Wonderful book which allows children to open their minds. Beautiful old school illustrations in a time of tech. The reason I gave it 4 and 5 stars is because if you are not a native speaker some of the sentences can be difficult to read as you go for example from “b” to “br” to “b” - not easy. I would still buy the book because it is aspirational.

Beautiful book

Purchased this book as part of a baby shower gift and loved it so much I have since purchased another copy for my little person. The illustrations and story is absolutely beautiful, a great read for littles of all ages. Will definitely recommend for a special gift or just because.

Doesn't love up to the hype.

This is suited to an older reader as it takes a lot of care to look after this book.Although it is a cute book, it's not very well written.It's also difficult to "hold". The outer cover slips off, and the hard cover is essentially blank (making it an unknown book of that cover comes off). The second to last page, being a double fold out is an odd place to have this. It stops the flow of the book.Overall, NOT toddler friendly.My children do like it, so it is begrudgedly read.

Purchased to read to my 3 year old, I really adore this book it’s got such a sweet story to it and leaves the imagination wide open and gets their wee minds thinking about what they are and will grow to be. Will buy this as gift in future

Newborn gifts for expecting moms, older toddlers & adults will all love. Beautifully illustrated.

Great book. Love the illustrations. Doesn’t need to be necessarily for a newborn gift to a mom to be read to a young toddler. I’d say an older toddler will appreciate it as well. Such a pleasure to read.

I bought this to give to my granddaughter who graduated this year. I thought I was getting a hard copy. As I first started reading it, I thought oops, this is for our new great grandsons. However, as I finished it, it will be perfect for my wonderful granddaughter who just graduated.

Precious for New Parents and Graduating Seniors Alike

I bought this book to give to my daughter for her high school graduation. As a teacher I've signed several books for parents who plan to get the child's teacher each year to write a little note in it then present it to them when they graduate high school. I personally missed out on the idea for my own children. When I picked up this book and began to read it I knew I had to get it for my daughter, the last one to graduate. It is such a sweet message to children about parents' dreams for their children which in the end is just that they are happy and know they're loved.

Strangely formatted, do not recommend

It was my own fault for not realizing I was purchasing an ebook instead of an actual book, but I decided to suck it up and download it to my Kindle even though I had hoped to give it as a gift. We already had this book so I know what it is supposed to look like. This ebook version is strangely formatted and the words do not go with the correct pictures.
