This had become a favourite with all the family of all ages. Blend of spices are perfect and so simple to cook. I've purchased in bulk from Spice Tailor direct as it soon sells out in the supermarket. We also enjoy the other flavours in Spice Tailor range.

I've tried every way of reproducing good restaurant curries at home. ALL the 'kits'; making the base sauce from scratch; buying mail order sauces in 500ml tubs from well known restaurants; Curry 'sauce pots'; Curry pastes & powders. None of them work. They all seem to have the same taste (which would make me walk out of a restaurant if it was served to me). I don't know what 'it' is...Fennel? Fenugreek? Some preservative?

No matter how many different recipes I try, I'm never able to make a really decent Butter Chicken from scratch. Thanks to Anjum, I don't have to try any longer. This is simply delightful. Rich, but not overly so, and very, very moreish. I find it especially tasty with prawns too. My days of trying in vain to master a Butter Chicken sauce and always making it too sickly or too bland, are over! Look no further if you want to make a perfect version of this irresistible dish.

Tried Spice Tailor sauces for the first time, the Biryani's, butter chicken and tikka masala. They are delicious. Quick and easy to cook, instructions couldn't be easier. When I get home from work I know I will have a meal in 15 minutes. I have added extra chilli as not hot enough for me. I have also bought the packs from Sainsbury's and tried the fiery Goan curry, this hits the spot and is my favourite . Thank you for making these easy, tasty , convenient packs!!
This Butter Chicken mix is my favourite. Really easy cooking instructions to follow, I just add chicken, onion , mushrooms and a spinkle of coriander on top at the end. The cooking aroma in the house us just amazing and it is so tasty and authentic. Really highly recommended!
I have invested a lot of money with curry houses both eat in and takeaway over the years and we have decided by family vote that this butter chicken is better than any takeaway we have ever had! Although a mighty big review, it is consistently good, full of flavour and never disappoints. We have of course strayed to the occasional takeaway, but always feel disappointed with the outcome and expense. The spicy goan curry is also great - slow cooked with lamb is a treat! Try it; you won’t be disappointed.
Marinated the chicken for a few hours and added a little ghee and an extra dried red chilli. Served it with chapatis and it was excellent. I've removed 1 star because it is quite salty but otherwise it's a cracker.
I am a fan of Spice tailor products and hold them in high regard in terms of quality and value for money. This is the second time I have cooked using the butter chicken kit. Very clear instructions, straight forward cooking and smells and looks delicious. Tastes pretty good too, however it is described as mild - and so it is but to the point of hardly qualifying for a curry. I think, the strength needs to be increased whilst still being classified as mild. I won’t use this again unless I see that it has been given extra flavouring. None the less, I would still encourage people to try it and see.
I've tried a few of the Spice Tailor sauces and think they are truly superb. I particularly like the Goan, Rogan Josh and Keralan ones (the latter with Tiger Prawns). Last night I used the Butter Chicken sauce and it was unbelievably good. Numerous reviewers on this site mention that Spice Tailor kits produce better results than many restaurants, and I agree. For decades I've been making curries from scratch using all the classic ingredients and recipes, but I doubt I'll bother henceforth- these are just so wonderful.
my whole family loved this. Far better than any shop bought ready meals and can add what you like. I kept the chilli out and added cream at the end as my youngest likes super mild creamy curries. Was delicious and will definitely buy again.
