The cheaper ones do not have any oomf to push into your muscles. They only work superficially and require you to push in deep (which usually causes the product to stall). Theragun requires no effort on your part and gets in very deep.

Powerful machine that packs a punch! Unfortunately comes at a cost of useless batteries dieing after 10 months of use! After paying a small fortune for this gun I'd expect a better warranty including batteries! Buyers beware gun warranty is 2 years, batteries is only 90 days!

Really powerful little machine that does the job well. Have been using this almost daily since purchase and has been great at helping muscle recovery. I really like the handles which offer different angles of holding the gun. It is a little louder than I expected but this is not an issue for me.
Cons:The noisiest clangiest massager I have ever owned .Have to turn our tv up above 70 just to make sense of what they are saying over the extremely loud clacking and rattling of this overpriced machine.Oil(or grease) from the shaft has stained my new sheets and pillow cases I bought for Christmas along with 2 shirts. What a great tool this gun is. Comes with all the bit and bobs to target any muscle in which ever way suits you. Battery last pretty long as well depending on how often you use it. I've owned this for a few months now and only charged it twice since. Very powerful even on the lowest setting. It's a heavy tool so helps to have someone use the tool on you. Can fatigue the arms if held up for too long. Might cost a lot compared to others on the market but you get what you pay for.
I bought this for my daughter after seeing another person using one at an event. It delivers on all scales and is great for both warmup and remedial applications. I have to admit, I was a sceptic upon first use but now a diehard convert. The convenient guidance from the user-friendly app helps guide through either pre-race warmup's or post race massage, and even though it was intended for my daughter I’ve come to find the ritual of running this powerful massage gun up and down my limbs and across my shoulders loosens any muscles after hours of sitting in the same position daylong so it's a fight for who's using now.
Very happy with the Thergun.Myself and family use gun before and after physical activities or gym sessions. The additional attachments come in handle to work on most parts of the body. I would highly recommend this product.
While it is a very expensive message gun, it does deliver. My previous 'value range' gun would lose performance whithin a few minutes of use, and could not do deep tissue like hamstrings. This gun never loses performance and easily does deep tissue message.The only negative is the price, as even when it's on sale, it's still an expensive outlay.
this product is well worth the money. It has various strength settings and can be used on all parts of the body. I bought for my partner who does triathlons and he loves it. it is part of his regular routine. I find it useful for my neck which often gets stiff from sitting at a desk. It has two batteries which means it is always ready to go.
