I was pretty skeptical that the theragun could work as well as others said in reviews, but I have had chronic muscular spasms for a year and needed an additional treatment modity. I was hesitant at first with this sort of new technology and it’s price point, especially considering I’ve seen option priced far less. After unboxing I could see this thing is well made. Very premium, cool app, good carry case, and decent amount of tips included. After using can say it’s great for recovery. Feels relaxing to use on areas like traps where there is a lot of tension. Amazing for next day feeling on the legs after a big hike or heavy weights session. I haven’t tried the less expensive options but I recommend this if you’re okay with the money. It’s quiet by my opinion and a daily companion for me now.

We love the Theragun Elite. It is a great product and works well. The app with pre and post workout routines/programs is wonderful. After joining a AAU basketball team with increased practices and games my daughter’s calf’s were becoming tight and painful to the point were she needed to stretch several times to continue workouts and games. While training with a private trainer who had a similar product, she responded well to the therapy so we know we needed something to relieve the tightness. After a lot of research we are thrilled with our decision to invest in her and the Theragun Elite. In our opinion, it is the best full package for relief.
I was impressed with the power of this machine alone - most powerful I've used, but because of the depth of motion you can go light or hard with it. I hooked it up to the app and what a surprise! Probably the most useful app connected to a device I've used! It has focussed programmes (eg, running recovery, workout warm-up, upper/lower body focus and most useful to me, working from home muscle engament!). It shows you how to use it properly (how to hold it, where to put it on your muscles etc) and how much pressure you're using, as well as being able to accurately tailor the speed - more than just high/med/low. Buy this machine! Download the app! Be happy! Stay safe!
The Theragun has definitely made a noticeable impact on how my muscles feel. I use it once a day on average and have seen reduced soreness, reduced pain, and looser muscles. The cons are that it's very loud, the battery life isn't great (it lasts maybe 2-3 15min uses before needing to be charged). I also wish it had a wider range of speed/intensity options. The biggest con, though, is that it feels cheaply built. It's made of plastic and I can already see the pieces beginning to come apart after using it for less than a month. I worry it'll fall apart very quickly. For a $400 device, that is unacceptable. If it manages to hold up for a few years, then it will have been a great investment and I'd buy it again. I just worry it won't last another 6 months.
I realize this might sound like an exaggeration but it's not. My wife has suffered from leg aches and pains as it has my daughter all of their lives. (this has now been compounded with my wife's new love for playing pickle ball). Almost every night I would need to get up in the middle of the night and massage my wife's legs so that she didn't do some thing we call "the bicycle" in bed which was her stirring constantly and keeping us both awake. Since we bought the Thera gun it has literally been life-changing and has helped her beyond what I can even write here. I can't recommend this product to more highly. -Ken from Flagstaff AZ
I was skeptical about these devices but used one belonging to a friend (also a phsio) a few times when I was in strife. Amazing. I now use most evenings, particularly after heavier training session (bike, rowing or weights) or when I feel I need it. They are expensive but I'm glad I bought this brand instead of one of the imitation brands. It is powerful and has a very long battery life.
Imagine finally winning over your mother in law, and "thinking" you found her the perfect gift for Christmas just so she opens it in front of the whole family and it comes out dirty with brown stains inside the case. You look on horrified hoping that it at least works while the rest of the family laughs at giving her a "used and broken gift". Turns out the machine doesn't hold a charge but no matter you've been a Therabody client for years and have bought 2 Pro machines and spread awareness for the brand so this should just be a quick warranty issue and it will be resolved quickly... nope! Your almost better off with a cheap percussion machine from Costco or if your budget allows just switch to Hyperice. They sell these at Equinox for a reason.
I purchased this product brand new from the company directly. Upon receiving it, I plugged it in to charge. It charged very slowly and after it said 85%, I decided to try it. Unplugged it and it won't turn on. plug it back in its back at 0% battery. I went over to amazon and read some of the reviews and others were having similar. Very sad for a 400 dollar product. I won't be getting a replacement as it appears therabody has issues with batteries.
