competitive advantage with increased revenues. I’d be willing to spend $50 more for this increased catcher big capacity. I really hope you consider this suggestion. I’d be more than happy to speak with anyone about the bin capacity or design

I highly recommend the Petsafe Pet Loo Pet Toilet. I also recommend that you buy extra grass mats so you can keep the unit fresh as a daisy. We had to persevere as Bonnie wasn't too sure about using it, but she has no hesitation now, as we were confident it would be the best option for us. I found the most expensive part of the process was the cost of the "pee sponge" but I can assure you, there are other choices for the absorption of the urine if you look around. Fabulous product.

Our iggy hates going to the toilet outside so this was a great option. The only thing I don't like about it, is that whenever he uses it, his feet get wet from previous wee and then they smell. He then licks his feet all the time as I don't think he likes the wet/smelly feet either. We bought the small but I think we should have purchased the medium as there is not a lot of space for him to move around. We will continue to use this as an indoor option and then in summer when the weather warms up hopefully he will go outside!
Best purchase ever. To train my puppy to use this I collected some of his urine and placed it on the mat for him to smell. Immediately he used the pet loo. I don't bother with the Pee sponge. I have this in the spare second shower where I can empty container straight into the toilet and hose down the mat for cleaning. Best to buy a second mat to swap over when thorough clean needed
Although I bought the LARGE for my 2 small dogs, neither of them will use it after 3 weeks instead preferring to use the much smaller older Porch Potty. This particular potty seems very thin and cheaply made compared to the older one and the artificial grass seems about as cheap as you can find on the market. The grass is very crackling under dogs feet and I suggest that may be half the reason they don't like using it.
I was very sceptical of this having read lots of reviews that said it was useless. But for me it actually works. Our puppy has been with us for 6 days and now uses this for wees more than anywhere else. I have discovered he doesn't like it in a corner. Three sides must be accessible. I also leave an old towel I use to clean up his other wee accidents on one corner. It is about 2 metres away from food and I never let his toys get near it so he knows it is not to be played with.
I lost my leg 3 years ago from a rare infection and I have a flight of stairs to maneuver every time I would need to let my beloved Ruby out to wee. She always had a pad in the garage anyway just in case I’m out or asleep and she gots to go. But since my amputation, pads have become much more useful for me because it’s so much quicker for her to run downstairs go a little Tinkle and right back up. She doesn’t want to wait for me half the time to hobble and hop down the stairs. So this innovative, unique and incredibly useful blessing of a product has become my saving grace. Much cuter than a pad, and much more sanitary. I’m thrilled with my pet loo! I will say, I would prob only recommend this product for small to small/medium breeds and the large is only too ... I have gotten two new puppies and have been in the process of housebreaking them. I was using puppy pads at first however since getting the Pet Loo Pet Toilet it has taken the place of them. It took my puppies a while to adjust to the Pet Loo with my patience and me being constant they finally figured it out. Once it clicked and they caught on it has made my life much simpler. When it was time to take them to go potty I used the same technique as thou they were going outside I harnessed them up so they would not become confused. That way I had more control over them too when they first started using the Pet Loo. They now just walk on top of it do their business and get down. It makes it worth having around simply just for the convenience of it. Like on those rainy ... MoreI have gotten two new puppies and have been in the process of housebreaking them. It makes it worth having around simply just for the convenience of it. Like on those rainy days or when they are wanting a bathroom break late at night and even if I am at work during the day my older pet uses it also. He has been watching the puppies use it and started using it himself. After I have seen him do that a few times I stopped leaving pads on the floor for him as well. The Pet Loo Pet Toilet is a plus in its own rights for my elder dog to be able to use it whenever he has too. He has congested heart failure and the medication he's is on makes him potty a lot. I am so ecstatic over having this product it is a great investment. My favorite feature is the top layer of synthetic grass that allows the urine to drain through into the base then to a waste container. Inside the waste container, I used some Wee Sponge that came as a sample. The Wee Sponge absorbed the urine and the smell, which made it easy to clean up. I clean it every 3 days of use. The Pet Loo is a very durable and high-quality product. I have to say it is very sturdy, and strong especially when the puppies wanted to be playful when on top of it. I do highly recommend the Pet Loo Pet Toilet. It is an awesome product to have around the house and It would be something great to have even in an apartment. I truly love this product. It was very easy to put together I just put the synthetic grass on top of the base and with the 4 clips, it came with. I then attach the synthetic grass with the clips on each side of the Pet Loo. Next, I inserted the waste container inside the Pet Loo base. It was just that simple and ready for use. I personally would not take anything for it. It is a great product worth having.
I wasn't looking for the petloo at all as I thought it would not serve my purpose which was to introduce 5 week old puppies to basic toilet training. Luckily the lady that served me was a breeder and told me she used the petloo from 3-4 weeks of age. Although very hesitant at first due to the cost, I decided to give it a go and it has been a lifesaver! The puppies took no time at all adjusting to the petloo and the whelping area that usually resembled a Jackson Pollock painting every morning is now literally a 3 minute cleanup! I highly recommend it for litter training. Weh the pups are young, use turf only with a peepad. When pups are able to climb, introduce the base. Took 1 star off due to flimsy clips that hold the turf in place. I can see this being a problem ...
